As far as I know, the HPA format was specific to a third party's service. Primcomposer and Maxport are not Linden Lab products so the main client mostly likely won't include any import or export abilities. (>_<) My suggestion would be to see if Primcomposer or Maxport has a support site or group. There is the remote possibility that they've updated beyond backwards compatibility or even shut down. These things do happen. (._.)

How can I stop selling products to people I banned?
Imnotgoing Sideways replied to Darkraven Danick's topic in Merchants
No. () Have you any proof that he's using Copybot? If so, AR him the moment you can connect him with any copybotted content. Otherwise, maybe you're just his favorite creator. ()y -
second life + multi cor cpu
Imnotgoing Sideways replied to jimjim Loon's topic in Second Life Viewer
Yes and no. () There are some functions of SL (voice and web) which run in seperate executables and there are a few processes that run on their own threads. But, overall, SL more CPU intensive functions don't seem to be optimized for multicore CPUs. ()y -
Playing sounds longer than 10 seconds...
Imnotgoing Sideways replied to Domitan Redenblack's topic in LSL Scripting
It's a matter of splitting the overall sound into 10 second segment wav viles, uploading them all, and using a script to play them in sequence with 9.9 second gaps from one to the next. () Any files actually longer than 10 seconds are old and were uploaded before that limit was set. ()y -
Pretty much anythin that sandwiches itself between your Windows network driver and the hardware layer wil trigger this. Virus scan apps being the most prevelant. You wouldn't happen to have a Killer NIC or Killer Xeno, would you? Bigfood network manager is really bad. () I also had a problem with a bandwidth metering app in the past. All these apps are trying to wedge their way into what's meant to be a protected data stream. In this game of "king of the hill"... SL's webkit plugin loses out. (._.) More info can be found here. Preload sound of Avatar attachment
Imnotgoing Sideways replied to Domitan Redenblack's topic in LSL Scripting
I've had bad luck with prefetch as well. What I wound up doing, when needed, was to trigger the sound on a 20 second timer at 0.01 volume. () Two things are happening. 1: Prefetch probably doesn't work. I'm not sure, but, maybe. and 2: Cache gets frequently garbage collected. Go without using a sound/texture/animation for long and it'll have to re-download it. (>_<) So, play quietly and often has been my personal solution. ()y -
It looks like he's dealing with an extremely corrupt cache, HDD issues, or some sort of epic texture bug. My suggestion would be to manually delete the contents of his cache folder, uninstall his SL client, run Scandisk and Defrag on that hard drive, then re-install and run. ()

Unrealistic lighting effect
Imnotgoing Sideways replied to Sy Beck's topic in Building and Texturing Forum
I use an old GTX295 dual GPU card. If you're on any client compiled at least this past summer, shadows shouldn't be an issue on your system. V3 actually defaults to shadow+AO rendering in Ultra mode. () -
Unrealistic lighting effect
Imnotgoing Sideways replied to Sy Beck's topic in Building and Texturing Forum
Since the dawn of SL, light hasn't been able to be blocked. So, yeah, the sun pervades through all surfaces. (>_<) Though, if you can nab a new new Nvidia card, turning shadow rendering and ambient occlusion will yield the ability to block the sun and projected textures. () I've got a pretty dramatic example here. =^-^= http://snapz.me/i/506904.jpg -
Setting the SLICE property of a prim

I tend to check on that Jira just about every other month. It makes me all sad-like and stuff. (._.) -
Have you tried Immerschoen Fashion? They don't so much in colour but heave great detail and are quite believable. ()

Consider visiting NCI. Main location is in the Kuula sim (Just type Kuula in the map). There is a huge supply of freebies there along with a sandbox to build in and helpers who can give advice and assistence. Along with that there is a calendar of events that covers the whole week, every week with contests, lessons, Q&A sessions, and parties. =^-^=

I don't understand! (Premium question)
Imnotgoing Sideways replied to Strophanthus's topic in General Discussion
You don't have to "buy" land per se. Linden Homes are placed on 512 parcels with the house which doesn't count against the parcel prim count. A premium account + Linden Home = "free" land as long as you maintain premium account status. ()y -
Disclaimers in Covenant/Private Im's?
Imnotgoing Sideways replied to GothGirl Demonia's topic in General Discussion Forum
There is a bit of gray area to this. For one, the ToS/CS prohibits intolerance and harassment as well. But, in combat style RP, intolerance and harassment (at least on the surface) is quite the norm. So, what you get is a situation where the ToS/CS violations are part and parcel to the roleplay. () That said, an estate covenant is much like an addendum to the TOS. There will be times when rules of the RP have to be enforced by GMs based on information typically only known by a Labbie. Since the lab won't get involved in resident disputes, it's up to the estate staff, within the guidelines for the ToS/CS/Covenant to act accordingly. () At the same time, RP is supposed to be consentual. In a way, you consent to follow the covenant of an estate upon arrival. Otherwise face ejection and/or ban. On that accord, what the covenant says, goes. If you feel as though a GM/estate manager/owner has overstepped the bounds of Linden Lab's guidelines, send an abuse report. Let a Labbie sort it out. At the least, nothing will happen and you may learn that you're being over-sensitive about things. ()y -

How did you come up with the name for your Avatar!
Imnotgoing Sideways replied to Hippie Bowman's topic in Your Avatar
I came back to SL after ragequitting on another account. I forgot my password, was ticked over how delayed Playstation Home was ending up, and I needed a disposable alt to fill time while I tried to remember that old password. (>_<) That 'Sideways' surname looked good to screw with. =^-^= -

Basic Mode and Advanced Mode
Imnotgoing Sideways replied to Hector Michinaga's topic in LSL Scripting
Basic mode makes me "GRRRRRR"! DX As far as I know, the client doesn't broadcast that it's in either mode... Which is frustrating since one of the biggest first questions I ever get is "how do I get clothes". (._.) Right now, the helpers I work with pretty much all carry gestures mentioning ways for first timers to recognise they're in Basic and give instructions on how to set to Advanced. (>_<) -
Check out Bare@Rose for a big mix of styles at low prices. There is also Mt.St.Michel, home of the Edelweiss mainstore and a pretty sizable Japanese marketplace. For a more relaxed look, there is G-Field and Hal Hina. And for some of the most wild styles, check out Rabbt Kiss and Little Angel. =^-^=
