  1. Thank you Whirly for that work around. These empty folders have been in my listings since the change to VMM and no one ever told us how to get rid of them until now!
  2. From my experience, that is exactly how the VMM "manage listings" works. ~ The 5 nameless listings are ghosted, so that means that you probably tried every which way to delete them and the system has now ghosted them. When I first set up my store under the VMM format, I tried to delete my "nameless" listings, and ended up with a handful of ghosted listings. Nothing can be done about them - there were JIRAs on this long ago and they were never adequately resolved. Maybe LL can manually delete them for you if you file a support ticket. I just ignore them. ~ The Top Selling Products list shows everything you have ever listed and cannot be changed or adjusted. I've got the ghosted listings in there, as well as my test cubes, etc. Merchants have asked if this report could be cleaned up and if we could remove discontinued items from the list, but to no avail. ~ Going forward, when you first list items, if the name field is blank, go into edit the listing and manually type it into the field. If you list only in English, make sure that all the language tabs are completely blank (check the other languages because the item name was probably inserted in one of those tabs - delete it from there). ~ With regard to your active listings (the 15), as long as that's what you want in your store and they are not duplicates of each other (which is considered item spam), then you're fine.
  3. I believe what you are experiencing is the new Marketplace search - it was changed a few months ago and is quite different. I wish I could offer some help with regard to how to better use it, but I also have trouble with it to find things that were easier to find with the old search. Here's a link to a thread where you can read about it (it's quite long, so maybe take a look at the last comments). The Lindens working on the search are watching that thread, so if you add your comment, they *may* see it. https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Merchants/Marketplace-Beta-Search-New-Information/td-p/2981178
  4. FYI, Pamela, features have always counted. Titles, features and keywords. Descriptions do not.
  5. Same thing here. It's the most recent Firefox update. Only seems to affect the MP, not the other SL websites (like the forums or dashboard or profile).
  6. Fenn, by any chance are you using an ad blocker? In the past, my ad blocker would filter out any picture that had ad, advert, advertisement, etc in the name. Even if you're not, try not to name your pictures with that reference, perhaps just use the product name and simply picture (or nothing) because shoppers with ad blockers may not be able to see those. That may be why when you renamed them including advert as part of the name without the space they became visible to you.
  7. No question that shopping cart glitches and other bugs affect sales. However, those tend to happen throughout the year. The sales drop corresponds directly to the change in search, by double digits down. So while other glitches may take a nibble at sales, the search change took a bite. Just my experience and that of Merchants I've spoken to.
  8. ChinRey wrote: [snip] MP sales only show up in the transaction history as being Commerce Linden so there's no way of knowing who the customer was from that. With no record about the transaction on MP, the only thing the seller can do is compare the sales stats and transaction history for that day and see if they match. Or wait for LL to sort it out of course. It is their responsibility, no matter how you look at it. Perhaps I'm not understanding your post, but transaction history does show the name of the buyer (not the recipient in the case of a gift). The source is Commerce Linden, but at the end of the transaction posting, the buyer's name appears in parantheses. It's very easy to search and find a customer by name that way if it was in the past 32 days. Many Merchants keep years of records downloaded to spreadsheets (mine go back to my first sale in 2009) and those are also searchable. If the transaction is missing, or the name is missing, and yet LL says the money was received, then yes, the Merchant would have to check to see if money received equals the total of transactions recorded. If not, then it probably is a bug (and a serious one at that).
  9. Most likely the best route is to find freckle appliers for the body. Then you wear your favorite skin and add those. I just did a quick search of the MP using the word "freckles" and then sorting by relevance, and quite a lot come up right away.
  10. I just find this so wierd - Over the weekend there were almost equal amounts of Lindens for sale at 258 and 257 - between 45-50 million each. Today, Monday, 257 is still at the 48 million level, but 258 is up to almost 93 million - where does over 40 million come from in 24 hours?
  11. It's great to hear you reply and to know that it is being worked on. But sincerely, please revert to the prior search before the weekend starts. Many merchants are experiencing significant downturns since this was implemented.
  12. Even more frustrating, the issue with Best Selling sort being inaccurate and nonsensical was brought up repeatedly during the BETA. If you look back at the feedback thread, numerous people had the same issue as we do now, only now it's live. From what I can see, the first 12 in the best selling sort are most recently sold; after that it devolves into a mish mash of older products. Dakota, Please, this new search really wasn't ready for prime time. It really should be rolled back until these issues and the others pointed out in a variety of threads are fixed.
