  1. Store page: https://gyazo.com/9bc61d7bc305818d54ae7ba8b7c192e6 Store page filtered by 'demo': https://gyazo.com/42bf7b150db52eea8223b9f3754b7848 There are no demos in the MP store when filtered using the term 'demo'. Am I doing something wrong?
  2. Thanks for sharing. I agree it sounds like very poor business practices, intended solely for their own benefit without consideration or respect for the customers. The fact that they try to distance/dissociate themselves from the original TMP and pretend to not have any responsibility is despicable. And it seems like they have not changed, still charging a much higher price for their mesh body compared to the competition. Are their HUDs the only ones (compared to Belleza and Signature) that work on an outside-of-SL server and can be killed at any moment? If so, then it is an even stronger reason to not recommend them.
  3. Legacy Athletic is BOM capable. Have you activated BOM on your Legacy Athletic? If you are unsure, please feel free to taking a look at this tutorial [link] under the section "Activating BOM on Legacy bodies".
  4. The price is fantastic, but the reviews are all over the place. I don't understand how it is possible to have so many 1 and 5 star reviews at the same time. Unfortunately none of their products have demos.
  5. Agreed, please do not change the post to something meaningless. If other people experience the same issue in the future, they won't be able to benefit from the helpful answers from the community members.
  6. For the benefit of those ones who were not around when it happened, what is the back story around Legacy and TMP? I was away from SL for 8 years, so no idea what happened.
  7. IMHO people should not be so uptight and relax a bit. SL is a game. I also find funny that some people spend so much time and L$ customizing and accessorizing their avatars to look great, and then get upset if others look at them. Really?
  8. Very cool to see Seraphim's survey. Despite the fact that the sample size is small, especially for male avatars at only 201 responses, the data points are from people who shop. I've always wondered how Lucia collects her data, to understand what segment of the SL population her stats are from. Is there an equivalent to Seraphim's mesh head survey for mesh bodies?
  9. Yes, it is L$5000 inworld. Yes, it is still on sale at L$1500.
  10. I doubt that major skin content creators will follow suit. Despite the fact that Lelutka has been very popular, Catwa still holds a sizeable market share, and any creator that only caters to Lelutka will be losing a lot of potential sales. For data on mesh heads market share, refer to Lucia Nightfire's statistics released a couple of weeks ago [link].
  11. I concur with your assessment and recommendation, Orion. At the current price points, IMHO Jake is a bargain. With the latest Belleza update, Jake's neck issue has been addressed and it supports BOM. And Jake is well supported by clothing designers. I use both Gianni and Jake. I personally like Jake because I can have more muscular legs using it. Even with the sliders at 100, Gianni's legs leave a bit to be desired for my taste. One might argue that Legacy is superior compared to Jake, but my perception is that there are not enough benefits to justify the price difference between Legacy (L$5000) and Jake (L$1500).
  12. Only the person who wrote it can see what is in the note, and employees at LL who have access to it, and whoever LL gives access to that data as well. The positive side of recording such information off-line is that it removes the ability for LL to access it. LL already has a multitude of data points on us, such as what we like, our interests, what type of people/demographics we associate with, what we buy, our spending patterns, location, etc. Enriching it with additional data from Notes - e.g., birthdate, profession, phone number, etc. - can make it even more useful/valuable. Since I've learned how social networks leverage our data, I've lost faith on corporations ethically managing our data. I'm aware that before social networks, Google was already mining our data and selling it. And before Google, credit card companies were doing the same. It just seems like now with the growth of the data economy, things are getting exponentially worse.
  13. I have not experienced this issue for a while (god, hope I'll not jinx it by saying this). After reading this thread, what I did was to remove the "Edit, delete or take my objects" permission I had given a few other avatars. The one remaining avatar who still has that permission enabled (my RL spouse) does not visit my build. All has been good so far. Hope this helps.
  14. Unfortunately this is currently not possible. It would also be great to be able to assign prim allocation out-of-the-box taking into consideration the Z axis, not only X and Y axis. Surprisingly enough, EEP was implemented taking the Z axis into consideration (ground level, sky 1000m, sky 2000m and sky 3000m), in addition to X and Y axis.
