  1. Hmm, you don't have by any chance another Viewer installed too ? If so, it could be that 2 Viewers share the same cache, which is bad! (Clearing the cache is a good thing anyway, btw) The only other thing that would come to mind is, that you check your connection. Else, running out of ideas
  2. You are right, that there should be a link at least on the dashboard! But, playing a bit advocatus diaboli here, in a way i can understand LL here. They did announce it officially, it was featured on the log-in page AND it is visible in the viewer, the official that is. TPV's are just that, TPV's, it is their problem if they do not make this information available (at least in the eyes of LL i guess). But, again, SOME form of link somewhere would be very helpful indeed.
  3. This is a bug and it seems to be fixed in the next updates (at least on LeTigre). See here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Second-Life-Server/Deploys-for-the-week-of-2011-09-05/m-p/1079895/message-uid/1079895#U1079895

It was the first v1 viewer to support v2-like multiple attachments ! Like it was the first v1 viewer to support Alpha and Tattoos, item links, new search, etc... and now meshes. Ohh, ok. Seems i was misinformed then , thx for the clarification!
  5. Is there a chance that Cool will also at some time support Multiple Attachment on the same point ?
  6. Looking at your post, it seems you have a driver issue. The newest drivers do NOT support some OpenGL functions anymore, so you need to DOWNGRADE your NVIDIA-Driver! I think v 260.99 was the last which supported all necessary functions. ps.: No, i do not have an idea why

Can you access the "my.secondlife.com" via the old website? my.secondlife.com leads to the new web profiles. The URL is on a need to know basis You won't find any link to it on the official SL homepage or on your dashboard. Welcome to the inner circle So you are basically saying, that everyone who opens his/her profile inworld is in the "Inner Circle" ? Cause this URL is clearly displayed in my window every time i open my profile inworld!
  8. Just for your information here, if i save a snapshot to my compy in V2, i can choose between .png , .bmp and .jpg as formats! Just saying
  9. One way to solve this is the following: WEAR a box, click on it and choose "Edit". Under Content you can select the items you need and drag them into your Inventory. Hope this helps

  11. This sounds like a driver issue. Or better an issue with OpenGL. Did you try to downgrade your NVIDIA-Driver (yes i know this sounds strange )? If i remember correctly v.260.99 was the latest driver that still offered all OpenGL functions. Hope this helps

It's called "fork the code and make your own UI" and preferably "submit a patch back to the Lindens." The viewer's open source: If you're complaining that it sucks, and not doing anything about it, you're part of your own problem. Sure next time i try some kind of Software (after reading the fine print), i will of course first take some programming lessons. Wouldn't have found out , if didn't point this out so kindly!
  13. Does the word "Preferences" mean anything to you? A lot of your complains here are easily fixed by checking something here or unchecking something else! Big and chunky ? I'm sorry but i really can't follow you here, otherwise if we have different opinions about the size, again, go to Prefs! And Hair attaching to somewhere it doesn't belong to, that seems like a problem of some TPV Feature (like Multiple attachment stuff) not porting over to Official Viewer (or even newer TPV's).
  14. About how to find your list of blocked people: Go to the People Tab. Click on the Gear Icon on the bottom and choose "Show blocked persons...".
  15. Then they better come up with something that let's the User CHOOSE which interface he/she want's to use. Otherwise people like you stay in SL and all who are used to (dare i say LIKE) the new interface will leave. (Not an acceptable option, imo) I like Viewer 2 (or 3) and will definatly NOT use anything like V 1!
  16. Quite a few shops have a redelivery terminal for their MM-Items. Just go to the shop and look if they have one of these.
  17. Viewer 3.0.2 Beta (with Starlight Skin). Firestorm is still too unstable for me. Also doesn't offer ME any additional functions that i need and is in no way faster than my current viewer, so no need to switch to it . Phoenix is based on V1, meaning, too many modern features are missing that I want to have.

If you make everything small enough even the normal realistically scaled people will feel like giants hehehehe Let's squash some houses You're too late, somebody allready did this. I've seen a really nice downscaled City for Gundam RP (or other Mecha's or Godzilla :matte-motes-big-grin-evil: )
  19. Stuff will only get returned, if buyers don't read ! So far, ALL shops selling Mesh-Items make it VERY clear, that one needs a Mesh-enabled Viewer to properly use it. And judging by the Merchandise allready available (in this short time), i'm very pleased and quite anxious to see what else these creators will do in the future. They just got another tool for their creativity.
  20. You might want to downgrade your NVIDIA Driver to v.260.99. That one still has full OpenGL support it seems.
  21. Uh oh, i guess it shows i'm not so much into Marketplace. Should have checked that link
  22. Not sure about the Oilstains, but you might want to look here: Motorcycle Japan
  23. This Inventory Lag is a bug that was fixed and somehow seems to have gotten reintroduced on the newest Viewer (at least for some users). One way to fix this, is to install the newest Beta Viewer (3.0.2), where this bug is fixed.
  24. Conifer Dada wrote: I grew to like Viewer 2 and now Viewer 3 which looks the same. The sidebar is OK when one gets used to it but my only real criticism is that the camera controls tab is too big and intrusive. It would also be nice if we could customise the Viewer to our own choices of colour. Just as a question, what you need the camera controls for anyway ? Using crtl (or ctrl+alt) and holding down the mouse button works much easier (and more precise) for me.
