  1. Just as with these fast food places, there's a lot of variety in quality depending on where it is and who's running it. As for the service: Far better from a vending machine or any sit-down restaurants. As for Wendy's: I have to concur - though their service is just as abysmal as the others, they have a good variety of menu and the best Twitter account to follow: One thing I like about Wendy's as a corporation: They believe in their product and they will not pull punches! I have to agree with them: McDonalds is disgusting everywhere I've ever been to. My employer supplied McDonalds for a working lunch once, I complained to Labor and Industries about "hostile work environment".

  3. LOL Yes, I was going to also mention that traffic moves very slowly. I think it only updates once every day or day-and-a-half or so. But I forgot to include that part. Basically, the traffic statistic moves like molasses rolling uphill.
  4. Why the same type car. I get it, you're thinking of a race track type event. Here's what would be really interesting to me: Use any type vehicle you want. Must wear a timer hud. Must cross specific waypoints, in order from the start point of the race to the finish line. If you miss a waypoint, you must go back to get it, OR perhaps receive a time-penalty (like a full 5 minutes added to your time or something). That the race can be started at any time on any day (within a range of days). But that it must be completed in one run, logging out does not stop the timer. Perhaps the timer would recognize an offline situation and pauses, but after five minutes it resumes automatically, whether the person relogs or not - this way accidental log-offs would be covered as most can get back within five minutes. Perhaps the maximum time would be three times the time it takes for the longest route. So if the course takes a full hour to complete, then the timer runs out at three hours. As a protection method: if the timer runs out and the finish line has not been crossed, then that person can start over from the start line and a new timer reset. But if they have crossed the finish line then their time is locked-in and cannot change, even if they rerun the course (just for fun, etc.). Perhaps the race could run for seven days, this gives people the opportunity to adjust their in-world time to begin the race and be able to finish it. Then at the end of the week, a leaderboard of times is presented. THIS would be an amazingly fun event. I imagine there already are enough gadgets and tools in SL where something like this could be set-up. But having such an encompassing system that does these things as a bundle would be the way to go. Just some feedback on the idea. In other words, it would be more of a rally than a race.
  5. With all the gestures and chat going on, I doubt many would notice the actual quality of the audio in terms of dynamic range. Also, just as 90% of "professional SL photographers" aren't and don't come close, the same is true with "professional DJ" in SL. among other creative genres.
  6. You definitely want to sell system-layer versions because Bakes on Mesh is starting to become a thing. As for appliers, get this: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Omega-System-Dev-Kit/6070969 It's very easy to use, basically you right-click the texture in inventory, choose "Copy UUID" then edit the modifiable script in the applier, and past the UUID for that texture where it tells you to do so. That's it. Then you set the script and applier prim to no-modify and no-copy. Certainly you'll want to test it, so make a copy of your body and head to test to with. Then bundle the system-layer skin along with the Omega Applier and sell it. Be sure to add these logos to your advertising image and be sure to say "BOM READY" on there, too! And for the record: that is a beautiful skin! I know how much work it is as I've just recently dome my own as well.
  7. Even when I used Firestorm, I never used that viewer AO because there is a *noticeable* lag between action and animation. Most obvious when turning the avatar, but also when going from stop-to-motion, the avatar slides on the ground for a second or two (one way I can guess that someone is using FS LOL). I've never had that issue with an AO HUD. To me, Firestorm is a pig-in-a-poke: bloated with a lot of features that bog the thing down and give it a hefty footprint. I'd use the LL Official viewer if it had RLV so I ca use my CTS Wardrobe tool, but I digress. Whether this Firestorm feature-creep bloat affects performance or not is something I don't know. But that Firestorm viewer AO does not perform as well as a HUD. So, just saying that if you ever lost your mind and added one, this is one user who'd just shake her head is disappointment and chalk it up to another useless feature.
  8. This thread cracks me up and I shake my head sloooowly. What cracks me up is that these fast-food-that-isn't-very-fast-at-all places have been years in training the public to spend a lot of money, for food that is only mediocre at best, and accepting horrific service in the process. I have gotten better, faster service with equal-quality food from vending machines. Seriously, not kidding. In the old days the cashier takes your order, then fills your tray with your order while you gather the money to pay for it. Once your tray is ready they take your money and you walk away with your tray. Nowadays, they take your money and shoo you away quickly so they can grab the next dollar, without any waiting area (or even signage that explains this process) and then you stand around like a baffooon waiting for your meal. And you people accept that day after day! Hahahaha!
