  1. I've used this body for one of my alts. It fits nearly all Maitreya Lara mesh clothing, old SLink shoes, and Maitreya high heels. Your friend needs to buy the BOM applier HUD for $L 250 to use system layer skins, tattoo layers, and clothing layers. It works best with skins made for Maitreya Lara. Someone on this forum tried wearing both the LucyBody Atenea and the Maitreya Lara body at the same time, and said the Atenea body looks like it's slightly smaller than the Lara body. This lets it fit under Maitreya mesh clothing, but always demo mesh before buying to be sure. The HUD for LucyBody is different than the Maitreya HUD. The body has a higher complexity than Maitreya and Autohide does not work on it with Maitreya clothing. The alpha cuts are a little different than on Maitreya Lara, but they still work fine for most Maitreya mesh clothing. Despite it's limitations, I think it's an excellent body for the price. It's kind of like a usable demo for Maitreya Lara, because if one likes this body, they'll probably like Maitreya Lara even more.
  2. Are you asking about mesh bodies? What kind of body is he using now? There are fewer options for male mesh bodies than there are for female ones. The most commonly used male mesh bodies are somewhat expensive, but the DNA male mesh bodies are only a few lindens. Does your friend want to spend money on a popular body or get one almost free to see if he likes it or not? Here are my suggestions. 1. DNA bodies are only a few $L for a body with a head and a selection of skins. These do not use a HUD, but are Bakes On Mesh compatible. This means they can wear system layer clothing and need to use alpha layers to wear mesh clothing. 2. Belleza Jake is the least expensive of the more popular male mesh bodies (about $L 1500) and does not include a mesh head. It uses a a fairly simple HUD and is BOM compatible. 3. Signature Gianni is the mid-priced of the more popular male mesh bodies and does not include a mesh head. It uses a fairly simple HUD and is BOM compatible. 4. Legacy Male is the most expensive of the more popular male mesh bodies and does not include a mesh head. It uses a HUD and is BOM compatible. Your friend should Demo all of these and any other mesh bodies he may be interested in before deciding which one to buy. He will always be able to find mesh clothing for sale for Belleza Jake, Signature Gianni or Legacy Male, but with other male mesh bodies it may be harder to find mesh clothing to fit them.
  3. I like laughing at Elon Musk's failures too, but this post isn't really funny. How about we make fun of advertisers dropping ads from X because of him supporting antisemitic posts instead?
  4. The Moles are making more homes now. What style do you like? The Victorians near their community region? Tree houses in Fantasseria? Stilt homes on water near the BelliDemo island?
  5. @Mini Mole Thank you, Thank you! This is a wonderful idea. I also like having the Sandbox at the Welcome Hub. I know there are other older Premium sandboxes, but I enjoy having a sandbox that's closer to my home.
  6. The waterfall at Port Harbor Stilt Home parcels at Man Overboard
  7. I went to my credit union/bank to resolve a fee and they refunded me. They also gave me an insulated shopping bag, a travel cup, and a cookie. (There was popcorn & other little gifties there too, since they were having an open house.) 😀
  8. This is not a support page, but a community forum. You need to put in a support ticket to contact support.
  9. Moles have been working on the Victorian / Log Home North coast! Abnor's trolly is on the track, and it looks like they're planning to put in a waterfall under the track at Port Haven. Maybe this will be part of a Thanksgiving surprise?
  10. You can take your money out by using the Sell Lindens function on the website. If you really want to give it away though, Ii could really use to pay for my own account. 🙂
  11. The hands and feet are not supposed to be changing. The breast slider is supposed to be more responsive, so encreasing bust size will likely make them show through older tops. The butt will be rigged to the butt bone and be responsive to physics, so if you have physics enabled, it may show through older pants and skirts.
  12. My 3 female avatars all have Lara 5.3 already, and will get the update automatically. As Persephone, I'm eager to try the new Lara X to see how I can shape it, but I will likely still use Belleza Freya as my primary body. Alycia and Tasha - who both use Lara 5.3 now - will gradually collect Lara X clothing, but continue to use Lara 5.3 as long as most of their clothing fits the older body better.
  13. My favorite $L 1 train on Marketplace. It's modifiable, so you can remove cars to lower the Land Impact and add passenger seats if you wish. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Infinity-Freight-Quarry-Train-v11-1L-Gift/19097142

  15. Yes. It would be cool to see traditional tribal styles in SL. In RL, not all bellydance is cabaret style. I found some Traditional Middle Eastern clothes on MP by searching on "Traditional", but most of it is pre-mesh. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/LK-Traditional-Top-Fatpack/19921163
  16. We're peeving about SL fashion and sales trends, so we're on topic. You know perfectly well that bikinis and even topless pictures (as long as nips are covered on obviously female avatars) are permitted in the non-adult sections of the forums. 🙄
  17. This cleavage cut looks fine, imo. The problem with that other top isn't the amount of skin showing, but the bad cut and draping. Also, the head on the model is too small for her body.
  18. Try your old system skirts on a mesh body. My experience is that they don't fit well. Some flexi skirts might work. I use a few shrinkable flexi skirts with the Jinx Petit avatar. To the OP, System layers are how I make clothing more modest, especially tank tops or camisoles and leggings or tights.
  19. Some people may have more difficulty in "reading the room". Others just don't care. Some enjoy creating conflict. Let's assume the first case here. 😉 Internet forums are not as common as they once were, but they're kind of like a local bar or collage coffee house. When entering a new one, it's a good idea to watch and listen to the other patrons, before adding your own voice to the discussions. There may be stated rules and unstated expectations. Unstated expectations will be more difficult to understand and navigate than stated rules. Luckily, this thread is primarily about stated rules. 1. Cross-posting is not against the rules. (But many people find it annoying) 2. Adult content is to be kept to the Adult subforum. Adult content includes representations of genitalia, explicit discussions about sex, and discussions of sexual kinks. (When linking to Adult content from a Non-Adult thread, at minimum post a NSFW warning.) 3. It's not a rule, but irritating many people on the forum (or in a local bar) is usually not a good way to make friends.
  20. I don't think any reasonable person would think that you and Cinnamon were the same person. Your posting styles, as well as your photography styles, are very different.
  21. Yes. I like seeing those kinds of pictures too. Not only do they show different angles, they often show different lighting and environment settings.