  13. Sally, I know your post is directed to Pamela, but I'd like to comment as well. Yes, my sales have taken a sharp decline in the past 24 hours, since the implementation of the new search.
  14. Another one related to the deleted listings showing up, is inactive listings being turned active again. They show up in the store, but when clicked lead to the MP homepage. They DO show as inactive in Manage Listings. The work around that I did was to reactivate them, check to make sure it no longer leads to the MP homepage, and then go back and deactivate them.
  15. It's a bug introduced with the new search. A JIRA needs to be created for it so it can be fixed. Just created it: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-37670 Please add your comments/experiences there so LL can have the information necessary to fix this.

  17. It's a result of the new search that was implemented yesterday. Several bugs were introduced, so most likely there will be several new JIRAs created. I experienced a slightly different bug than you - in my case, inactive listings were made active again, but lead to the MP homepage when clicked. The Manage Listings page shows them as inactive. The quickest fix for this one is to reactivate the listing and then deactivate it again. For the issue you've described, unless you can figure out a workaround, you'll need to file a JIRA for it. https://jira.secondlife.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa
  18. Arton, my apologies! lol, I typed too fast (I can't even blame auto-correct).
  19. Thanks Anton, I didn't realize that. The notes don't say anything about a security update which Caleb's post mentions, they only mention a bug fix, so that added to my confusion.
  20. Caleb, Unless I'm reading those release notes incorrectly, they are for 8/1 (last week). I don't see any notes for today 8/9.
  21. For some of us, our accounts were delinked from Paypay, so you just have to reenter/relink it. Maybe that's what you're experiencing. Here's the post about it: https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Status-Grid/Process-Credit-Payout-Method-Issues/ba-p/3043001 [Posted 8:21 AM PST, 22 June 2016] Some residents have reported problems using Process Credit. It appears that the Payout Method may have been deselected, selecting it again should correct the issue. To do so, please go to https://accounts.secondlife.com/process_credit/; in the "Payout Method" section, click Change, select your PayPal or Skrill account, and click OK. If your payout method does not appear, please use Add a PayPal account or Add a Skrill account to re-add it. If this does not resolve the issue, please file a support case at https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ so we can assist you further.

It will be interesting to see how "intention" matches up with "reality". It should have nothing to do with luck or crossing your fingers etc. Until they can give everyone the faster credit processing they should not be charging everyone the higher fees. The whole thing is just disgusting. Those people who don't meet 'the better we know you' criteria shouldn't have to pay the increase in fees. Charging for a service that you may or may not get. WTF is that about? I haven't tested the system yet. I would expect them to know me, as they have all my identity and info and I've been cashing out since 2011. But at the same time I'm not only worried for myself, I care about the injustice to the 25% or more who may never get the benefits, but are paying for it. They really should have two options - as it was or faster pay out. But they won't, because they know that too many people would choose to have it as it was. QFT. I've been cashing out since 2009. They have every bit of my information. I still had to file a support ticket to get my most recent cash out in 4.5 days (longer than it has been taking since before this change).
  23. Yes, all transactions are recorded on your Secondlife.com Dashboard under Account->L$ Transaction History. It records all money or other (object being given or received) transactions. So, your inworld and Marketplace transactions show up there. Marketplace transactions will show up as: Commerce Linden MKT2 Item Sale Description: Order #, Item # (purchaser name) That History only records the past 32 days, so download it to a spreadsheet for recordkeeping, otherwise it is gone forever. Your Marketplace transactions never disappear from the MP Orders history, and contain much more information - which item was sold, who the purchaser was, and who the recipient was. There are quite a few Merchants who link all this information together. I'm not one of them, but if you search this Merchant Forum, you'll come up with some prior threads which discuss it.
  24. That's a different problem, LadyPetunias. There's something wrong with the way you're setting up the listing (I'm sorry, I don't know how to help you with it). It may be something you need to submit a support ticket to solve.
  25. In the beginning, sure, it will help to see if it is being viewed (Top Selling Products). I do look at that when a new item is listed, especially since new items appear on the last pages of the Top Selling Products report. And if you want to try using the info to track changes you make in keywords or other searchable fields (item title and features) and look at conversion rates from views to sales, you certainly can, I wouldn't discourage it at all. After a while, as your store grows (my Top Selling Products report is 42 pages) it becomes more effort than it's worth. There's no way to download any of the reports except the Orders History, so everything else needs manual input.
