  1. Hello Jadoline Regarding your head skin and body skin question, yes, the recommendation to avoid seams on the neck between the head and body skins is to get the head and body skins from the same store, and on the same skin tone. This will help not having a neck seam. All the best!

    Ojos

  3. That is how one of the monitor makers envisions a possible use of their monitors, as they show here. The one I have at home is an IPS monitor with 5120x1440 native resolution at 60Hz, 1000:1 contrast ration and supports 1.07 billion colors, which usually suffices for most applications.
  4. Suddenly I feel so dumb. I use my ultrawide to play games, but somehow it never occurred to use it for SL. I think this is how I'll play SL from now onwards.

¿Qué cabeza estás usando? ¿Qué máscara alfa estás usando con tu nuevo avatar? ¿Cuál es el nombre exacto? ¿Puedes compartir una imagen de tu cabeza con el problema?
  6. Thanks, Molly. Cool, they have AOs with bento animations then.
  7. At home I sit about 3.5 feet away from my monitor. When I use my iPad mini, I usually hold it about 1 feet away from my eyes. So despite the fact that the iPad mini 8.3" screen is much smaller compared to my monitor, due to the shorter distance from my face, it does not feel that diminutive. I believe that the 7" touchscreen on the Steam Deck will not feel that small either, given how people use handheld devices. But as @bigmoe Whitfieldpointed out, it would had been nice if the display had higher resolution.
  8. Not an entire sim, but Calas Oz Nighclub at Calas Galadhon.
  9. Valve's Steam Deck [link] is a full x86 PC. It has an AMD Zen 2 CPU, Radeon 8 RDNA 2 CUs (GPU), an AMD APU, 16 GB LPDDR5 onboard RAM, 64 GM eMMC memory, 256/512 GB SSD, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band 2.4 GHz/5 GHz 802.11a/b/g/n/ac WiFi. It runs on SteamOS (based on Arch Linux), with the option for Windows. It has a keyboard on the 7" touchscreen display, but can be connected to mouse, keyboard and external monitor/TV as well and be used as a PC. In addition to the touchscreen, it has a number of gamepad controls, thumbsticks and trackpads. The first few pre-release units found their way into the hands of a number of reviewers [Linus Tech Tips][Gamers Nexus], and the opinions have been positive for select AAA games. Main caveats seem to be around poor haptic feedback - which we don't use in SL anyway - and battery life. More intense AAA games had mixed results. Considering that SL still uses OpenGL to render 3D graphics, which has been superseded by Metal/DirectX/Vulcan/others used by current AAA games, I hope the hardware will satisfy SL needs. Reviewers also noticed that the thermal design built into the hardware throttles itself to keep internal temperature under control. I hope this will be a good device for mobile SL, while we wait for the dedicated mobile SL Android/iOS viewer indicated by LL in their 2022 roadmap. Steam Deck will start shipping to consumers in 2.5 weeks (February 25). Has anyone pre-ordered it?
  10. I understand that the AO is not bento, but rather the animations. What I meant in my post is that the animations in the male AOs available at Oracul and Akeyo are not bento. So if an avatar has a Belleza Jake (as an example) mesh body, using those AOs will result in the avatar still having starfish hands because the animations are not bento. For this reason, I would not recommend those AOs.
  11. I'd appreciate the wisdom of the community to clarify a question. I already read the "Object Bonus" section of "Managing your parcel" [link] article in the knowledge base, and understand how a parcel can have its object capacity increased by using capacity from other empty areas within the region. Is it possible to have such object bonus capability across multiple regions within a state? For instance, a state with two adjacent regions, where both regions have double prim bonus, but all capacity is used in one region, while leaving the other region empty. Is such hypothetical scenario possible?
  12. If you wear body and head skins from the same creator and in the same tone, you should not have a neck seam and not need to use the neck blender, considering that you have Legacy Athletic/Lelutka Skyler and both are BOM enabled.
  13. I just tested the male AOs at Oracul and Akeyo. They are not bento. I would not recommend them.
  14. Now everybody is checking their own profile to see how many followers they have.
18. Having seen this topic surface in the forums so many times, I got curious to better understand the reason behind it. So this is what I found after perusing the internet for a bit. "Its because when you stare at another person, that person doesn't know what you are thinking about him/her. He/she becomes anxious as to whether what you are thinking is bad or unacceptable about him/her. But lets say you tell the reason directly to him/her as to why you stared, that will make his/her uncomfortability (sic) lesser or even disappear (depending on the reason of course!). This is the same uncomfortability (sic) when there is silence between 2 people who sit opposite to each other not talking at all (but perhaps want to talk). Sharing thoughts ease both of them & will let them know either of them is harmless." This aligns with David's experience; after they started talking and clarified that there was no threat, their defensiveness died down. "Take a step back and think about WHY you feel uncomfortable. As human beings we are still animals after all and as animals we are built to assess threats in various environments. So just like a Zebra is gonna be a little spooked if it sees lions in the distance, you're gonna feel uncomfortable if you walk into a room with strangers and they focus on you. Now if you "fixed this problem" and suddenly could walk into any room and be 100% comfortable no matter who looked at you imagine the problem it would cause. Imagine if you walked into an unfriendly bar and didn't notice that the creepy guys in the corner were checking you out funny? Imagine if you were in front of an interview panel and you didn't notice that the one interviewer is giving you an evil eye? Imagine if you had toilet paper on your shoe as you walked out of a mall bathroom and didn't notice that the lady walking with her child looked at you funny? Starting to get the weird logic? You feel uncomfortable because your brain is assessing threat levels and that's totally normal. So noticing the creepy guys in the bar will make you avoid them, the moody interviewer will make you take more care with your answers and the lady in the mall will make you look down and pull the toilet paper off your shoe." It might be a losing battle to fight our preservation instincts. The tools we have at our disposal are communication - which some people are terrible at - or avoid triggering the situation to begin with - by disabling crosshairs. Just my 2 cents.
  19. Have you considered creating your own tattoo? It is not difficult, assuming that you have the floral pattern that you want to use. Take a look at this YouTube video [link]. There are many other videos; I picked this one in particular because it uses GIMP, which is a free program that you can download onto your computer. GIMP is very good and versatile, so if you learn how to use it, you can also use it for editing photos and other images. Hope this helps!
  20. In addition to the stores you listed, I would add Clef de Peau [SLurl] and Stray Dog [SLurl]. And as Rowan indicated, most stores have few body skins. They are to be matched with the variety of head skins.
  21. What kind of store will it be? If you are planning on selling bibles, yeah, you might have a problem.
  22. Loved this tool. It is great that it automatically adjusts to your avatar, for ease of use and checking your body proportions. Thanks for sharing! I found out that the trapezius on my avatar is too tall, which pushes my neck and head higher than "ideal", but unfortunately it does not look like any of the appearance shape sliders allow adjustment of that body part.
  23. I have the impression that you've experienced much unkindness, in SL, RL, or both, and I'm sorry to hear that. No one deserves to be treated unkindly. I do hope that you'll meet friendly souls in your life adventures, with whom you'll develop positive friendships/relationships. Sometimes life treats us with wonderful little surprises. One day recently I was at a shop, testing poses on a product I was considering purchasing, and this lady initiated a conversation with me. It was a delight to unexpectedly meet such a nice person, and have the opportunity to carry a thoughtful and interesting conversation; we ended up becoming good friends. I wish that would happen more often. We always joke how surprising it was for our friendship to flourish from both of us simply going out shopping. But what I learned is that someone has to take the first step. If she had not initiated the conversation, we would continuing being total strangers to each other. I'd like to wish you all the best in your SL and RL, with much kindness.
