  1. The Arthur skin at Genus (lower left) looks like it could work with some added wrinkles from Izzie's.
  2. Peeve: a favorite children's book I can't find a mention of anymore. The Great Escape? (A story about alligators living in the sewers of New York)
  3. What is Christmas-related content? A crèche scene is obviously Christian. Santa Claus and elves aren't in the Bible and may have come from Germanic and Scandinavian mythology. Decorating with evergreen foliage is a pre-Christian tradition. Candy canes are supposed to represent a shepard's crook, but anyone can eat them. Snow, wrapped gifts and animals are non-denomenational. Second Life has users from all over the world, of all different beliefs, celebrating a myriad of winter holidays.
  4. For fanasty-historical styles: No.Match has some nice hairstyles, including a gift Rococo white updo at Shop & Hop. Junbug has nice gowns, mostly in classic Maitreya Lara & probably Legacy sizes. I'm not sure if you want fantasy skin tones, but I like the ones at Nuve and Moth and Moon. Fallen Gods doesn't do EvoX from what I've seen, but if you can switch between the SLUV and the EvoX map, they have tons of fantasy skins and tattoo layers. Valour has fantasy tones too, and others are making matching head skins for theirs, but personally I'm not fond of their fantasy tones. They seem a little flat to me. If you like crazy hairstyles and colors, Escalated has fun ones, but they are only on Marketplace now and the texture on their hair is not fine or realistic. What's fun with their hair is that the color HUDs can be used interchangeably on all their hair styles and for either streaks or different colors on each side of the head. Akeruka, Lelutka and Genus all have at least one fantasy head with horns or other non-human appearance, but BeSpoke specializes in non-human heads.
  5. Akeruka is free join right now, so join their group as well as Lelutka's to see when the group gift and free EvoX heads come out. Akeruka's group gift heads are usually $L 1, in June and December. Lelutka's are free, but only available for a couple of weeks. I'm not a fan of Legacy, but I agree with Demoing Maitreya, Reborn, and Legacy. These are the 3 most popular bodies, so there will be plenty of skins and clothes for them. The Erika body looks good too, but it's harder to find clothes for it. There are so many gifts out now, so it's a great time to check your favorite stores and the Fabulously Free and Seraphim websites for freebies. When the 12 Days of Christmas event starts, there will be free skins as well as the gift heads from Lelutka. Most skins now need a matching body (skin layer) and head skin (tattoo layer). Ear skin tones for EvoX skins come on a Universal Tattoo layer included with the head skin or in free packs at some skin stores.
  6. This dress at Poison Rouge is not LaraX, but with alphas it works. At $L 299, it can be bought with their Shop & Hop store credit and the ruffle on the skirt has a cute sway when you walk. Glitz is having no group needed Advent gifts. Some items say they fit LaraX. Previous days items are available for $L 25.
  7. Japanese toilets are not "squat" toilets. They are often high-tech heated-seat, with the bidet function built in.
  8. I'm glad they're showing some of the model homes with furniture. * I haven't been to see them yet, so I only know from the pictures posted.
  9. Done. Thank you, Santa Patch and all the Mole elves and Lindens who worked on this project.
  10. There is no need to be rude and doing so serves no useful purpose. Creators generally respond better to polite requests and comments. Salt & Pepper makes good quality clothing and has an amazing group Advent board. When they stopped making Freya size clothing, I didn't complain and quit the group in a huff. I understand that if this size is not selling, then it's not cost-effective to keep making clothing for it. The same will soon be true for classic Maitreya Lara. In the meantime, there are still plenty of outfits in the store for Freya and classic Maitreya Lara. My girls all have LaraX, and I'm slowly building up LaraX sizes for them. Persephone and Alycia will continue to shop at S&P. Tasha doesn't wear much in the styles there, and there isn't much men's clothing for Evan, but that doesn't mean the clothing and other items there are useless. If nothing else, there are water interactive clothing and water guns.
