Finally got in.
-
Hi Yasojith I would suggest you test it with an alt or a friend. It should deliver the new, active item. However, when I did this (long ago), the original item was sent, NOT the new one. No matter what I did, even deleting the old item from the folders, the old item was what got redelivered. I had reported it here and no one else had the issue I did. I hope it works properly for you!

lol, just tried with a store alt and couldn't get in, but she's showing up on my friends list on the dashboard as being online. I still can't get in on my main.

Cannot login either. Filed a support ticket because I don't see any info on Grid Status (yet).

L$ Transaction History Down??
Arwen Serpente replied to Orlitza Pobieski's topic in General Second Life Tech Discussion
Down for me too. -
This is why I mentioned filing a support ticket with the specific situation. That reference can be interpreted in different ways. For instance, it could be interpreted in your way, but also it could be interpreted to say that you couldn't direct people to a site that sells mesh models, but you could direct them to your own website. There are reputable MP merchants who do direct customers to their own websites to purchase models (i.e., dae). So to me, it's not entirely clear.
-
This may help you: It is in the Marketplace Listing Guidelines here: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/listing_guidelines#references-to-other-ecommerce-websites If that doesn't provide the info you need, or it isn't clear, consider filing a support ticket to describe your specific case and whether or not it falls within the MP Guidelines.

LL Announced a Project to BAKE Textures on Meshes
Arwen Serpente replied to Medhue Simoni's topic in General Discussion Forum
Theresa, thank you, that helps a lot. In my case, I include the classic clothing layers and the Omega appliers so that both classic and mesh avatars can use my clothing. However, some creators stopped including the classic clothing layers when mesh bodies became so popular. For them, this could entail additional work if they have to go back and create them (obviously they have the texture, so that isn't the problem) and then rework their finished goods. -
LL Announced a Project to BAKE Textures on Meshes
Arwen Serpente replied to Medhue Simoni's topic in General Discussion Forum
I may not understand this project properly, but I make hundreds of Omega appliers. They are included with every gown I make. I can't even begin to imagine what it would mean to have to convert all of those to a new system for me or other creators who use Omega extensively. -
PSA: Merchants are responsible for MP errors
Arwen Serpente replied to Paul Hexem's topic in Merchants
I just send the transaction information from my dashboard that shows when they purchased it and when I refunded it. Sometimes I include the conversation I had with the customer so it's clear that we spoke and I sent a refund. It's really rare that it happens (that I need to send a refund). But it really isn't very much work to send the info to Support and get the commission credited to your account. -
PSA: Merchants are responsible for MP errors
Arwen Serpente replied to Paul Hexem's topic in Merchants
Elvina? If a merchant refunds a customer, all the merchant has to do is file a support ticket with the information and LL does refund the commission to the Merchant. I've done it, and they do refund it. -
Nyxie, Edited: I just read your response above, if you see them in your inventory then it's not an applier, it's a mesh piece of clothing. Not sure how to solve that for you - perhaps a relog, or, try going to a quiet sim? It may be something to do with your connection to SL. If you do end up having issues with appliers, then the comments below may help you out: If the clothing applier is an Omega Hud, then you'll need to pick up an Omega Relay (a tiny HUD you wear when you wear the clothing HUD). Basically, the Omega "relay" communciates with your Maitreya body to apply the clothing. Whether the applier is Maitreya specific, or, Omega, if you are layering appliers (for instance, wearing a shirt over an undershirt), then you need to turn on MASKING in your Maitreya body HUD - you'll find it on the layers tab - there are buttons under each type of clothing layer that you can toggle on or off. Those are the two of the most common issues experienced with appliers, so I hope that helps you.

Phil, by any chance does the unruly cursor issue affect anything else other than the forums? I've had the issue a couple of times - windows 10 stops recognizing my mouse driver and the cursor becomes unruly when typing. In my case, uninstalling and reinstalling the mouse driver solved it.

