    This is the first time they have ever increased the price of premium, I believe. Edit to add : Amazon Prime had a price increase too, it's $119 a year now

    Early? I don't think it has ever changed in my 10+ years I can't think of a single thing that costs the same today as it did 10 years ago.

    The old Linden Homes were built at a time when LL's focus for the revenue stream that keeps the lights on was land use fees. That is no longer the case as they are now shifting to focus more on user fees - Premium Membership. These new homes fit that perfectly.

    Since waterfront land is expensive as a rule, it doesn't surprise me that some may be grabbing houseboats and only using them to rez their boat. In that case, they are using the parcel, in the way they want to use it, which is perfectly alright.

    Such realism! I mean, boats move a little bit with tides etc... OK, so yes the stuff in/on the boat would normally move with the boat, but we can't have everything right? ( Now to figure out an excuse for the houses doing it too)

    I have seen these, a couple of my neighbors are using them or something similar. It's a nice touch. I think on mine though I'd use the coordinates of the mailbox because that will not change, whereas the front doors are not in the same spot for every model of house. Yes, sadly, I am that OCD. I'd have to remake the bloomin' thing 😛

    It used to be that a vehicle could not exceed 31 prims + a seated avatar making 32. It's been a very long time, but I am pretty sure that was it. If you got a a parcel with only 5 prim unused for example, you simply bounced off the parcel because it was too full. The limitation has been either raised a whole lot or removed entirely because many boats etc are well over that amount, and as they pass over a parcel they are using a different stash of prims/LI so the remaining LI on the parcel no longer matters

    I'm pretty sure the way it works is that the object has to rez in world first then it can attach. You can right-click and wear a rezzed object, but you can't wear directly from a rezzed object. Maybe let the bottle breathe a bit so there are not as many bubbles and it will be lower LI? Though I am not sure of where the bubbles would go while it breathes. Maybe they use the extra LI that vehicles use. Just do't let it sit too long. Flat champagne is nasty.

    Somewhere in the in-between of posts and replies I outlined my personal policy. But yes, this all the way. In fact my orb's message actually addresses that, it says If you were invited, Welcome! If you are flying over, Have a nice flight, Otherwise, Sayonara I have better things to do than camp on the Eject button - But you're absolutely right, some people might do that. Frankly I have never been bored enough to do that. Edit to add: I don't set mine to scan 400m anyway, I really do't care about anything that far away.

    The way it works at my house is: If you want to see the inside or walk through my garden, and I am there, IM me. If I am not AFK or *ahem* busy, it's no problem. If you are one of those who does not know how to cam and you are standing with your nose pressed to the window to see inside, I will let the orb deal with it (usually) If you cam in and sit unannounced and uninvited, you will be ejected immediately. If that doesn't get the message across, you will be parcel banned. The orb has a 15 second delay. I do not.

    I have seen nothing that addresses an ejection that is triggered manually. Clicking the popup is no different than using Nearby or right-clicking the person and booting them. The rules only refer to automatic ejection. Manual ejection time limits would be impossible to enforce.

    OK good point lol I didn't think of that because I've never used 0 seconds. I always used a delay because I get a lot of use out of the ability to add someone to my access list with a click.

    In the past, someone could hover over your house all day long as long as they stayed more than 75 meters above the ground. Now they get 15 seconds and the ceiling is ~400 meters.

    I use one of the (old) Connover orbs and yes I get a popup immediately if someone enters the parcel and I have the option to manually eject, ban, or allow. It's actually very handy for adding new people to the list. One click and they are added, no messing with notecards or anything.

    Not true at all. We all had the same chance. Why is it so hard to understand that a new project like this will have limited availability in the early stages?

    Not true at all. Everyone had an equal chance at getting in on a new project at launch. As it's a new project being rolled out in stages, not everyone will have immediate access, but in time there will be enough to go around. *bites tongue really hard and hits Submit Reply instead of saying the rest*
