  1. Which is why I added my comment after reacting with the laugh emoji to the OP. I just wanted to be sure no one thought I was laughing at them.
  2. In all my years in SL, until the creation of premium sandboxes, I avoided all sandboxes like the plague, because I knew I would ALWAYS run into at least one griefer. It was just a fact of life. Did I report said griefers? Yes, but I also learned that using those sandboxes just were not worth the headache of dealing with the griefers. There were a couple places I would occasionally use, Builder's Brewery and The Ivory Tower, where griefers tended to get dealt with rather quickly. For many years I maintained a large enough land that I could rez a platform in the sky to build on, but with premium sandboxes I don't need to do that and consequently the amount of sqm I pay tier on has decreased substantially.
  3. The OP is funny if you take it tongue-in-cheek, which is how I intend to take it. My laughing at it has nothing to do with any other thread in the forums.
  4. If your friends are proficient making and rigging mesh and have established stores then tell them to apply again.
  5. Blue did this survey to see which were the top bodies her customers wanted her to create for. Some of those who use the less popular brands were asking for their favorites to be added so this was a method to determine which bodies she would add or remove from her line of sizes. You'd think that every person who wanted Blue to create sizes for their favorite body would vote as such, but it ended up being basically the same as she's been doing all along with the three Belleza"s, the two Slink's, and the Maitreya. That's six sizes she has to have rigged. That's a lot of work. By the way, I have no affiliation with Blueberry whatsoever. I am just an info junkie who is constantly looking for the latest trends. And I admit that Blue's clothes are faves of mine so naturally I pay attention to that brand. I agree it's possible that this is not a good indicator for the smaller mesh body brands since she doesn't create for their brands. But considering that every other survey I've ever seen, no matter who was conducting it, shows basically the same data (with Maitreya way out in front of any other body) I think it's still a useful source of data. I doubt you could get more reliable information unless LL themselves ran a survey on mesh bodies, which is highly improbable. So we go with what is available.
  6. My issue with mesh floors isn't so much the falling through or hovering above the floor thing. My issue is trying to rez a no-copy mesh item on a mesh floor. Too often you get a not-able-to-rez message and the items poofs. At least nowadays those items tend to end up back in your inventory once you relog unlike the earlier days when those items were just plain gone.
  7. Lord have mercy ... do I have to say mesh .. okay .. I meant mesh since this thread is about mesh skyboxes. I see MESH skyboxes all over the sky. Better?
  8. In the few cottages I build, I never use mesh for the floor because of the rezzing issues. In the mesh homes I buy I typically will rez a box for the floor and texture it. I do this for two reasons, I very often am not fond of the floor texture and in the rare case that I like the floor texture I will still do it to prevent rezzing issues. There are just certain things where mesh is not a good option.
  9. The sky is littered with skyboxes in the mainland and the majority of them are not rentals. I don't know where you get this idea that people don't buy their own skyboxes.
  10. I'm not 100% positive about this, as my memory fails me at times these days, but if I recall correctly, Blue made clothing for Belleza and Slink before Maitreya. Remember the Slink and Belleza bodies were released before the Mait body. I also remember Blue's clothing not fitting so well on the first pieces I bought from her for my Maitreya body. I have no idea when she got the kit. I'm not privy to that information. I'm just saying that as for a "long association" she has been associated with Slink and Belleza longer than Maitreya.
  11. There requirements to get a mesh kit are simple. You have to be able to show that you create mesh clothing and that you have a established store selling your mesh clothing. The CSR for Maitreya has handed out hundreds of kits. I know this personally. It's unfortunate that these false rumors continue to be spread. Blueberry has included sizes for all of the major brands of clothing since she began making fitmesh so why would you think it would be skewed to Maitreya over any other brand? Do you even use a mesh body, Bitsy? I thought you were still using classic, in which case, of course you are shopping elsewhere.
  12. Sour grapes? You just can't accept the FACT that the vast majority of people prefer the shape and HUD of the Maitreya body. No one has been brainwashed. We know what we like and no crying "brainwashed" is going to change that. Better luck next time!
  13. Rarely used legacy search because it was always totally screwed due to camping and other issues. Search sucks period. When I do use search it's web search and IMO opinion it's only slightly better than legacy, and I only use it to search for locations of stores or groups I'm already familiar with.
  14. I don't think her "association" with Maitreya is any different than her association with Belleza or Slink. In fact, she's made sizes for Maitreya, Slink, and Belleza since she's been making fitmesh. I'm not sure what association you are referring to anyway. Do you consider anyone who makes Maitreya sized clothing to have some kind of unique association? The real tell here isn't the number that request for Maitreya .. it's how few ask for the other bodies. So using your argument, there are many who don't think that at some point they might want to even try the other brands. Even more telling! She is probably the most popular clothier on the whole grid and has been for some time now. So no, I don't think the fact that it's Blue makes the numbers any less valid, quite the opposite in fact. She is in a unique position to gather more data than most.
  15. Traffic has been gamed since SL opened its doors. I don't think it counts for much nowadays anyway. You certainly don't see near as many of the incentives merchants used to offer to get people to "camp out" at their stores. In any case, the rule for using scripted agents is still in place, who knows if anyone actually abides by that rule though.
  16. There are four things you can never take off, you can only replace them. They are skin, shape, eyes, and hairbase. So what is happening is you've tried a demo for a shape. Typically shape makers make their demos with extra large hands and feet. Of course the actual shape when purchased will have normal hands and feet.
  17. You can AR anything. The question is did LL impose a penalty for doing so? I doubt it seriously.
  18. In the Sansar store you can go to any item in the store and if you've already purchased the item this is what you see instead of the buy button. You hit the purchased button and get this popup: So they know how to do this already. Hopefully they could do it the same way for the MP.
  19. Reread her final sentence from the original post. Count the question marks. There are two questions. The last one goes beyond just is it griefing. That's why most of us said technically it's not griefing but then went further to say why people could be offended and possibly complain about the experience. And I think each and everyone of us added that it's her land and she can do whatever she wants with it. Had she only asked about griefing this entire thread would have looked different.
  20. You didn't find the UUID of the Slink, Tone 5 body. What you did was make a screen shot of a patch of the skin and then imported that image using the standard import texture method available in any viewer. You then obtained the UUID for the texture you just uploaded. That is NOT the UUID for the actual Slink skin. It's also not advisable to do so as it is considered theft regardless.
  21. If you were to section off a small parcel where your actual home is and where you do not want visitors to enter and then placed the hornet nests inside that area visitors would get pushed out of your private area and back into the public areas. This way your hornets could do their job but still allow your visitors to explore the area you've designed for public access. Add a description to the private area indicating it is for private use only. No need to warn guests that hornets may be about because they are only getting pushed back into the public area rather than ejected from the park. I have done something similar where I live with my home completely open to the public but my private dressing area is guarded by a security orb.
  22. You couldn't pay me to enter your land. lol. Not that I'm afraid of being kicked out of the land but you clearly don't want guests unless you can play a prank on them. I'm not going to be part of your sick joke. Adding .. and with that I'm out. I have said too much already.
  23. I went there today. I didn't step foot in your inhospitable parcel. I wanted to see for myself what you had written in the description. I don't care when you wrote it. It's still there and people can innocently inter that land and stumble into the trap you have set for them. But hey, it's your land. How you treat your guests, that you have told is open for everyone to ENJOY, is your business. But then you made it our business by asking a question you really didn't want an answer to.
