  2. Ags Falconer wrote: Too dang funny!!! Thank you for sharing the humor!! :matte-motes-big-grin: I fail to see the humor in this, Mr. Falconer! Well, I fail to see it consistently, as my right boob blocks my vision every second or two.

It must be the Schaud...Sheherazade...Shademeister...whatever that word was that had something to do with laughing at another's misfortune. Don't go there! You saw the rainbow colored walls of text that resulted from her last attempt to sound intelligent.

  15. After noting a recent resurgence of interest in avatar physics, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately it seems that Maddy, in addition to eating half my ice-cream, also has half my physics... I'm not looking for a solution, just a little sympathy.

And no, I didn't learn that from Dad. Is that anything like the line from "Hallelujah" (my new favorite song) that says: "But all I've ever learned from love was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you..." I'm still pondering the meaning of that (I spend a lot of time pondering). Since I'm already on this line of thinking...there was a thread on SLU that included the mp3 of a SL resident singing this song at a memorial service for a SL resident who passed away - that rendition remains my favorite. I then watched the video of Leonard Cohen (the author/musician of the song) - the pain expressed in his rendition was heart-wrenching. Watched a few others (everyone and their brother seems to have recorded that song) and my next favorite rendition, after the SL resident, is KD Lang's version; the video of her performing "Hallelujah" at the 2010 Winter Olympics is visually amazing as well. (Tempted to post the video but last time I did that I got warned for inappropriate content. :matte-motes-bashful-cute-2:) It's more a reference to old westerns, which make more sense to us than Leonard Cohen. As for pondering, that's a good way to avoid getting things done. Maddy would approve, but I think you are both lazy.

  18. What about those, like Maddy, who respond to questions that have not been asked?

Not only might it provide insulatoin value, but it may serve as a warning to other mosiquitoes who venture in that their kind is not tolerated there and they'll turn tail and run. But what if one of those skeeters had bit her? Would we wish Maddy on a future generation? Ahem, I've got just enough paint left to cover a Martian. Are you sure about that? I thought I saw Snugs sneaking off with the paint can. I've got the can in my left hand, she's got the brush in her right. There's only so much I can do to protect you, Perrie.

Adding a WB Phil to the other ones I've seen lately... I'd be happy to log in and teleport you to a platform no one can see Czari if you want me to check out whether there is some error. I'm still on the old viewer and I can take a photo of your av and send it to you. Just let me know. I had a friend who was concerned about appearing naked and often asked me to check her out. I almost always saw her properly clothed, but often told her otherwise. I never told her she was clothed when not, so I did address her concern, even if exacerbating it. She was not wiley enough to ask me for photographic proof. No wonder Snugs hates you. I'm not the only one, Perrie.
  21. Ricky, Maddy is soooo blowing smoke there. I've lived with her for nearly 43 years and I can assure you that, in both RL and SL, this is her theme song...

I was going to ask a follow-up question to Maddy but since you're here :matte-motes-big-grin: - On the back of my PC the HDMI plug is labeled, amazingly enough, "HDMI" but in tiny lil writing under the plug it says HDMI v 1.1. I did a quick read about HDMI cables and see that there are newer versions. Will that be an issue? If the card says 1.1, virtually any HDMI cable should work with it. There are fancier cables that also carry Ethernet and 4K HDTV. You don't need that. Updated good news - contacted my father and he has extra HDMI cables so I won't have to buy one! Woot!!! The day is looking up! (But if I hadn't posted to vent - I would NEVER have known this monitor has an HDMI port!!!) I wonder what I'll discover if I vent. Me.

Let's settle this like adults....you go get your bikinis on and I'll get the pool fill it with the chocolate pudding. :matte-motes-sunglasses-3: ETA: Tickets will be available at the event for $50L each... It's always about Maddy, Tex. The only clothing I have is the referee's outfit you see in my forum badge. Maddy won't give me more to cover up with... or less. Mark me down for a ticket.
