It's not ironic at all. I'm not singling anyone out, not responding to anyone, and not mentioning any threads in particular. Which is exactly what happens when someone dumps all over a poster who bumps an old thread. There are plenty of good reasons to bump an old thread, for an update, for example. The original information may be out of date but can often give someone context or some historical background before delving into what's happening now.

There's no big deal. People spaz out over necro posting because they love crapping all over people on an online forum and feeling sanctimonious about it. IT'S SILLY.

I noticed this too. Ive always loved the mainland and look forward to having more choice of affordable plots. But it's not great for people who have seriously invested in lots of mainland obviously.

This scenario is similar to the "neighborhood" where I have mainland now and its working pretty well actually.

This is absolutely right but interestingly, I joined in 2004 and immediately started making and selling things along with a group of people who joined at the same time. I am the only one no longer making content in SL from that group. The rest of them are still successful content makers. The content available in is SL is so amazing and beautiful right now. It's part of what keeps me coming back.

A general cleanup would be nice. Instead of us having to report objects that violate the TOS before someone comes to sweep them up. This would take some man power though that they probably don't have.

There's a ton of really old accounts still around. I recently reconnected with people from 2003-2006 in SL. No one really "leaves".
