  1. Yeah, this. I have a pose HUD which I have used on a friend for pics, as well as another dance one . . . and neither bothers to ask my friend for his consent anymore. Basically, I can pose his face, and make him dance, anytime I want . . . Which, you know, is kinda fun . . . But why is this a thing? It's a bit of a security issue, surely?
  2. Well, I'm not going to hold you personally responsible for the deletion and the locks, because I suspect others ARed them as well, and the mods likely would have taken action on them eventually anyway. Nor am I going to call you a control freak, because I agree -- you are not one. But I am a little curious as to why you would AR threads merely, by your own telling, because you were "sick and tired" of them. You do realize that some people, probably a lot of people, actually did put work and effort and thought into their contributions? Looked up news sources or online resources, or spent a fair amount of time crafting posts? There was some nonsense, of course, but not more, I think, than I see in most longer threads. If they were annoying you, why not just . . . not read them?
  3. Ah, yes. I hadn't clicked on the link for the pic.
  4. Weird. I just scrolled through 8 pages of mine. I saw the word "erotic" and "kink" and "fetish" each once, but nothing remotely as explicit as what you've got on yours. It can't have anything to do with personal settings: I'm completely "adult" in all of mine.
  5. These threads are always problematic. Yeah, I get that they can become toxic waste dumps. And I also understand that mods don't have the time to go through a 40+ page thread and sort out the "good" from the "bad." But it is dispiriting to try to contribute in what one hopes is a productive and calm fashion to a discussion, just to watch it burn along with everything else. Oh well. It's the internet . . .
  6. Well, that and having spent 20 minutes writing a long and, I hope, thoughtful post that is now "poof" with everything else. It's a wee bit bizarre that Pam's thread is gone, another has been locked, but . . . the one that is obviously trolling the forum on the same subject is still there? ETA: It's now locked.
  7. Thanks Doc. While it's not quite the case that this was just "point and click," it is true that what makes the shot, particularly, is the combination of her avi's look, her pose, and her expression.
  8. TOTALLY not fair. Cris keeps himself in shape! Stylishly!! (That's him in the flattering blue top, patterned exercise pants, and DayGlo wrist bands.) /me swoons.
  9. La la la la la . . . can't hear you . . . Pffft.
  10. Oh yay! A new captive audience person to talk to! It was lovely having you there today, Laurel!
  11. This morning, it was breakfast with @Saskia Rieko, @BelindaN, and (in this pic) @Eva Knollerand @Laurel Aurelia. Missing thought bubbles . . . Eva Knoller: "OMG, she's still talking. Why is she still talking? What is she even saying?" Laurel Aurelia: "Well, this was a mistake . . ."
  12. Sunday breakfast today with @BelindaN (looking unconcerned), @Saskia Rieko (looking exasperated), and @Eva Knoller (looking confuzzled). Laurel Aurelia and I were also there, but modestly hiding in this pic.
  13. I'm really not convinced you guys know what you're doing. I'll just stay out of range of the flying clouds of flour.
  14. YOU DIDN'T SAY THAT THERE WERE BUNNIES!!!!! 🙂😍🙂🥰
  15. Ooooh. This is lovely! You don't happen to have a SLURL handy, do you?
  16. Janet, I'm so sorry. That's awful. I don't know what to say, other than I'm sorry. You're right about the dark things coming out. It's terrifying how deep this apparently went. I watched interviews with three DC cops who were defending the Capitol on the 6th, and their accounts of the savagery of the crowd were just chilling. There's something really scary moving under the surface of things right now; I have the sense that even Republicans are beginning to understand how dark are the forces they've been enabling, and are recoiling in horror and disgust.
  17. Yeah, this. I understand the value of the "Ignore" function for some people. There have been some pretty toxic posters here at times, and I totally understand the use of ignore for one's own emotional and intellectual health. And, sometimes, there are just people you don't want to read. I don't use the function, but there are certainly a few posters whom I just don't bother reading generally. Using the scroll wheel on my mouse is functionally the same. But to boast about the size of your "Ignore" list suggests that this is about something rather different. It says that someone is deliberately silencing voices that offer different perspectives and ideas, and, what's more, that that person is proud of the fact that they have chosen to swim around in their own little filter bubble, safe from ideas that might threaten their world view or require, you know, consideration and thought. "Snowflakes" indeed. I can't think of a better flag for that status than simply hiding from different voices and perspectives -- and being proud of your own wilful ignorance.
