  1. The toilet is named, Toronto-Toilet, by ~BAZAR~. The sinks are from Dust Bunny, named dust bunny & con . lauren bathroom . double vanity.
  2. Now that I'm starting to furnish the inside of my home, I've started rethinking my backyard. LOL .. prims!! No matter how many I have I can always use more. I've moved my "vineyard" to create a separation between the proper backyard and the working side of the yard. I've taken out some of the grass and reduced the size of my fruit trees substantially reducing the LI by a nice amount. All this so I can add all the things to the inside. It seems I always finish off my bathroom first. I added a wall to my Buffalo Pastures home to separate the large room where the stairs are located. Now I have a nicely sized bathroom with a very large kitchen on the side with the staircase.
  3. I believe he mentioned during his Meet the Lindens interview with Strawberry that the new feature was the attic access through a drop down stair and a finished off attic space as the new feature. The Knotty Pine Ranch home appears to be a single story home; however, it has a really large finished attic.
  4. I'm loving my in theme pool. It's small but so cozy and leaves me lots of room for my chickens, goats, garden, grapevines, and beehive.
  5. I have the textures in my pack. Use the included notecard to get the numbers to tint the wood to match all the shades.
  6. Which makes it about half the size of Sakura if you're counting the number of parcels in a region.
  7. Thanks for the replies. I have the Jian chickens too. I love them but having one that lays an egg would be fun. Don't think I want to get into the MyStory system. I've heard it's expensive and script heavy. But thanks for the info. If you manage to do a kit bash and get something worked out, I'd be curious to know what and how you did it.
  8. Where do you get chickens that lay eggs? I'd love some.
  9. Here's a pic of the new regions that aren't showing in the map. Maybe it will help you find it.
  10. I find that all the lashes that come with the head are on the long side. I've bought lashes by third party creators that are shorter.
  11. I stayed in my original trad for over a year. I've wanted something with more room and more prims with the same flavor of the trads. Ranch does that beautifully. I have a houseboat that I love so much I made an alt premium so I could keep it and get the ranch. So yes, forever in SL is relative. But I really can't see me moving away from this home for a very long time. Plus as old as I am in RL forever isn't all that many years.
  12. Forgive me if this has already been said. I come to this thread on it's ninth page, so catching up would be very time consuming. The first thing that came to mind is that in the physical world when in a large gathering our words are not broadcast to everyone within a large room. We tend to group up and talk to not usually more than 6 to 10 people at time. So the mechanism we have here doesn't seem natural. Even in a group chat, when you get more than 10 people actively posting at the same time, heaven forbit talking at the same time, chat moves too quickly to even keep up with the conversation. So I don't think it's that avatars are anti-social but that avatars are constrained by the mechanism we use to vocalize in a large group.
  13. I've said this before, but I mean it this time. This is my forever home! I've not bothered with the inside yet. It's still packed high with boxes to unpack. But my yard! That tank near the house isn't for livestock. It's my swimming pool. I have a mini fruit orchard on the side of the house. I've got to start some seedlings to finish out the garden. This is my dream farmhouse, but it's modernized with energy and water conservation in mind. I'm just starting to figure out how to build a rainwater collection system. I couldn't be happier with this theme!
  14. I grew up in California. Moved to Texas in my twenties. First time I ever saw a round bale was after moving here. I thought to myself, "Okay everything really is bigger in Texas!" So yep, I only saw square bales in California. Hey, who knows maybe the square bale is modern and the round one old school. lol So, my last comment above made me do a quick research on hay bailing. Appears the round bailers are more modern. But the square bales are easier to store inside barns. So both are still used. So I'm going to have to decide which hay bale to use in my new home.