Can't "Test Delivery" or make some items "Active."
Arwen Serpente replied to Linda Latte's topic in Merchants
Hi Linda, I'm not sure when the last time you tried to update your store - here's the link to the knowledge base with info about the Viewer Managed Marketplace which is the current system https://community.secondlife.com/knowledgebase/english/viewer-managed-marketplace-r1367/. If your items were not successfully migrated, then the only way to correct it is for Support to reset your store or provide guidance to you so that it can be corrected. Marketplace Support has been very responsive to these issues with stores, so don't hesitate to raise the ticket and ask for help. I don't think this is something you'll be able to solve on your own. I hope you'll have it all sorted out very soon -
Can't "Test Delivery" or make some items "Active."
Arwen Serpente replied to Linda Latte's topic in Merchants
Linda, You may need to raise a support ticket to request help with your store, or, give you guidance on what to adjust. I just took a peek at some of your listings and under the Contents tab there is the error message: "Could not get listing contents, please try again later." - so something appears to be amiss with your folder contents. I hope it all gets sorted for you and that you are back up and running as soon as possible. -
I'm getting used to the new forums - they're different from the prior version - in my mind, not really better or worse. As many have mentioned, the editing and deleting functions would prove more useful if the limits were lifted. I don't actually recall that we ever had any huge issues with editing or deleting in the past, so I'm not sure why it would be an issue going forward. Two current points of minor annoyance: 1) all the white space (as already mentioned) is overkill - a more compact format would be much appreciated; and, 2) when logging into a particular forum, the page is redirected to the Home page, so it forces us to have to hunt for the forum and thread all over again - this was an issue with the old forums at one point as well, but was corrected. Hope it can be corrected for these as well.

Rhonda, I just found the signature setting. Thank you! Now if I only knew how to reply to your post and not just the most recent one. -
Need some help using the new forums
Arwen Serpente replied to Arwen Serpente's topic in General Discussion Forum
Thanks Rhonda Yes, that's what happens to me too - the edit button is there immediately following a post, but after that it disappears, so if you want to correct something 5 minutes later, it's not possible. As for adding signatures, I looked at that area before posting this thread, but couldn't find it. I'll look again. -
I'm not sure how to use the new forums the way I used to use the old ones. For instance, I can't figure out how to: 1) edit a post (after it is already posted); 2) delete a post or a thread; 3) add a signature. There may be other things as well, but those are the first that come to mind. If anyone can help with some tips, it would be much appreciated!

Marketplace is failing to update Relevance Sort
Arwen Serpente replied to Arwen Serpente's topic in Merchants
Ok, so Relevance is updating. However, Best Selling is a total jumble. I never use this sort because it has never been well defined and was subject to bugs when the new search was implemented. So, I don't know if Best Selling was never actually fixed, or if this is a new malfunction. In any case, Best Selling does not reflect best selling (historically, by volume, by value, or by recency). I added the comment to the JIRA that is already opened. -
Marketplace is failing to update Relevance Sort
Arwen Serpente replied to Arwen Serpente's topic in Merchants
Just checked and this morning it did update. So, LL may have seen the JIRA and resolved the issue. If I knew how to use the new forums, I would edit my original post rather than replying to myself. If the Relevance sort does not work as expected over the next few days, I'll come back with another update. -
Hi All For over a week now, the Relevance Sort on the Marketplace has been stuck/frozen and has not updated on a daily basis as it should. It may have an impact on sales since item rankings and visibility are not updating. There's a JIRA created to report this to LL and get a fix. Please add your comments if you've noticed the Relevance sort is broken. JIRA is here: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-41523

How to update no modify creations to modify?
Arwen Serpente replied to Zoran Elton's topic in Merchants
It's called "slam bit" and it is something that LL recommends against. It is a quirk of the permissions system, so while it is not technically a bug, it is not a feature either. No matter what, it is a practice to be avoided. Here's more: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Debug_Permissions -
Empty Listing Names in the Manage Listings section
Arwen Serpente replied to RobertEroicaDupea's topic in Merchants
Robert, I just saw another thread about this here: https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Merchants/Unlisting-Blank-Folders/td-p/3085392 Whirly Fizzle provided a workaround for this empty folder issue. I just tried it on mine and it worked. Maybe it will help you too.
