  1. I did not see your IM - you can IM me or my alt (Alyona Chernov) and I'll drop you my "2006 Awesome Toys" folder. More guns and other fun stuff (a harmless "FaceLight 4400 Turbo" for example that you can give away to anyone using an annoying facelight and explain how this one is better LOL) All the guns in there do pretty good as "manual security" as well. Especially the "Cage-Orbiter" gun. And I don't think it's "griefing" if you use it on an intruder in your home. Bahahaha But never use it against a Linden because they always have eminent domain!
  2. Remember that any time you are rude to others that it is their issue, not yours as rudeness is a perception and not a fact. I never apologize for anything someone may feel is rudeness from me and I will never change my ways unless I am shown that I am tangibly-wrong in something. Though the best course of action is to just let "them" have the last word in anything, then the tit-for-tat will fizzle away.
  3. Wild Rose (movie: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5117428/)
  4. An old movie I remember called National Lampoon Christmas or something, the family name is Griswold and even "The Grinch" movie doesn't come close to what they did with Christmas lights on the house! Netflix FTW! (I like watching the ancient movies my parents grew up with LOL)
  5. I knew the moment I saw this thread created that it would be a race to the bottom of bad-attitude pit. Comments like yours are the ballast that keeps it at least twinkling in the light of positivity at all. When I was growing up my parents make a big point of teaching me patience. Apparently that is a special ability or something (and I mean all over the place, not just this subject, or even within only SL, but RL also). ~Shakes her head with a whispered tsk tsk~
  6. Butttt... *remove* them from your list and see what happens. Even if there have been zero contact for a month or two. LOL
  7. It's an in-world device, so you'll have to ask me in-world
  8. Yes, yes to all of it. I don't generally use them myself, though your idea to create one is something I may take up as a brain exercise (amateur scripter here) and then i'll sell it for free on MP
  9. Sighs. You did not even try to comprehend what I wrote? Because it's precisely this; you have literally described what it does. Either way, as I have always said to everyone: you have to choose your priorities because you usually cannot have your cake and eat it, too. So go ahead, choose to have the cake. I'm enjoying the taste.
  10. Precisely! Want a one? It's full perms.
  11. YES! Too late, that happened like six months ago on an alt, then started getting their spam. Remember I said all but one creator removed me from their list? Three guesses on which is the one and the first two guesses don't count. LOL The "Block" option can be a Godsend sometimes.
  12. I actually use this - it works great, just as advertised: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Email2IM-IM-via-Email-when-Offline/1928237
  13. Your policy is the same as mine. I leave my places open, I even have a generous auto-return (usually 30 or 60 minutes) and my building or house are open to all; I don't even bother to turn on the "hide avatars" features (though I do turn on the restricting sounds and voice and chat to parcel). I do this because you cannot plan the future on events of the past; being griefed as you describe is such a rare occasion that it doesn't even matter and, so, kudos to you for handling it the way you did. There is just too much paranoia in SL the way I see it.
  14. Catznip viewer actually allows this. You can setup "received items folders" and any time you receive inventory from any source, you can choose where that inventory goes (just select the folder where you want it) and in the case of unpacking from another object, the default option is into the same folder as the object you're unpacking. Seriously, people should look at the features of Catznip that are not in any other viewer (though this feature should be in all, including and especially the LL viewer. it's no-brainer "Duh" feature.) To clarify: that received folder can be ANY folder in your inventory, including system folders (except the trash folder LOL)
  15. Those are all fine, it's the avatar-deforming that is a pain in the derriere. Edit to add: Yes, I still have an orbit-deformer gun from 2006 that will instantaneously pop you to 50,000 meters into the sky And it still works, tested recently on my alt. So be nice to me, people, or else... Bahahahaha
  16. Yes, and I have the section of TOS that describes spamming others copied into a notecard and when I get those messages I usually IM the creator and let them know the offense and to remove me from their list - all but one has, the remaining one I simply muted. Ugh... what some people will do in underhanded ways to make an extra penny in SL. @Rhonda Huntress - the reason I hate auto-unpackers is because it just dumps the contents into the top-level of my inventory and many creators use funky folder names; I want the control to put things where I want them to be. The reason I never attach (box or HUD) is because I hate the way they animate me with cheap, garbage animations (meaning that when the box/HUD is detached the animation is now *stuck* and I have to manually disable it). Yes, I know - it asks permission first and I always say no. But sometimes they don't ask. I speak only for myself, of course.
  17. Availability has nothing to do with it. Though if you both go for weeks without so much as a "Hi, watcha doin'" then why are you even bothering?
  18. The simplest answer would be to make your advert board look like it sits on a buoy and therefore, sits on the surface of the water. Not only would that make it "TOS legal", but more attractive also (and people may even actually pay attention to it).
  19. I saw you there. Though I was on my sailboard and so a little underdressed to pop aboard... or you all were overdressed for being in the middle of the sea!
  20. That has to be the new lowest-of-the-low a creator can stoop to in order to twist your arm into throwing money at them, wow. If something like that if this is not described in pre-sales information you may have a complaint for Linden Lab about the product being different from what is advertised (I don't know, though you do.) Sounds like a "ceaveat" review to me. Along the purchased-items line, among my pet peeves are all those stupid scripts and animations included that have *nothing* to do with the product. No, I refuse to "add" your box as an attachment, no I do not want you to unpack it for me; no I dod not want to join your group, no I do NOT WANT YOU TO ANIMATE ME. Now I hate you for making me select and delete all this irrelevant garbage you included in your box. To those of you who create a simple prim box that is set to just "Open" on click using the system as it is designed? Kudos to you.
  21. "Cheap" is an antonym of "quality". If you mean "inexpensive" then i concur. Though in general, any cheap PC trying to run Second Life will bring a horrifically terrible experience. I say to all: You really do get what you pay for. Depending on how you intend to use your system overall, you need to decide what portion of that use will be second Life, the greater the portion of use, the more you need to look at *quality* and matching price. Everyone has different priorities, be sure to take whatever yours are into account when shopping for any discretionary product.
  22. I have to say I *LIKE* the LL security system, from the perspective of someone being "ejected"... I still had a landmark in my shortcut bar to my old LL Home that I abandoned a week or so ago and went to delete it, but accidentally clicked on it - it took me to the old home (still on the outside of the house, mind you) and then I got distracted. When I looked back I was now standing on the sidewalk in front of the home. Not dramatic menus or bells or whistles, just a polite message in chat and then I was gently "pushed" out of parcel bounds. It was actually the most pleasant ejection I've had in 12 years. SO - since I still have one LL home, my question is if I snag it into inventory and keep it, whether that LL Security system will work outside of Bellisseria continent on my mainland parcel? LOL Because that is how a security system should work.
  23. I just tried the search term "furnished" at Market Place (without quotes, of course) and was amazed at how many appeared. Then I search "furnished AND mesh" and was still amazed at how many came up. It just surprises me when people create threads like this one before actually trying the most common methods of seeking what one is looking for. LOL
