  1. Those types of business usually rent spaces for people having excess gacha items for sale OR they buy gacha items from people who don't want them and resell them for a bit more than they bought them for. You would need commercial land to start this kind of business that supports enough prims to display the number of boxes of gacha items you plan to sell or enough prims to give each renter enough to display their items..
  2. Sorry that happened but it probably stated in the covenant that you could't have things go over your property line. It is your responsibility to turn on property lines (WORLD>SHOW MORE>PROPERTY LINES) to make sure your stuff does not go over it when you rez it. You didn't and you left it as it was. So you broke the covenant. That's why you were booted and banned. Most covenants state you are not due a refund if you break them and are booted. Granted they may have cut you some slack but they weren't required to. You also don't say how long you were gone. A Landlord must protect the interests of all their tenants.
  3. Go to About Land and the Options tab and see if running scripts is restricted to the owner or group. If not, speak with Live Chat or file a support ticket.
  4. We are only volunteer residents here no Lindens read this. We have no access to your account records. You should contact billing. 5. If you bought the item in world there is nothing you can do except tell people you know and maybe put it in your profile. If you bought it on MP you can leave a poor review. Before you do anything though, what exactly is your complaint? Did you pay for something and didn't get it? If that's the case, contact the creator as most will gladly make it right. Look in their profile to see if there is a preferred method of contact. Send your transaction information with your request as proof of purchase. Lastly be polite and patient. Merchants have RL's too and may be absent due to RL circumstances. Not all of them log in every day either. If you bought it on MP you can file a support ticket to have it redelivered. Did you get something that didn't work? Again contact the creator as most will work with you to fix the problem and if they can't will refund your money.
  6. My friends know that I'm in SL, but none have expressed any interest in joining so I don't push it. Frankly I think many of them are intimidated by it.
  7. It sounds like the hair is part of the skin. If it weren't it would be on a tattoo layer, as Alwin said check your worn tab. You could contact the creator and ask them if they have a bald version of the skin. Alternatively you could make a 'bald' tattoo that you could layer under the tattoo you want to use, if you have any graphic skill or hire someone to make you one.
  8. You should update your address on your account contact information through your dashboard. The SL wiki also recommends that if you believe you meet all requirements for access, but are still unable to enter a Skill Gaming Region, try resubmitting your current billing information and re-logging into Second Life as a first step toward troubleshooting. If it doesn't work, file a support ticket.
  9. Read this information about Jobs in SL. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Guide_to_Jobs_in_Second_Life
  10. Try clicking the HUD and go to EDIT. Zoom out and see if part of it is off screen. If it is, move it so it's all on screen. If that isn't the problem you may have to rotate it to see the entire HUD.
  11. It seems your payment information is not working. If you are trying to pay with something other than Lindens, call billing to see what the problem is. If you are trying to pay with Linden's then file a support ticket. You can do this with MP issues even if you are not a premium member. 12. Sorry there is no way you can prove it. Besides, it is no one's business. If they persist, block them.
  13. What you need to do is file a DMCA notice with Linden Lab. LL will not act on an abuse report claiming violation of IP rights. This link will give you all the information on DMCA: http://secondlife.com/corporate/dmca.php You can also file DMCA notices with other web sites too. You will need to ask the website host how to do that and where to file the notice.
  14. You can't contact support via E-mail. You can only file a support ticket. You can file mulitple support tickets if you need more room, just be sure that you reference the other tickets. Linden Lab does not control anything outside of SL and the SL website. So if you are trying to report things on another web site or threatening emails, there is nothing they can do about it. You must report those violations to the host of the web site or email service or go to the RL authorities such as your local police, depending on the situation.
  15. Read the instructions that came with the Huddles it tells you how to do it. You have to put additional scripts in the Huddles.
  16. If your land is on a private estate and you are not the estate owner, you may not be able to subdived your property. Read the covenant and/or check with your estate owner to see if it is allowed.
