I've wondered if creating here on second life is like on imvu or is it different? I don't know much about creating avatars here on second life that are baked on mesh. I use photopea which is like photoshop but its free and website based but has all the same functions as photoshop, I also have blender but i don't know how to use it at all. I'm looking to learn to create virtual products here on second life for fun and learn something new. I'm not good at coding or scripting but i can learn just will need to watch a step by step video on how to do it.

Hello there, I'm new to mesh building I have a building and it is mesh however it won't let me place furniture onto the floor, I get an error saying Cannot place item is there a way to make the mesh floor prim? I'm new to mesh and never had a mesh building before.

I know a few RP sims who have rules that people use mesh avatars mainly because some RP sims have RP events and take photos and mesh avatars look better on Black Dragon for photos. Every sim owner is different when it comes to what avatars are allowed.

Full private region is better Mainland i always have issues with heavy lag.

It is interesting however some states like Texas and Kansas are limiting access to adult content in laws that have passed through will this affect those states for adult content?

My Gaming PC has really good hardware and is from 2022 I get about 60-70 frame rate even though my monitor can have 200 fps rate. I haven't noticed any overheating issues with my computers temperature. PBR does have more of an effect for frame rates depending on where I am at in world. On my sim its not bad other places depend on how full it is with people. I have a 1660 Super Video Card and AMD Ryzen 5 processor with six cores.

IMVU allows minors on the adult side without any protection for adults, I agree with SL being a safe place for real adults. Parents and Guardians who are not really good with the internet tend to allow minors to run free online without any protection measures for kids. I have a few RL friends who do take internet precaution but we are both in the same age gap and don't allow their kids to run online freely.

I feel like from my understanding with SL and how to attract new users is based on a few things. A few people I know could not figure out how to dress their avatar or even do the tutorial properly since there was no way for them to understand how to go through inventory and the more major issues to keep people around on SL. Most people who left IMVU and came here to SL have a hard time figuring out SL, if there was more immersive tutorials to help new users out that would be a positive thing along with how to rez items out, renting out land etc. Maybe have some people who can help new users out that are not bots are AI but actual people who are longtime residents of second life.

I am needing some help on my sim with various things as I am working on redoing my urban rp sim. I have a hard time with making buildings, roads and items straight to be perfect. I'm not that good with lining things up. If anyone has time and would like to help feel free to contact me on second life.

From what I saw in the video it seems like Brad is working hard to make Second Life better for everyone in the community, I have never once seen a CEO engage within the community like Brad has done. At least Second Life has it's benefits I am able to do more than on IMVU. I like exploring different sims and meeting different people. I do hope Brad does what he intends to do with Second Life.

Personally, I am glad the rules have been updated and as someone who only visit adult regions there is no issue with it a lot of the sims I visit heavily enforce the rules and always have moderators around. I was going to have RP kids with my EX but that is no longer an issue for me. I'm happy with the new rules in place. The big concern I only have is with Mobile that Teens may try to access SL and have access to IMVU which LL should put in the google playstore and apple store that Second Life is for real life adults not minors, as IMVU allows their app to 13+ but IMVU only caters to the few adults left and more into hip things like NFT and other things that are not profitable. A lot of IMVU users left IMVU and have used Second Life in recent years. Just keep minors off the platform is all I ask.
