  1. Charlotte, I'm glad you started the thread, I totally agree that a survey would pool everyone's ideas and allow the most popular to rise to the top. I don't, however, want to live through another migration to a new system (and certainly don't want to do it manually) given the very bumpy migrations that have been implemented over the years and pay more for it unless LL can provide projections for growth due to those changes.
  2. I honestly didn't need to laugh that hard before going to bed. I'll never get to sleep now!
  3. I thought about that ChinRey. And yes, I agree, less time with administrative work means more time being able to do other things, including creating. From my own situation, I spend a ridiculous amount of time creating at the expense of other parts of my life, so maybe, less administrative work will translate to an incremental walk around the block, or time with family or friends. In the end, even if I do spend more time creating, it doesn't mean my creations will be higher quality than I can currently make, or appeal to a wider audience. So for me at least, time saved may not necessarily mean an increase in sales - or an increase in sales that would offset the cost of the upgrade to the system. I can only speak for myself and my own situation. Edited to add ~ Just thinking about it a little more, even if my administrative time managing my MP store and listings improves, how much really will I gain? A couple of hours every few weeks when there's something new to list, or, when I want to make an update or clarification to a listing? The UI isn't fun, and it certainly needs the improvements we all agree, but in the end, another few hours of creative time won't result in sales gains enough to offset an additional 5 or 10% in commissions, or an increased Premium membership, or increased cash out fees.
  4. While I do agree that "time is money", when I crunch the numbers, any increase in costs needs to be offset by an increase in sales. Take it down to the number of transactions that would be needed each day, day after day, to offset those costs for your own business and see if you think it is realistic. Without LL investing in new ways to market SL externally, not just internally to the current residents with improvements in the grid (be it to the overall grid features or operation or some individual aspect like the MP), I just don't see where the growth comes from. Have they replaced the PR exec (Peter Gray)? Are there investments planned for new advertising or PR or social networking? I don't see that in the SL15 list of new shinies. There's only so much that current residents have as available spending power - perhaps these improvements will wring out a bit more, but I really think people are already spending at a max now.
  5. To me, that gets complicated. I'd rather keep things as simple as possible for my customers. If, though, there are substantial increases in MP fees, then the restriction on how we price things on the MP versus inworld needs to be lifted. RL stores do it all the time. Right now, Walmart, Target, and others have one price on the their website and a "pick it up at the store" lower price. In the end, if we are allowed to do that, it could help inworld shopping make something of a resurgence. Won't ever beat the convenience of the MP, but for those that are price sensitive, it will provide an option. Anyway, I think we may be getting a bit away from the topic of this thread, the Merchant survey and features wanted. So, I'll leave it at this for now.
  6. Elvina, the LL SL15 announcement made clear that there will be increased costs to pay for these upgrades, not only to the MP but to other parts of SL. They have not said exactly what those increases may be, but the participants here are surmising that it could be MP commissions, Premium memberships, cash out fees, even perhaps a "service fee" for all MP transactions (I don't want to call it a sales tax, but that's what it would be). So based on what other sites charge, say for commissions, that could be up to 40% versus the current 5% Merchants pay now. So I think the "25%" that's been mentioned is just a guess-estimate - but it does make the point that none of this comes free and it will have an impact on our business revenue.
  7. Couldn't agree more with both of you, Luna and Kitsune. The only thing that will compensate for significant cost increases to residents will be growth of the overall SL platform, meaning population and retention. Improvements to the MP are very welcome and a long time coming. It's great to have a survey that will help LL understand better what the priorities are for the shoppers and merchants alike. But for the most part, these will be one time changes in MP code. That's a one time cost to LL with very little ongoing cost. Increases to cash out fees, commissions, membership plans, etc are not one time, they are ongoing increases to residents. In planning my business for these changes, I see my costs rising substantially, but my sales staying about the same = net effect, a hit on my bottom line.
  8. Like Pamela, my bookmark is from years ago (the day I got this computer 8/8/2013 - probably one of the first bookmarks I made - guess that tells you my priorities). If the bookmark goes to the selected default (for me that would be "today"), that works for me.