  11. I think it's also a problem between American English and British English, confusing the meaning of Billions and Trillions. Psuedopeeve: Us darn Yankies getting our language and slang all over the place. 😁
  12. @Patch Linden Dear Santa Patch, Thank you for overseeing our dear Moles (much better than elves) in their work to create and expand our virtual world. Thank you for your patience and good humor toward us residents. Thank you for new Linden Homes that we can obsess over when we're not tiring out our virtual feet by walking through miles of Shop and Hop mall, Christmas Expo and inworld stores that are filled with Advent and Christmas gifts. Most of my Christmas wishes are clearly on their way to being fulfilled - a new Linden Home subcontinent, more Victorian homes, a northern coast route between Sansara and the Blake Sea, - but I still have one more. I would love to see updated Senra Blake and Jamie avatars that people won't complain about so much. Since you have such good humor and fine fashion sense, I'd also like to see you model a LaraX mesh body in a cute Christmas outfit. Thanks so much, and may your Holiday season be awesome in both worlds.
  13. @Eowyn Southmoor, @Polenth Yue, @SarahKB7 Koskinen We may not be able to see much, but we can see the names of the regions on the map now.
  14. I just saw at Salt & Pepper that they have this cute Cinderella outfit at FaMeshed.
  15. You can either pick a 1024 m parcel Linden Home, buy a 1024 m parcel on mainland, or pick a 512 m parcel Linden Home and buy a 512 m parcel on mainland. Having two small, 512 m parcels isn't very useful for most people though. Having a Linden Home gives you the most land impact for furnishings and landscaping, because the house itself doesn't count against your land impact. Buying land, on the other hand, gives you the ability to terraform your land, put up whatever kind of building you want, and do pretty much whatever you want with your land. For instance, you might want to use your 1024 m parcel for a store or an adult club, neither of which you can do with a Linden Home. You can also restrict your land so nobody else can enter it without your permission with a mainland parcel, while in Bellisseria you have to allow at least 15 seconds for people to move through your parcel before automatically ejecting them. (You can manually eject anyone at any time.) If you decide to buy mainland, an easy way to get about 10% more tier and land impact is to create a group with an alt, then buy the land for your group instead of buying it as an individual. If you can normally have 1024 m of land, you can then buy a bit more, though because land is sold in 16 square meter units, it's actually a little less than 10 % more. I've had both mainland and Linden Homes. For newbies or oldbies who want an easy, low-cost alternative to owning mainland, I recommend getting a Linden Home. If, on the other hand, you might want to buy more than 1024 m and develop it in an interesting way, then buying mainland might be the better choice. There is no discount on the land you buy, except that you might be able to buy additional abandoned land at $L/1 m in the same region.
  16. You can get the Atenea body for free, but then you should buy the BOM HUD for it for $L 250. Even if you spend $L 250, the Atenea body will save you time and money vs. the Legacy free body, the Erika group gift body, or any other free body, because Atenea can wear all the free Maitreya Lara mesh clothes that are available. With the BOM applier HUD, you can also wear free skins, tattoos, and BOM clothing layers such as stockings, underwear or tank tops under your mesh clothing.
  17. As I said, people have different motivations for their kinks. The men and women at that club were there because they wanted to be. The women could either leave or log out if they didn't want to be treated like sex objects. That's not my kink, so I wouldn't be there. I'm consistently in wonderment at why so many women want to be treated like slaves or chattel in their roleplay, but it is very much a common kink.
  18. People's motivations for various behavior can vary. The behavior of people at various kink clubs can also vary. There are also those who enjoy doing something they're not supposed to do, so not at a kink club or maybe even not in an Adult sim. I used to pop into one CMNF club because the men acted respectful of the women there. The women were not required to be nude, but could be if they wished. The women were not "passed around". People mostly just chatted and danced. I've also frequented a particular CFNM club were the people are respectful of each other. The men there are required to be nude and are not supposed to IM the women without asking permission in local chat first. Whether I want my avatar to be nude or not depends on my mood. If I just bought a new mesh body and want to show it off. I might want to be nude, but might not be interested in sex. Other times I might want to look at some attractive nude males, without being hounded by them, but instead have them act polite and submissive toward me.
  19. If I had plenty of money to blow, Tasha Frostypaws would be a cute name for my wolf.
  20. There are 4 male heads and at least 8 male head skins at Genus. Here are 6 of the skins. I'm considering the lower right one for my guy alt because I want a Native American look for him.
