Ok, miss elevation, howde you get up there??

I tried gth in firestorm but that only brought me up to about 8000 meters max, I had to speed HUD it the rest of the way..  I'm still falling as I type this 😨 Sixteen minutes in and 148,000 meters up.

This is taking much longer than I thought it would  33 minutes in and I just went below 100,000 meters.  I want to see if the graphics still glitch out when I land but don't want to teleport as I think it might reset everything.  I have to leave the house in another half an hour, this is going to be cutting it close.

I did this once in opensim and was hoping to get the same picture for SL, I thought it looked really cool.

I think with OS I was able to get up much higher using FireStorm's command line though.  I forget how high I had to be to have this level of glitches.

Just an update, I finally landed after an hour and three minutes of free falling.  The glitches all disappeared, and I am now standing safely in front of my Bellisseria home; just in time to grab my keys and head out of the house 🥰

I wonder how long it would have taken with a parachute or maybe a hanglider. I need to find out. Orrrr, can you tie an anvil to you and fall faster??

As usual, I'm late to the party... For thousands of years, people erroneously thought that heavier objects fell faster than lighter ones. It was not until Galileo studied the motion of falling objects that it became clear that, in the absence of air resistance, gravity causes all objects to fall at the same rate.

I was thinking of that as I was falling, with a parachute I wonder how far I could have gone, and if I could make it through most of the continents south of me.   I also wondered if security orbs would reach all the way at that altitude.

What if you guys lit up the sky with hot air balloons.

Gravity? Isn't that just a warping of space/time?

Oh I love this falling/floating experiment! Well, you remember maybe my floating-with-umbrella-from-the-roof-of-hotel-Chelsea obsession, so then you know I love to float LOL.

Folks, I had a marvelous time here! In RL I am a writer and I am now busy with a new book (and finding a publisher for my first childrens book). I said earlier that I have to limit my time at Second Life when a neighbour practised some visual pollution, but then I bought new land and turned also everything to spring. Maybe it was an excuse to pospone serieus writing. But I guess I mainly had a hell of a good time here! But now I must limit my time seriously if I want to succeed in finishing my book ever! 🙂

Maybe one day I'll share what I write, it's in Dutch of course, and not translated so that will stick to small bits with Deepl translate or something. And from time to time I will definitely check back here. But for now, I have to get going! Dear, dear people! See you soon!

I am so sad and happy at the same time, sad for me and happy for you. I used Google translate, je zult heel erg gemist worden en altijd van je houden, schrijf goed.

You made my time in this space wonderful, thank you.

I finally got a chance to log into SL and explore a bit today, so I decided to check out the destinations and found a really gorgeous and creative region called "Memories by Cica Ghost"

It is so surreal, I love this style so much.

There was even a little area to dance, and I adored the animations.

It was nice to get away from all of the chores, and responsibilities of the day and relax here for a bit.

I was thinking of that as well as I was floating around 🙃 I thought how much you probably would like to be slowly gliding down with your umbrella 😊  I had read your last post and wish you well on your book, and you will be missed here, I hope you get a lot of chances to share your experiences in SL as well as your book on the forums in the near future.

I visited Sandor's and Caitlin's new mansion to see how they are doing with the decorating and personalizing.  It looks great! The place is so big it has a small movie theater.  So, I grabbed my popcorn and espresso and watched rock videos on YouTube.  If you ever stop by to visit, the singles seating is on the edges and the couples seating is in the middle.