  9. Those quick date filters are quite nice! If it's "sticky" (persistent) over logins and refreshes, then that looks like a great upgrade to the transactions page. Thank you very much for acting on the feedback!
  10. Thanks Pamela & Cain. Even though the JIRA is set to public, it seems we can't add comments. I vaguely remember this was a change to JIRAs a while back, so I'm sorry that I didn't remember when I wrote my post. I think though the comments here even more important because they are visible to all Forum readers & Grumpity, while the JIRA comments are really only visible if you click through to it.
  11. There is now a new feature request to make the transactions view definable by the Resident, and a request to rollback the 7 days to 1 day for the default (until the new feature can be implemented). It can be found here: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-214748 Set it to watch, vote for it, add comments if it is important to you.
  12. Actually, to be a bit more constructive - a "feature" would be allowing the user to set a certain time frame as their own default that would persist from session to session. If someone wants 7 days, they can set it. If someone else wants 10 days, 30 days, 1 day, they can set. it. To me, that's a "feature". Otherwise, this is just a "change" to the default.
  13. No offense Grumpity, but this is absolutely not a feature that I want. I watch every single individual day. If I want to look at a week or month, I change the dates. Not the other way around. By no means would I want 7 days as the default. Just not the way I have ever run my business in 9 years.
  14. To Whirly and Earalia, thank you both for your help figuring out how to get the item reactivated. I was able to log on just now and reactivate the item through the viewer. To Support/LL, thank you for getting this fixed!
  15. Mine won't reactivate from the Manage listings section. It is highlighted in red and says no version folder. I don't know what that means. I am unable to log on to a viewer until the morning (on mobile atm). If I have to list this as an entirely new product then ranking is lost, and it was literally #1 seller in my store.
  16. Dear Support Team/LL, Could someone tell us what this bug is? What's causing it? Even though you are working to restore missing items, that's only a band-aid if the core issue has not been fixed. I've been going to the stores of merchants that I frequently buy from - they have missing products (one I bought just yesterday), and I see some merchants are relisting them in an effort to not lose sales. Should we have confidence that this bug is fixed? Or is it just, wait, watch, report missing, restore...
  17. In my case, they are deleted completely. No longer appearing in the Marketplace listings. Edited - oh sorry, i read that too fast. yes they show up in my viewer. They were deleted from the website Manage Listings.
  18. Hopefully they are working through a list of them. I'm glad you got it back For me, No response to my support ticket, no response to my JIRA, and the item is still deleted from my store.
  19. Temptation, the issue may not be related to flagging, it may be related to this: https://community.secondlife.com/forums/topic/414770-suddenly-unassociated-products/
  20. If you're familiar with the total number of items in your store, that would be a key indicator. Then you can check Manage Listings - some may see it/them in un-associated, but others like me do not see it at all (its been totally deleted from listings).
  21. Pamela, I know how many items I have listed in my total store, and I'm quite familiar with how they rank when sorted by default relevance, so when I go to my store, I see immediately if they are all there or not. An hour ago, this gown was #1 seller in my whole store, all listings were there. Now, this best seller is gone. It does not appear in Manage Listings at all. It is still in my SL inventory in world/in viewer, but shows as not listed.
  22. And for some reason, I cannot add comments to the JIRA. Always have been able to before. This listing is not just unassociated, it is gone. Completely. Since I can't comment on the other JIRAs, I created another one https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-202747
  23. Just hit me too. Best selling Christmas gown gone. Was there earlier this morning when I logged on. Now it's gone.
  24. Yasojith, if you would like, I am more than happy to be a guinea pig for you. Just tell me which item that you plan to update and I will buy the one listed currently. Then after you see my transaction come through, go ahead and do the update. After that, do a redelivery to me from the Merchant Home/Transaction History, and I will let you know if I got the new one or the original.
  25. FYI - "Test Delivery" will deliver the new item. However, if you use the Marketplace transactions "redeliver" button, that is when (in my case) it delivers the original item not the new one. I do recommend testing by buying the item and then using that method for redelivery.