  17. We are only residents here just like you. No Lindens come here. Have your daughter check her transaction history to make sure it is shown there and it went to the right person. Check your own transcation history to be sure you didn't get it. Sometimes the amounts don't show correctly in your viewer, but your transaction record is always correct. If it indeed shows that your daughter sent it to you and you don't see a record of it in the transaction history, you daughter should call billing and have them track the problem down. All the objects and textures within your sight and draw distance have to download onto your computer. If you frequent a particular place it will probably load faster since the textures etc are already in your cache. What you are experiencing is caused by how fast your computer can take downloads and display them and your internet connection. You can improve performance by lowering your draw distance, and/or your graphic settings in Preferences. If you use a wifi connection, change it to an ethernet cable 2/why dosn't invisible mode work properly and why does someone get a personal note in their trashcan telling them who deleted them? if I want rid of someone that is a hassle I don't care to have them dig through the trash to find me and ask why I removed them, why does it work this way? If avatars were allowed to be invisible and show completely off line then griefers could have a field day. As far as the notification that you removed someone from your friends list, a lot of people like to know when this happens. If you remove someone you are under no obligation to answer questions about why. Just ignore any IM's you get from them. If they are really persistent, block them so you don't even get their messages. 3/slightly related to above this is more of a suggestion but I can't beleve linden have not done this already. several people I met said they are onto their second accounts ... why not $5 ~ $10 USD keep all your stuff reset your account age / friends list and get a new resident name, get the impression so many peope would use this, why dosn't this exist? Because LL made the decision from the start of SL to tie your inventory and everything about your account to your user name instead of a numeric ID. To change to another name would involve a lot of work, changing all your records to the new name. It isn't as simple as you think and the fee you suggest would not even begin to cover the work that needs doing. This is why there are Display Names that allow you to pick any name you like. Secondly, when you buy something from a merchant you are not buying the actual item, you are only buying the license to use it with your name specific account at the time you bought it, not another name or account. It is the only way merchants have of knowing you have a legal copy and didn't rip it off.
  19. steph Arnott wrote: As it does not show the whole it can mean what ever you want it to, but as info it was in reference to SL and others expanded it ti include all of USA, as this an SL forum it was taken far beyond the limits if the forum. You are back pedalling now. Your original comments did not qualify that you were only to Americans in SLreferring. Even if that was your intention, you have probably only met a very small percentage of all Americans in SL, yet you tar all with the same brush.
  20. bebejee wrote: Not interested in that, dont follow any either. I guess it will have to be strated as a separate outside of SL official forums. Blogs are a good way to find things you like on the MP and inworld. You may not follow them but a lot of people do. You can even find feeds that combine the posts of a lot of blogs into one.
  21. sonarctica Teromaximus wrote: If i import an avatar from second life, make a shirt or a dress, will that shirt then fit all the avatars in second life no matter the size of other's avatars? No. There are two ways of sizing and rigging clothes for the SL avatar. One is to use the Standard Sizes models, which which are available on the Marketplace. The other way is to use Fit Mesh. Fit Mesh doesn't fit everyone exactly right, so some designers to a couple sizes in it. Fit mesh is also used to make mesh clothes fit mesh bodies. You may want to obtain any developer kits for mesh bodies available from each mesh body creator. See these Wiki articles: http://wiki.secondlife.com/w/index.php?title=Special%3ASearch&search=rigging&go=Go And since designer 5 uses dynamic clothes with physics, how can i make the shirt or dress stick the way i want for second life? You have to rig mesh clothes to the avatar, see the links above. And regarding exporting the clothes to second life, do i need blender? Or/and what other programs do i need to successfully get the clothes to second life? Your file needs to be collada (*.dae). You may need Blender to covert your files to that format if your software does not support it. I am very new to this clothing design thing as i just started and tried to make a simple top and pants yesterday, so all imputs would be appreciated. The SL Wiki is your friend. It contains information you need to create mesh clothes and links to other information and tutorials etc. You can also Google it and find tutorials Lastly, if you have specific questions you can post them in the MESH forum here for help.
  22. The redelivery system on MP is not meant to be used as a product updater. You can buy update servers for that. Some vendor systems can track MP orders, if you set them up to do so, and send updated products out.
  23. If you TP to the sim and land on the ground you won't see people up in the air in a skybox or platform.
  24. If you have the money you can commission a custom mesh head. This will be expensive but it is doable by a talented 3D artist. If you want to go this route, put a post in the Inworld Employment section fo these forums. You will probably also need to commission a custom skin for the head, unless the mesher makes skins too or you can find skin appliers that will work for you.
  25. Linden Lab shut down all magic boxes back in August. They no longer work, which is why there is no sync button. You can however delist the items. If you just want them to disappear, you will need to file a support ticket.
