  1. Day two of our blended yuletime. Mince pies are done (but Rudolph gets a potato this year as I forgot the carrot). Nigella has done Amsterdam on the Beeb and I need one of those tulip biscuit cutters (and a lie down but thats just me), the Glögg is steeping, the almonds are flaked and the Brännvin snaps is chilled. The pepparkaka are, of course, to hand. It is now too late for the last minute Konsum run so before the ceremonial lighting of the fourth advent candle and we all sit down for Kalle Anka on SVT - it is a legal requirement here and the polis do check - from Sverige I wish you God Jul =^^=
  2. Yep can confirm. Second Life Release 7.0.1.6894459864 Beta Wanderton confirm needed relog 7.1.1.7039128750 Kroagnon (on bluesteel) confirm needed relog (Sorry, I do not do JIRA because - reasons - so posting here)
  3. Peeve. I have now been forced to change my outfit for the sixth time this year as I have been honoured to do the DJ thing at SL Pride Holidaze (details at https://second-pride.com/) for very good causes. This pressure on SLBlokes(tm) is becoming outrageous. We will be forced to.. shop. :;
  4. Interesting. I can see both (actually thought out) points of view. It should be an addon - not a deal breaker. I have played with both 'experiences' (stupid name) and 'RLV' (used to have a more stupider but apt name) and use the second for - some quite mundane things. The first gives me nothing I am interested in building that I can't already grab (as Qie says above). The second I never really got in to. Scriptwise anyway Now I *do* go 'okie dokie why not' for the first if someone thinks I ought to but mostly.. what was the point of the sitter one again? Still not worked that one out. Or a dance thing that asks 'is it ok to animate your avatar for eternity plus all this extra stuff'? Had one the other day. Sure, but why ask 'is it ok to animate' when I clicked on the one next to it the day after. Can't remember the last time I clicked on something to dance and went 'oh noes my soul is lost'. Other things, perhaps =^^= Its a half erm torso part never explained properly nor implemented.
  5. Huge fun! You should see me as Geri Halliwell - wannabe, obvs. I wanted to be sporty but never had the legs. Oh have to add, met someone at a Kid Rock tribute thing (well we all learn) back in.. 2008? 9? That seems to have worked out.
  6. Given that a) D.I.S.C.O. is Life b) It ain't Xmas without Boney M c) With PBR I so want those trousers d) Where did you think I learned to dance anyway I give you... (and seriously check out the Dublin 78 gig - now that is rock and/or roll. Oh my lord)
  7. Well thats me busted then. (I know I don't post much but seriously - does it always take 10 minutes for a simple quote?)
  8. Excellent idea. I have coded a few and also have a few - concerns. Maybe something over in 'general'?
  9. I remember Lennon. I also remember xmas 1980. This was on the radio and a PYT (ask yer grandma) was singing under Her breath as we - made coffee. 6th form common room at Harlington. We went dancing that weekend. Youth eh? Wasted on the young
  10. I like. Even this old potato PC makes it look - nice. Playing with it I have had to adjust a wee bit of ye olde shine but not very much. On an old GT 620 no less (I had a better but my PSU blew up so I am on a clockwork one). But - to be honest even with that I can't remember the last time I switched off ALM. Well done, SL tech team. Nice one
  11. Mister Benjamin Zephaniah - poet, activist and all round good bloke RIP. One of His 'lighter' ones for the season. (and one day I will post something thats not a [redacted] obit)
  12. On family 'roots' always fun so... On behalf of all us happy mongrels who happened to have been born English - I apologise to the rest of the World. Having only arrived circa 1184 (Gran said it was 81 but well you know) with named records from 1220 ish. Family oral rubbish puts as as coming from Belgium - quite a feat as Belgium would not exist til 1831 ish. Oh we have a family coat of arms but, a la Famille Nobby Nobbs, we probably nicked it. Besides, he was a Labour Lord also distaff. Peeve - none really I just thought might be fun although in Quebec we celebrated Action de Grace - as that was when the Beaj Nouveau arrived. OK that is my peeve =^^= - I can't get it here.
  13. Peeve - I go back to meatspace to escape from SL. Only to find that 'Black Friday'* has not only crept in on this side of the pond but now it is 'Black Week' harrumph. All Hallows - well OK as Bonfire Night was always a bit - specific. Think is a bit of a loss 'culture' wise but still. Although the cats liked fireworks viewed through the window. Don't mind me, we have 3 xmas fillums a day already on the telly over here. It is November. Also harrumph. Speffic SLpeeve - designate 'every day is a holiday somewhere' Lets Us Shop and/or Hop or vice versa everyday. *perhaps should be HSL( 0x000000 ) period of colour although that might be peak GraunWokerati. Although HSL versus RGB is a hill I will gladly have a picnic on. And gladly cater. Joys of HueSatLight space. Changed my view on colour changing.
  14. Best Christmas song that never was. Ah 6th Form for those who know. Also F1 themed - can you hear the drums Fernando...
  15. I had my doubts but for all us guilty petrolheads ( and rudie punks ) Viva =^^= and no dis to the King
  16. Yep. Had the same on this and my 'respectable' account. Both times AR'd to find the originator had been - removed. Which was good. It was nice to see this but I have no idea if the message is even getting out to anti-social media. I mean, the number of residents who even read here is somewhat limited. My views on 'digital Darwinism' may need to be revised in terms of spread and speed of effect. At my age
  17. With a nod to ser Psaltery I found the Lennon reanimation a dirge and lacking his humanity. Probably the number one at Xmas though. And that would not be a bad thing. I liked Mull too, for my sins! Now for a vocal cut Ms Slick is it. If I had any musical talent this should be a madrigal. 'White Rabbit' I would go in to berserker mode for =^^= ETA - I am so bad at this forum thing
  18. My thunks? Like flexi and sculpties and bigger prims replacing 'megas' and materials and mesh before its 'ooook!' There are going to be some things that make me go hmm (c+c if you are keeping up) and then a wait while I learn if I can use it. SL, like Disco, is Life
  19. Streaming audio? I might be biased (and I am) but it works fine. Maybe not being logged in to 17 other things on your ahem 'janky' (good word) 'puter at the same time may help
  20. Digital Darwinism - it is a good thing. OK it might be an age thing (knocking on 60's door) but still - really?
