If and when you do finally meet Maddy in-world, set your sun to midnight. There's less chance of damaging your new rig if she's barely visible. Enjoy!

  3. Madelaine McMasters wrote: I admire the efficiency of taking yourself to task in a single avatar, Qwal. I seem to need Snugs for that purpose. Need? That's a welcome admission, though it doesn't explain why you're always trying to get rid of me.
  4. Dillon Levenque wrote: Ha. There's a painting by an apparently prescient 17th century Spaniard on that theme. It's called 'The Sins of Madelaine'. Prescient indeed. Surely by now that list of sins has spooled out of the skybox and threatens Forgotten City air traffic. The busy ditch won't even buy me a decent pair of shoes.

I even had a nightmare about some I've seen o_O Why is this becoming a fad? You mean like this?... Or this?... Wow, I see what everyone means. Those ARE creepy! You should see her from the inside.
  6. Czari Zenovka wrote: I've noticed a trend, particularly in the "younger set" lately to say "I'm a good person" like they have to keep telling people that. I find that odd since people generally make determinations based on a myriad of input - forum posts, meeting the person in world, perhaps some from reading profiles, etc. If you ever hear Maddy say that, back away. A lightning strike is sure to follow.

  8. Marigold Devin wrote: Nothing ever was better than March 2008 for me, although it hasn't been totally downhill from there. Maddy arrived April 6, 2008. This might explain things.

Melita Magic wrote: Madelaine McMasters wrote: I've one of the 75% of US women who've never been raped, so I'm pretty sure I've no idea what it's like, especially for the 3% of US men who've endured the anguish. I'd rather include than exclude people from the conversation. So, is Snugs among those three percent? Maddy doesn't allow me to belong to any demographic.
  10. Syo Emerald wrote: I bet its because of the name. Snugs sounds like someone I want to jump at and cuddle for the rest of my virtual life. Syo, as it happens, I am so delightfully cuddly that I must walk around carrying a stop sign to ward off advances. Unlike Maddy, I don't crave the attention. You'd think she'd be more appreciative of my refusal to compete with her, even if that's because I prefer a challenge.
  11. I have a sugar-mommy alt that holds my payment information. I don't think she's ever been teleported, so she gets pushed from info-hub to info-hub as they vanish from the grid. I have another alt that created herself with the hope of having a lurid intimate relationship with some poor unsuspecting virtual companion. She was not smart enough to realize how poor and unsuspecting she herself was, and she would not listen to my constant warnings. I feel no pity for her. To her consternation, I am better liked by many of her friends than she is. For that reason alone, I recommend being someone's alt.
  12. I've been sharing an attic with Maddy for nearly 43 years. I still don't think it's a good idea.

Sometimes one post is enough, but not often. Sometimes people only see that for which they're looking. ...Dres Your fly is unzipped. Why are you staring at his nuts? I covered my eye with my hand so I can't be sure, but I think she only glanced with hers. It felt like a glance, though my recollection is blurred by the pain I felt on walking into the door jamb.
  14. Ceka Cianci wrote: i mean how many times do i have to go over this..6 years and still re-explaining? holes with pot in them are not holes anymore.. potholes are holes waiting to be filled.. with pot! avoid those..they are empty!! :matte-motes-nerdy: You'll have to excuse Maddy, Ceka. She's blonde, and from Wisconsin. Our neighbor, Chuck, called just a few minutes ago to say that Maddy stopped over carrying a fox and a rat, wanting his help. Not trusting her, he demurred. She then asked his wife for pins and loops, prompting them to comment that she seemed loopy enough already. This is not news. And now you'll have to excuse me. I had to wash my face in the bathtub this morning, my shoes are untied and I can't find my keys.

  16. wrightes wrote: This study has been reviewed by, and received ethics clearance by the McMaster(sic) Research Ethics Board. Emily, I can tell you right now that getting ethics clearance from Maddy won't get you very far here. On the bright side, she's unable to resist virtually any attention sent her way, so feel free to drop an IM to Madelaine McMasters to schedule a session. It will be a relief to have her half of our brain occupied for 10-20 minutes.

  18. valerie Inshan wrote: Come on Maddy: cheeeeeese! Maddy doesn't like to leave photographic evidence. I'm sure you understand. Will you settle for the two images of me in this photo? One is as she sees me, the other as I see me. I'm not sure which is which...
  19. Where are you from? I appear to spring from Maddy's imagination, though it might be the opposite. We argue about this constantly. When did you join SL originally? "Join" implies a willingness of sorts, doesn't it? I arrived in SL on April 6th of 2008, minutes after Maddy. She's gets huffy when I go first, even when she's pushing me. What have you mainly spent your time doing in SL in the past? I've spent almost all of the last five years shaking my head over Maddy's immaturity. In spite, she dresses me funny. How are you planning to spend your time in SL in 2013? I'll continue to urge Maddy to grow up, simply because that annoys her.

  21. Madelaine McMasters wrote: Innula Zenovka wrote: Take a hypothotical example. Someone called Xlox has posted "I like pizza" and you want to put it into reported speech. How would you do it? I'd handle this the way I handle reporting about my alt, Snugs. I've consciously left Snugs' gender unspecified, simply because it's amusing to me and a bit of a challenge, like rhyme... or haiku. If Snugs posted "I like pizza", I'd report that as "Snugs has expressed a fondness for pizza, without cayenne. This doesn't suprise me. Some people have no taste." Who are you to complain about my taste? You sprinkle cayenne on your hot chocolate. (I could have used "b1tch" instead of "complain", but I'm returning Maddy's favor.)

Lol, I've never been so pleased to receive emails from LL: "Thank you for contacting Linden Lab regarding your account. I apologize that you're having this problem. This appears to be a part of a bug and we are currently working on it. Thank you for your patience. You will be updated soon." Then: "Greetings from Second Life. Now I know why I am paying for a premium account! Thank you all for your support!!! Oh sure. Just as I get out of my jammies to join Mandji, you come back. Pffft, Maddy can have you!

My heart tells me they can't all be right. I know! How all those other people got it wrong is a mystery. Because, obviously I must be right. ; ) Celestiall, you sound remarkably like Maddy when she knows I'm the only one that can hear her.

Hi Val and Lia!!! Oh Lady had a town car. She loved that car. I though it was more like a tank. Peace! Then let Lady drive, Hippie. You just take a nap on the back seat. That will be safer. I can't sleep with her driving! Whew! HEHEH! Peace! You must get some pointers from Maddy. She can sleep while she's driving.
