  1. I'm not speculating that what we saw, if only briefly, is what they plan to release. Though I don't know. It's speculation to suggest any of us know what LL is thinking or planning. This is one time I'm trying to be patient and actually wait for the product rather than get into the speculation game. I do know that a dev kit is coming. So making judgements based on the small amount of content we saw, ever so briefly, yesterday doesn't make sense to me. I just have to look back at the Catwa heads and the skins that were released with those heads early on. If I had based my judgement on the included skin and not wait for third party skinners to make skins, I wouldn't have ever bought one of those heads. I'm excited to see what the bodies and heads look like with skins made by other skinners here in SL. I'm also excited to see what clothing, shoes, and accessories will be made for these bodies. I can't imagine that creators won't jump at the chance to sell items to new users for these bodies. Not that I think new residents will stay in these bodies, but this is a perfect way for creators to advertise their creativity and skills to someone just joining SL.
  2. As someone who suffers with arthritic hands, I can attest to enjoying handsfree transportation. Though I'm not sure I'd want to see the pods in Belli. My favorite handsfree transportation involves having a friend at the wheel driving while I enjoy being a backseat driver.
  3. Since, this was not an official launch of the bodies, I'm going to withhold judgement until I see a blog post and an official release. I think if it had really been ready the parts would still be available on the main grid. So I'm anxious to see the released product and not just speculation based on incomplete data. Though it's been interesting to see the speculation. I just know from the years of speculating on what a Linden Home theme is going to be that we quite often don't get that right and quite often are absolutely wrong.
  4. I just purchased them for both myself and Debi. Had no trouble buying them. I really REALLY like them. Thanks for sharing them!
  5. I didn't mean to suggest you use the universals from Lelutka with the ears on the NUX avatars, but simply illustrating what a universal was and that she had already been using one without realizing what it was.
  6. If you use a Lelutka head, then you most likely have been using a universal layer to add the skin texture to your ears. Those are all universal layers. You can create these yourself and add a transparent texture in the texture slot to make the toenails disappear as Patch mentioned above.
  7. I may be the only person in SL to have stopped buying high heels years ago. I have maybe bought a total of 5 pairs of high heels in the past 5 years. I hate ... HATE ankle locks and just don't like how the ankles break when I wear high heels. So I'm constantly buying flats and mids. I have a rather large collection of both. But I've been looking for mids for many years now. I much prefer to go barefooted or wear flats. But I'm sure creators will come up with excellent ways to enable the Senras to wear heels.
  8. I have 17 prims left! And yes, I'm already itching to try decorating a different Ranch model. But I'll enjoy this build out for a few days before carefully collecting all the pieces and dropping them into a rezzer so I can rez out this build whenever I like. Then I'll be trying some of the other beautiful homes that the Ranch theme has to offer.
  9. Here's how my Buffalo Pastures home turned out. To be continued in the next post.
  10. Attachment point limit doesn't really come into play on this because it simply will detach something to add the next thing. And it keeps doing that. Clicking on another outfit to stop the process never worked for me. The first time I tried it, it simply added the new outfit to the queue. The second time I tried to do that it ended with a hard crash where I had to actually turn off the power to my computer to recover. It's really better to just take a break and come back when the process has completed.
  11. Just take comfort in knowing you are not alone. I'd be willing to bet that just about everyone who has been here for any length of time has done this at least once. I know I have more than once!!!!
  12. I chose the Buffalo Pastures home. I consider it to be the large of the small size houses. I'm well on my way to completing the interior furnishings, but still have quite a bit to finish. I did make a wall insert that I placed in the room on the staircase side. Here you can see that wall from the kitchen side. The bathroom is on the other side of that wall. This leaves me with a rather large living room, but I like the space since I often find myself dancing either with friends or just by myself. I plan on putting a media center in the space between the front door and the fireplace. The sofa is facing that corner. I have a lot of finishing to do in this living room. Up the stairs I plan to add a little library nook just to the right of the bedroom door. The bedroom also has a lot of finishing touches to be added but it's well on it's way to completion. I really love the size of this home!
  13. I'm not sure if you think you can only see one example of a home for each of the themes at Bellihub. There are mailbox controllers at each theme parcel where you can rez all the different home styles for that particular theme.
  14. The toilet is named, Toronto-Toilet, by ~BAZAR~. The sinks are from Dust Bunny, named dust bunny & con . lauren bathroom . double vanity.
  15. Now that I'm starting to furnish the inside of my home, I've started rethinking my backyard. LOL .. prims!! No matter how many I have I can always use more. I've moved my "vineyard" to create a separation between the proper backyard and the working side of the yard. I've taken out some of the grass and reduced the size of my fruit trees substantially reducing the LI by a nice amount. All this so I can add all the things to the inside. It seems I always finish off my bathroom first. I added a wall to my Buffalo Pastures home to separate the large room where the stairs are located. Now I have a nicely sized bathroom with a very large kitchen on the side with the staircase.
  16. I believe he mentioned during his Meet the Lindens interview with Strawberry that the new feature was the attic access through a drop down stair and a finished off attic space as the new feature. The Knotty Pine Ranch home appears to be a single story home; however, it has a really large finished attic.
  17. I'm loving my in theme pool. It's small but so cozy and leaves me lots of room for my chickens, goats, garden, grapevines, and beehive.
  18. I have the textures in my pack. Use the included notecard to get the numbers to tint the wood to match all the shades.
  19. Which makes it about half the size of Sakura if you're counting the number of parcels in a region.
  20. Thanks for the replies. I have the Jian chickens too. I love them but having one that lays an egg would be fun. Don't think I want to get into the MyStory system. I've heard it's expensive and script heavy. But thanks for the info. If you manage to do a kit bash and get something worked out, I'd be curious to know what and how you did it.
  21. Where do you get chickens that lay eggs? I'd love some.
  22. Here's a pic of the new regions that aren't showing in the map. Maybe it will help you find it.
  23. I find that all the lashes that come with the head are on the long side. I've bought lashes by third party creators that are shorter.
  24. I stayed in my original trad for over a year. I've wanted something with more room and more prims with the same flavor of the trads. Ranch does that beautifully. I have a houseboat that I love so much I made an alt premium so I could keep it and get the ranch. So yes, forever in SL is relative. But I really can't see me moving away from this home for a very long time. Plus as old as I am in RL forever isn't all that many years.
