The holiday weeks were crazy enough that I don't remember what book I was reading a few weeks ago. I can tell you that it is some sort of escapism paranormal book, likely with vampires, witches, werewolves, etc.. When I read -- other than checking various news sources for current event info - it is completely for escape. I want to leave this world and enter a world of make believe -- sort of like my SL. If not some sort of paranormal stuff, then it would be some other sort of fantasy or mysteries. Those are pretty much the only thing that I read for fun.

Has anyone seen @Skell Dagger lately? Has he just decided to take a forum break? I don't think I've seen a forum post from him in over a month. ETA: For any that might be interested - Skell touched base with me inworld. Some stuff was getting bad here in the forums and so he needed to leave - at least for a while, maybe longer.

Even for the creators that are now including alpha layers in the packages, folks like me that paid little attention to the BOM specifics at first, simply deleted those alphas along with the objects for other bodies. I have an alpha HUD so, until I did lots and lots and lots of reading on BOM, I didn't realize that I might need those alphas down the road. It looks like I may be spending a lot of time in the future getting redeliveries of things in order to see if an alpha layer is there.

Today's pet peeve would be people that create posts that do not use any punctuation at all, such that we end up with many lines of writing that take too much scrutiny to figure out where the actual sentences are. While my posts do sometimes veer from full proper writing, I do at least try to put some sort of sentence or phrase breaks in my ramblings.

They should add a category for something like "Linden Home Covenant Violation". That would make it so much easier and then we can just explain in the comments what we think the problem is.

You don't have to allow all due to that "in-theme" covenant statement, but defining what is "in theme" is subjective and that is where the difficulty comes in.

Question for those that have sent ARs on 'out of theme content' -- what category do you pick for the AR? To me, none of the categories available fully fit. The few times I've submitted an AR because of "out of theme", I've used the Land Encroachment category and then just explained myself in the comments. ETA -- LOL, apparently roseelvira and I are thinking alike right now.

And this one isn't even a shell, but a full on house addition. It actually doesn't even look finished, but I can't imagine that the finished version will be any better other than a few odd parts sticking out being removed -- assuming the creator isn't actually wanting those parts to stick out. The additions are interesting territory as some do seem to totally take the original home out of theme. Some others manage to stay in theme, matching the house style and such, but still leave me shaking my head and wondering "Just Why?". And yet there are others that are truly lovely and do look great without taking the house out of theme or being too overbearing.

I've seen so many folks do similar things with their houseboats. I shake my head a lot and I'm so glad that my houseboat views don't include such.

I wonder if the add-on is originally that ugly or if this particular person just made it look that bad. ETA: Not an MP add-on, but something the owner created (as mentioned below). Some people have very interesting ideas on what looks good.

I nabbed a Trad a short bit ago, but released it right away. I have seen Trads show on the page a few times this morning, but no Vics since last night.

I think you missed a zero in each of those numbers -- maybe should have been 40,000 and 10,000. One of his first interviews, he said there were over 38,000 old Linden Homes to be replaced - so around 40,000 new ones needed. His most recent release announcement stated that we currently have over 10,000 of the new homes.

I think that mostly things were secret -- nobody seems to know who @SaintNicholas2019 is. Also, a few people posted here about gifts they received from people that were actually outside of this Secret Santa thing.

I think someone else mentioned that in another thread. I'm pretty sure I would have AR'd that. A blizzard is quite a bit more than a "light dusting of snow".

A fluke - I'm still seeing all except for Victorians

However, we don't know if they will release any more Victorian regions. They are already working on the next theme and they still have quite a few homes of the other types that are not yet claimed, as well as more regions of the other types that are not quite finished and released. Therefore, I'm not so sure I even see them creating more Victorian regions. The only places that really even have a remote possibility of Victorian homes are south of the mountains in those SSPE regions that are not yet completed - and then only if they do a lot of landscape changes in those areas. Which is why I said that if you are determined to only have a Victorian and not any abandoned property, then you truly may never get one. I'm just trying to give you some realistic expectations, but we are all free to dream here.

Where I live, you have to haul them off to the recycling location yourself -- the local park, a mile or so away, in my case.

If you truly do not want any abandoned property then, based upon everything that I can see and know so far, you will not get a Victorian. Best I can tell, there will not be any more regions of Victorians released. The ONLY way to get one will be an abandoned one. Even though I have alts that own multiple types of homes - a Traditional, a Houseboat, and a Camper - I am not willing to give those up. Therefore, I only have one Premium account left to use for trying to find a Victorian that I like. Thus, even with my alts owning other homes, I have no more than 5 chances per day -- just like you -- to get a Victorian home.

Since I scolded someone else, I have to be fair and do the same here -- you aren't really supposed to advertise you own stuff. If you take a picture of a room and comment on the stuff, you can comment that you made such and such pieces. If people ask, you can then tell them where to find them. However, you aren't really supposed to just take pics of things you made and say you are selling it and where to buy it.
