  1. And you have a gift by the front door for us! 💓
  2. Well, I just came back from your Tortuga with a friend, and we agree that you are amazing! Do you have more than one house? I think that the more different people that decorate, the more unique styles we get.
  3. Whoa, @Charlotte Bartlett your Zanzibar Hideaway went from 88 Li to 66 Li! 22 Li is not bad. Another store: Jura Waterfront cottage, from 72 Li to 57 Li. We can not take for granted a loss in double digits. The Cucumber house from Onsu is 153 Li and lost 0 Li. The Onsu Downtown skybox with enviroment, went from 97 Li to 92 Li. Without enviroment, 93 Li to 92 Li. It is not possible to set physics to "none" since a building need physics, and set up invisible walls with openings for doors will be a big job and add Li as well. It is many rooms. For the Cucumber house, the server number is 153, same as the Li number, so it's not going to be lower than 153 anyway.
  4. Mm, it is moments like this when I am so happy to NOT be a SL merchant. If I was a seller of smaller Li non-worn items, I would face the critics and reply to them: "Thank you for notifying me, I have repaid your money". And call it a better solution than spending hours and hours of work for items that cost maybe 100L. The loss of 100L would be better than all that work, and I could then correct the Li number in the ad. Check the expensive items first and foremost. I do not know if LL will relist the stuff swiftly after the Li is corrected, LL has to know the workload is massive for the merchants. LL should not make it worse for them, but.... 🙄
  5. Was this the Magicae house? It was a bit hard for me to count the Li since it is in more than one part - due to the maximum prims a linkset can have. But I could see the Li went down, and it was a lot.
  6. Low Li items will show no difference if the download weight goes from 1.4 to 1.1. It is still 1 Li land impact. It is not necessary to change the description in the sales ad. But I am very sure that a boxwood urn had 1.4 download weight before this change from LL. I had it sized max up, and had not linked it since it would increase Li in a linkset. Now it is larger and more impressive, because I can stretch it until download weight is 1.4 again. In other cases, when an item has just a tiny bit lower download, it is a benefit to link it. Let us say the download weight is 0.8 before this change from LL. 0.8 + 0.8 = 1.6, the combined download weight is 1.6, and I have gained nothing. 1.6 is rounded up to 2. What if the 0.8 download weight objects have 0.7 now? 0.7 + 0.7 = 1.4, and two 1 Li items have a combined download weight of 1.4. It is rounded down to 1 Li. The example here is for mesh objects that has a server value of 0.5 when we look at "More info" in advanced edit. Lots of decorative small items have this value. Physics cost is a third thing that decide what happens with Li, but I do not go into it now... I don't have time to write so much. I just link to this post in the Linden Homes forum. It is often discussed how to link items so we can get optimal use of 371 Li. I apologize for eventual mistakes and bad explaining, English isn't my #1 language.
  7. @Rya Nitely I have bought plants from Reid Parkin inworld, from the Marketplace, and got some included with builds (From Maya's and more). I have controlled the Marketplace purchases. I can not be sure where I got the other plants that has Reid Parkin as creator, they could be edited. Stepping stones: All 1 Li except the longest one that's 2 Li. Same as MP listing. Daisies pack: All correct, 1 and 2 Li as listed. Rocks brown pack: MP lists Li 1-2 for single and clumps. All are 1 Li, so here 1 Li went down for at least one clump. Climbing Rose pack white: MP lists 1-3 Li and archs 7 Li. The archs are 4 Li and 6 Li for the linked one - 1 Li down. The climbers (not archs) are 1-3 Li as listed. Rose Bush pack: 1 Li each bush as listed on MP. Wild Bushes pack: All one Li, as listed. Geranium hardy white: All one Li, as listed. Hibiscus tall yellow: 1-4 Li, as listed. Climbing Ivy pack: All 1 Li, except the Tall size. Same as MP listing. Hanging Vines long: All are 1 Li as listed. Red blossom Vine: All parts 1 Li as listed, also the long fence. ----------------------- So this did not increase in Li, instead 2 items dropped 1 Li.
  8. I can rez what I have of yours when I log in. I do not have your stuff out in the garden now, but I have in my inventory.