  15. See them all the time here in Texas.
  16. Foot size has always been an issue for me. I'm a stickler for correct human proportions. In the past, unfortunately, there wasn't much I could do about foot size because of the way creators addressed the problem of making shoes fit everyone. So the zero foot size evolved. Fortunately, with the newer bodies we can actually select our correct shoe size and shoes magically adjust with the slider when we either make our feet smaller or larger. Mind you this feature has not been in affect for all that long. So, for instance, the Maitreya body's feet were made to adjust to sliders in a recent update. It was at that time that we learned the original Maitreya feet were modeled at a slider 25 size. So if you have shoes made prior to the update then you have to set your feet to slider 25 or your feet will either be too large or too small to fit in your shoes. But since that update many, or most, creators are now rigging their shoes for Maitreya to react to the body sliders, so you can decide if you want small feet or large feet. The feet of the Legacy body have always adjusted to the sliders. I'm not sure about other bodies however. As I only have experience with those two bodies. I have an alt that is very short, so she needs to have her feet set to zero size. I'm always careful to demo shoes to be sure they adjust to foot size. She wears a Maitreya body. I've had very little trouble finding shoes for her. You just have to be aware and demo. She has a really nice selection of shoes that all adjust down to an actual zero size rather than the Maitreya default size of 25.
  17. I very recently, like two weeks ago, helped a friend who hadn't been in SL for years and years to update his avatar to mesh from system avie. Believe it or not, one of the hurdles to accomplishing this was not that we weren't both on Firestorm, we were, but it took awhile to realize we were using different skins. The difference between the two made communicating pretty confusing. Eventually we just shared our screens in Discord so we could actually see what we were talking about, so the suggestion that the LL viewer be used with brand new residents to me sounds like a good one. Believe me I never thought I'd say that, but here I am saying it! Get them acclimated first in the LL viewer. Then they can learn about the different third party viewers out there and make an informed decision as to which one offers the features they would find beneficial. Or they might even decide that the LL viewer works perfectly well and not even need to move in that direction.
  18. It's rare that I even attach the HUD. I use BoM for nearly everything so no need to rely on appliers. The new chat commands are extremely helpful. I wish they had chat commands for heel heights. That's about the only time I use the HUD. Fortunately, many of my shoes automatically set the heel height when I wear the shoes. Some don't though and then it's a pain.
  19. Blush and all my other alts, except for Debi, my main, use Maitreya. I've used Maitreya since its release. But I prefer Debi to be rather on the short side with narrow shoulders and small boobs. I've found that the Legacy Perky works best for my image of what Debi should look like. I was really reluctant to switch her from Maitreya Petite to Legacy Perky, because of my relationship to Maitreya and the "heavy mesh" argument. But I have to say I've not noticed any kind of performance hit using the Legacy. Even going to maxed out regions where I've had to wait to get an opening just to get into the region, I've not noticed a difference. For me I don't like the "curvy" look. I have too much of that in RL, not going there when I can be and look like anything I want in SL, so the Reborn just isn't a body I like. I've demo'd it and can't get anything near to what I'm comfortable using in SL. So like others have said it's best to demo all the main bodies for yourself. And while you're at it, I suggest you demo clothing made for those bodies to see which rig you like better. I noticed a rather big difference with Blueberry clothing that's rigged for Legacy and Maitreya. I much prefer the rig Blueberry does for Legacy over Maitreya especially in the butt and shoulder areas. So that is something else to consider. Try not to get in a rush to make a decision just because you want a change. I hope you can enjoy the process.
  20. It's been so long since I've seen it on my dashboard that I can't remember when the last was that I saw it there. I always get to it from the forums page. So not an issue for me.
  21. While I totally agree that mesh panties look much better than BoM. The reason I always choose BoM over mesh is that I know my bits are covered when I land somewhere, plus my BoM undies can't be derendered. And yes, it used to be an issue. I like being in charge of when and who sees my bits!
  22. ditto! One of my favorite perks of going BoM.
  23. Sorry it took me so long to respond to this post. Thanks. I knew about exporting to XML but hadn't ever noticed I could use it to import a shape. Thanks bunches! What a lifesaver!
  24. This is one of all time favorite kitchens. I've used it in so many homes. I always ... always shrink it down and unlink and rearrange things. But it is the most useful kitchen I own and is unbelievably low prim.
  25. I went GoH hopping on a whim the other day, and landed what I think is a really great location. I love the Chalet landscaping but the houses aren't my cup of tea. So when I landed this houseboat in a Chalet themed region I was really happy. At first, I wasn't sure if I liked the square parcel; because, as many have said, they can be a challenge. But once I added an extended deck and pergola, I loved it. The paved beer garden across from the entry to my houseboat works out so well. With this particular houseboat model the windows are situated so I have a lovely view to the "front" of my parcel. It's going to be really hard to give up this spot when the premium plus homes get released. I might have to turn an alt premium again!