  9. Traffic is not calculated based on the simple presence of agents, but rather that those agents are active (moving about and doing things) and agents coming and going in and out. Just parking an avatar there and letting it sit around will not benefit traffic statistics.
  10. When searching for Place in any viewer, whether it uses the legacy in-browser window or the web-interface, there is s drop-down menu the defaults to "Relevant" - you can change that to "Traffic-High" for "Traffic-Low" (Some may call it "Ascending" or "Descending" depending on which viewer you use.) I also recommend the Destinations Web Guide. And for the record: if it's not a sex-carnival, changes are it will be empty or have very few people there and those are usually AFK_Camping to otherwise not interested in social activity. https://secondlife.com/destinations
  11. I think "do NOT re-enter..." is what is meant.
  12. There is a learning curve, not only with its options., but also the lack of them. It does fall directly in-line with all LL viewer options in terms of required features, plus some more useful things like key-mapping, etc. As some are die-hard fans for Firestorm Features, I am a die-hard fan of Catznip features (specifically: the inventory-management features). I like the User Interface of BD a lot. Though it does take some getting used to it and also getting used to doing things the "old way" with lack of fancy-shmancy features. Though I am the type of person who will spend twice as much for half as many feature for greater benefit (quality) - I'm willing to take the time, suffer any frustration to get past the learning curve because, for me, the quality is superior enough that it's worth it; I don't spend a lot of my time doing snapshotting and setting things up for that, but rather I want this look all the time. LOL Certainly, it's not for everyone and that's fine. The truest benefit of all is choice that we each can make for ourselves. Also, what we have been calling "softer colors" is the dynamic range of color, the GAMUT: which means finer detail in the transition in the luminance of things, rather than the harsher "computer look" common in all the other viewers. For anyone curious what Gamut is: https://epxx.co/artigos/gamut_en.html
  13. Yes, yes! Welcome to my world! Hahaha!
  14. I agree. Though more than this is that the "quality of image" applies to the entire Second Life experience, 100% of the time, not just when playing with picture-taking.
  15. I agree. And it doesn't;t even have to be a collar or choker, the right kind of any neck decoration does the job. Though I've since manged to eliminate my neck seam, I still wear this just for the style of it: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/KC-CAILY-CHOKER-MAITREYA-BELLEZA-SLINK-SL-AVATAR/12856163 I have something similar for my Legacy on my alt, this one I wear on my Belleza - but just wanted to show a style example here.
  16. Yes. And I think it's a compliment to BD's visual quality that we can actually see it in images created with it. SL feels fresh and new again, as if the Linden Lab has updated all the graphics systems of the entire grid, even on my cheap-o janky $100 monitor display!
  17. OMG yes! LOL I prefer Hunts Katsup rather than the Heinze - the Hunts is less too sweet. I suspect Heinze is targeting little kids with their recipe. As for ke-tsiup (there is tomato version also) - think of it as Ketchup, but less sweet and more "tangy". Ke-tsiup is beer to ketchup's cocacola LOL
  18. That would be ,this.. which is on the table, breakfast lunch and supper.. hehehehe Pfft. Nothing like the original! Bahaha!
  19. I understand. I presume it's my card (it's not as fancy-shmancy as some people have) https://jmp.sh/UOg5GkV But it's okay, I'm totally loving the look I get in BD over the others. I'll be fine. And we don't want to annoy those who will forever be annoyed because these comments don't have pictures of avatars. I agree: it's their problem, but still. LOL Hopefully our technospeak will be helpful to those who appreciated it and not so snooty about thread titles. ~snorts~
  20. We have different control panels LOL https://jmp.sh/Duwo1Eu
  21. I'm familiar with meta Chat, that's not it, it was a lot better-looking and more graceful in UI and it did a lot more. It's not even in my previous purchases any longer.Either way, I'll wait for the LL answer and see what that's like.
  22. Like all the wheels on most mesh vehicles at 20 Mters away? Bahaha! I would add to this: The gigantic Titanic-sizes ships-they-call-yachts crammed into the bathtub called Sirens Isle that are such bad LOD that they are invisible until you get within 30 meters and have to to an emergency reverse in your 8-foot long powerboat.