  9. Great idea! Are creators/store owners aware of this? Those who sell big items like houses, will have an advantage over those who do not update their listings. I have not yet found a house that is 100 Li lower than before, but I have found houses that have lost over 50 Li, like 60-70 Li. It is a bit difficult to calculate the Hisa house "Hacienda la Valeta" since it is rezzed in several parts, due to the maximum prims a linkset can have. The "Magicae" house from Scarlet Creative is also rezzed in parts. I sort Land impact low-high when I shop. Land is my biggest expense in SL, and when a house drop in Li, it is more attractive to buy. It makes me able to have more items on the land than before.
  10. It will be a massive job for creators, to upgrade all sale posters and marketplace ads. They will need time... Many will probably not catch up in months, years, maybe never if they only have a Marketplace store. I hope customers will not go back and complain that the land impact is lower than advertised!! 😂
  11. Laguna Bend house - from 202 Li to 168 Li. 🥰 When I first read about it, I had to check that it wasn't April 1th! I have linked a lot of things in sets, so it is really difficult to find exact out how much they gone down. But my Voda pool gazebo (From Kraftwork) has gone from 48 to 40 Li. A planter was 4 Li and it has gone down to 3 Li. Another thing is the Apple Fall boxwood urn. I had stretched so download was 1.4. And now the download went down to 1.1, and it means I can stretch it more, without Li increase. It is bigger and more impressive now, and it have the same Li.
  12. The bigger and more complex items go down quite noticeable. Laguna Bend house - from 202 Li to 168 Li. I live om Mainland now, so I can see that big things with Li goes down more than small things.
  13. I had already linked so much, but I found some larger items; like the Voda pool gazebo from Kraftwork went from 48 Li to 40 Li. That is noticeable. I also checked trees and plants. I usually stretch trees as much as I can. My Skye twisted tree was 6.2 download now, I am sure it has gone down from 7 or 8 Li. A HPMD tree is 7.6 Li now, and it means It can be stretched bigger until it reach 8.4 download, or I can shrink it just a bit, and get it to 7.4 - and save one Li. I would not have left a tree with download 7.6 - no way. A planter I am 100% sure was 4 Li, is now 3 Li. So many of my potted plants have lost some in download, even if the Li is not down. The Apple Fall Boxwood urn is 1.1 download now. I am sure I would have stretched it to 1.4 before, so it must have lost 0.3 in download. Even if an object do not do down in Li, the download can have gone down. It means that the plant can be stretched more, you get bigger trees and potted plants, or sized them down, without looking noticeable smaller.
  14. I think it is too much to demand that LL should be acting to reports of low skyboxes the second they recieve it. In the whole Bellisseria, how many low skyboxes is it? Bellisseria: 1800 regions. https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:New_Linden_Homes_2019 There must be way over 2000 regions now. But let us say 2000 regions, it ia a nice, round number. 2000 regions and ca. 20 homes in each region. One of 40 000 residents has a low skybox. Even if it is a dozen low skyboxes there, the number in percentage is small, and the Moles take care of them as fast as they can. But it can take a week, and stubborn people can put the skybox back. It is still a low number. People will give up after they got it returned a couple times.
  15. Asking people to adjust their camera position manually will not work. Most avatars will find it too much hassle, even if you give them notecars with step-by-step. If an experience changes it, it would work, but then angry people would complain and be afraid/angry you changed it permanently. I had been in SL for many years, I think at least 5 years (probably more), before I first heard about adjusting camera position. I was very exited when I heard about it, and changed it to the recommended numbers. It was too late for me. The SL camera position is the only one that feels "right" to me. If MMO camera position was in place from my start in SL, it would have been natural for me. But it was not, and after so many years, I doubt LL will change it. People can complain about it, but things are as they are. I would say that using 1:1 scale is very difficult. SL was not made for it. I have found it a lost cause to try and be my RL size in SL. I have made a compromize, my avatar is an RL supermodel in size. I am 4'45 in RL, 6'1-6'2 in SL, and furniture fit me much better. At least furniture from the stores I shop in. I would suggest a scale of 1:2 or at least 1:1, but raise the ceiling so the default camera can work in the buildings.
  16. The bank does not care if a teen buys a hoodie with: "Officer, I drop kicked that kid in self defence" or if they pay for game tokens - that is Lindens. As soon as the bank got the paper work from us parents and the Visa Debet card was set up and ready, the bank only cares about money laundering/fraud transactions. Not if it is an age limit on the game they buy tokens from. How can they control every single transaction? And how can LLhave time to control that every card belongs to an adult? They barely have people enough to handle abuse reports. Will LL even have access to bank information without a good reason, like crimes that can be legally persecuted?