  15. Thanks, LilNosferatu. We are on the same wavelength. It is not uncommon to leave my avi logged in when I'm home. My spouse needed a bio break in the middle of the movie, so we paused it, and that is when I noticed the IM. Out of courtesy to him, I let him know what was going on, so he would not interpret as being ignored. I feel saddened by the "you must have done something to deserve it" reaction. It was out of kindness that I was helping this stranger, who was needing help customizing his avatar. And again it was out of kindness that I decided to inform him of the situation.
  16. It is my belief that RL should come before SL. Actually, it is a rule for me. I've been trying to help this person who stopped playing SL for many years and recently returned, to put together his new mesh avatar; let's call this person "Joe". I had given him tips and information on the main topics around mesh avatars already. I was watching a movie with my RL spouse, when I noticed that Joe IMed me inworld and said that he was shopping, mixing and matching skins, and wanted my help. I replied indicating that I was unavailable at the moment and would help him after the movie was over. Well... Joe didn't like my reply, so he unfriended me. I love entitled people who think that you should drop everything you are doing to help them, who think their needs are more important than my RL spouse, and that somehow you owe them something for helping them. Shesh... I sent him an IM, wishing him a Happy New Year and much fun in his future adventures in SL.
  17. Bjor, it is exciting and inspiring to see you taking steps towards college! You are an amazing person, and throwing yourself into your studies will pay off, not only by bettering yourself, but also by helping others who might be in need. I'd like to wish you plenty of success in this new chapter of your life. All the best in 2022 and beyond!
  18. The ladies in the community will be able to provide much more specific assistance. Having said that, I'd recommend your friend to go to skin stores and see if she finds a look that pleases her. She can start at one of these stores (just a suggestion, there are other stores inworld): Clef de Peau [SLurl] Not Found [SLurl] Happy New Year!
  19. Thanks for compiling and sharing this data, @Lucia Nightfire! Looking at the male body market share, and comparing with the stats from 6 months ago, the changes are surprising IMO. Apparently Belleza Jake's market share has remained unchanged at 5.5%, despite the new update and the ongoing 50% sale; this is certainly not what I was expecting. Signature Gianni's market share dropped from 9.8% to 8.9%. Inithium Kario has managed to attain 0.1% of the market share so far. Niramyth Aesthetic seems to be holding well, increasing market share from 1.9% to 2.0%, despite Kario's entrance in the market. And Legacy Athletic managed to increase its market share from 2.4% to 2.6%, despite being the most expensive mesh body among the male ones. I also noticed that the sample size increased from 145K to 274K; I wonder if a larger sample size has impacted the results, or if it is statistically irrelevant (not a statistician here).
  20. Hi Chris. I don't experience that issue with my outfits. For instance, get some demos at Cold Ash - both pants and shoes - and see if you still experience this "flooding" problem.
  21. I believe the reason this person unfortunately is not remembered and sadly his mausoleum is in poor repair is because his work, albeit beautiful, was not truly meaningful and did not touch people's lives in a significant way. As a counter example, let's take Frederick Banting and JJR Macleod. In 1921 they discovered insulin and the cure for diabetes. Prior to this discovery, people with type 1 diabetes lived no more than a year or two. Today approximately 537 million adults live with diabetes. Due to the importance of their work, and how many people are impacted positively by their work, they are still remembered, 100 years after their work was completed. (hum, I'm sure someone will say that they've never heard of Banting or Macleod )
  22. In my opinion, the fact that Kario includes the fit and flex options is one of its big selling points, where flex is the bodybuilder avi and fit is the regular joe avi who looks after his body but is not a gym rat. My guess is that Inithium created Kario fit because they did not want to be pigeonholed into the bodybuilder avi market with Kario flex only. So as the customer, I'd like to be able to buy regular clothing (suits, business casual, etc.) at least for fit. I'd like to go to Cold Ash, Deadwool and other mainstream stores and buy clothing for Kario. I'd be fine if they do not serve Kario flex, but at least Kario fit. So back to the original point, even if we disregard Kario flex bodybuilder avi, the major male clothing creators are not serving Kario fit up to this point.
  23. I'm a big SL fan. I have never played Minecraft, but I understand that they are very successful and have approximately 140 million monthly active users. It offers customization and building capabilities. It has a commerce and currency system. Microsoft claims that the Metaverse is already here and it is Minecraft, among other Microsoft products. Despite my love for SL, I think it is niche and not as commercially successful as other metaverses. What are your thoughts? Will the future be a constellation of metaverses, or will there be one metaverse to rule them all?
