  1. my former landlord has sold the property and left me stranded. I'm now looking for a new place to call home. I had been renting a skybox for several years. It was large, two floors with lots and lots of prims. I'd like to find something like that once again if possible. The old one was it at a very, very reasonable rate. Please send any suggestions my way. Thanks for any help.
  2. For the last few days, particularly in the afternoonns (SLT), I am not able to login and get te message, "unable to connect to a simulatior". Also, when I am able to login my home region is not available.
  3. Does anyone know if there's a seat, chair or stool that allows one person to sit on another's lap such as in a club or bar? Low prim, copyable and the ability to change the texture would be ideal. mildy suggestive is ok.
  4. There hasn't been a news item in the blogs regarding the state of Second Life's economy or any news from the Lindens how they're making SL grow and thrive. We all enjoy it here and want it to continue. Are there any plans to attract more new residents and to bring those that left back?
  5. I will. I don''t expect to be on much this coming week but I'll look for you. Thank you.
  6. Well. I tried it at a sandbox and the results were the same.
  7. I've innstalled and reinstalled but there's no top menus or sidebar. I even tried going back to 2.81 but they're still missing
  8. I installed the newest SL Viewer and it crashes saying; The NVIDIA OoenGL driver lost connection with the display drive and is unable to continue. The application must close. Please visit http://www.nvidia.com/page/support.html for help. Error code:8 This is the latest driver.
  9. It makes no sense to me also but it's occurring. I'm using the same avatar, the same poseball pose in the same location. It is a bed that I'm trying to use. I removed all my attachments and still no luck. I even went so far as to uninstall Second Life, Phoenix and Firestorm and reinstalled them with the same result. I'm unable to run the new SL Viewer 3 due to some OpenGL error.
  10. The balls appear but when I right click and "sit", I get a message saying no room to sit here' or something similar. The older ,style viewers, i.e. Phoenix and SL 1.23 have no problems such as this. They work fine on my laptopp computer which uses ATI video but not on my other which uses nvidea. Upgrading the drivers made no difference. Any ideas? Thank you in advance
  11. I completely agree with several posterrs on this. If someone can use another Second Life person's name for their display name, all sorts of havoc could be created for the original, unsuspecting original name owner. This whole display name idea is awful in my opinion. I don't really see a need for it. LL, If it isn't broken -- DON'T FIX IT!