  17. So is "BBB Users Group" what people refer to when they say "I got in easy and it is a big group?" And is it another group named BBB for the leaders? It is only 20 persons and closed for the public?
  18. I usually see 0-2 dots on the map (In the region), in the places I live on Mainland. That is not all the time, they are there on and off. It is in the houses that is taken care of. The houses where there are outdoor decorations, a garden/yard that they have spent time and planted trees and have outdoor furniture. And with furnished houses. I lived in Bellisseria for 4 years, and the number of avatars vary a lot. From 10 and more when the region is new, and it trickle down to 0-5. I live in Europe, so I belive it matters. I would say the ideal is no more than 5.
  19. A couple of days ago I posted pictures in a wrong thread and removed them. But I have changed so much in the garden since then. I mentioned that I copied the stair up to the front door so I could elevate the house and garden with prims. This is so I can have a pool. The pool is no more than hip deep after I edited it, but it is the look that matters. This is in Horizons, no terraforming allowed. It is two 1024 m plots with double prims. The plots are shifted 2-3 m, they are not lined up 100%, but I think it is charming. It is protected land on all sides. The hill behind the garden is protected land, it is protected land on both sides of the house, water on the edge and road in front. In the 4th and 5th picture, can you see how the garden wall bend and follow the parcel lines. (To the left in the pictures.) The garden wall hides the edges of the base prims. The wood in the garden wall is not matching the wood shutters and detail on the house, so it is tinted. It was hard to get a match, I am going back and tweaking, tweaking. I had a kid's pool where it is a massage table now. I do not have kids in SL, so I thought why have a pool for kids? I don't know if I ever get furniture in the house, I go in the garden and change things all the time. (And now I see that I must edit the pool a bit, so it is aligned with the pavillion! ) The garden is never finished. Plenty pictures. I took two in daylight, so it is easier to see what is there.
  20. Where are the texture for the LL grass ground in Horizons?
  21. I would have empty parcels. I do not understand why Bay City and those parcels have double prims and the same tier. I think LL should be careful with their prices now. It is not free game, unless one will use only freebies and live in sandboxes. Look at those regions, it is 1024 parcels, but also 2048 and 4096. (More than one parcel together). I just rented 2048, it is 2 / 1024 parcels. With 1406 Li. LL also has water between, roads, some protected land and communal builds. It is no covenant. It can be huge stores, small cottages, 64 m prims, anything goes. It was "said" to be a theme, but no Linden or Mole ever enforced it. Mainland 2.0 could be the same, with just a few rules. No sky build under x height, nothing on ground taller than x. I think it should be free to have stores, private homes, airports, GTF, tents, anything inside the height restrictions. Bellisseria is a bit tame.
  22. New Mainland need fixed parcels. It is the cutting of parcels that ruin old Mainland. I wish LL would build some new Mainland with rules, but I am afraid they will price it so high that I can not afford it. PremiumPlus is simply too expensive, the amount of land should be at least 4096 m without tier. Price for ordinary mainland (buy and tier) is already more than enough.
  23. Yes, but no sailable water... That is what Blake Sea is all about, yes? I tricked with draw distance so the neighbor wasn't visible. I used 124 m dd, so they aren't very close. But those who move to this region do not use high flat privacy plates, so it is mainland of the better kind. It is a 100% water region.
  24. I have not posted in a long time, because I had nothing new to show. But I put up a Trompe Loeil house instead of the Roost house I had. I am going for a minimal landscaping here instead of building up mesh land. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Trompe-Loeil-Jura-Waterfront-Cottage-mesh/23961720 The base comes with the house and I added some palms and also rocks from Skye. And the lighthouse and outsim dolphins stay on this plot as long as I rent it, along with the seagulls from ee Oh. Living with void water on two sides, I can go all the way out with offsim decor. The boats are decor, since void water is not sailable. I can pick up the boats if I need more Li for furniture, but I have not finished the inside. I am using a pool physics box set to transparent so I do not sink to the bottom. That is 0.5 li at max size 64x64, same size as my land. I have some reef texture under and also some sand banks. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/05-LI-full-perm-Pool-Physics-Box-mesh-any-texture/4127420 The land goes from the cormorants to the sand bank with a sail and old boat. The pier is something I made myself. It is bigger than the original. Maybe too big, I might shrink it.
