One more outdoor. I added a bit of sand so the alligator can sunbathe. I have 3 seagulls, one cast a shadow over the house in case you wonder what that is. Tree to the right is a mangrove tree.

I am not working fast because I change my mind all the time, about what house to set up. This thread does not make it easier, because I see what others have done and want to change to their look, lol. I first put up Santiago but changed my mind.... still not sure if I go back to it, and then maybe Tortuga is even better in some stylings here... But today I had this look from the outside.

Oh no, my Premium alt can see OL, OW and Pier. If it was an abandoned OW, it should be picked up when the page is refreshed. And refreshed again after 5 minutes.... But all 3 types are on the page the same time. 30 hours ago, 20 hours ago, 2 hours ago. With all the excitement about these houses, I don't believe people abandon OW and Pier every time of the day, so the home page has one of each type no matter when I click. She expires soon, so I do not bother to get her a house. It is a good time to pick up a Stilt house. Those who think they missed it the 23th, can jump in now.

It is no sign of the drizzle of new houses stopping, and we are well into Christmas now? The houses came steady all night between Dec. 24 and 25th. I checked now, early Christmas morning SL time. I believe it goes much smoother now than Patch's last update, and they decided to let it run?

I read the first as you said Lelutka gave out an inferior head with some functions disabled compared to their full priced heads. I wanted to correct it. Then you say that both the free head and the full priced one, work the same way, but not satisfying for you. That is not the same as not working. Nobody disagree that modify is much better than no modify, but creators has sold no modify and no copy things since I began in Second Life. All we as customers can do, is stop buying no modify. I found out many years ago, that to but only modify things, would mean that I could not buy what I like and think look pretty. Everyone can look for modify heads and full permission heads and try to make them better than Lelutka or Catwa. I found out that I had neither time, nor skills like the top creators. Edited to add: Materials not working as they should? Are you sure it is not an user error? You can pick up a demo head or a free head and check how it looks when you use the HUD.

The only mod heads you describe, are some small brands or heads made by Utilizator. Paul can try other bestselling heads, to see if he can find a modify one. Catwa, Lelutka, Laq, GA.EG, the Signature head. I do not think other head counts as bestsellers, or has so beautiful skins made for them.

The biggest difference between the Real Life Stilt homes and the SL Stilt homes must be that the windows on the walls facing another house is small, or no windows at all.

Oh! I hope nobody blames LL because they have abandoned their home for a Stilt house. Sometimes sh*t just happens. People still have time to go back and snap up a Trad or Log home to have just over Christmas. It can still be solved today, but the time start to run out for a Christmas release. 😧

That's funny, because I avoid Mole hedges! Bellisseria has something for all. What I don't like, Lewis likes. It's easy to set the house to group and then you can decorate with all your things.

I am super happy that not all styles is loved by all people. It gives us less competition. I am going to use my chance on Stilt homes, until the release is gone, in hope to get a good place. But it is no sadness for me if I don't get one. I will not sit on a Linden home unless I am exited about the location. Better give it up to someone that really want one. I am actually curious to see the Chalet landscaping. It was put together very quick for the demo region, so maybe I can be surprised in a positive way. 🙂 I have a feeling that the Stilt demo region was more lush, with more trees and more variation. But no unhappy face. I can not love all regions and all styles, it is natural to have favorites. I do not feel guilty because I don't gush over 100% of the releases. I totally love some, and love some a bit less.

I could not see any molding. I looked inside the two biggest houses, and it is no doors at all. Only openings, and I believe the doors are made to fit the openings perfect. That's why there are so many different versions. No need to stretch, as long as one can move an object it is going to be easy to install doors. There are some cheap mesh creator packs on the MP, but then the doors will need to be stretched to fit in. One of the large houses has 2 huge rooms upstairs, and one of the rooms has 2 door-shaped openings. One in each end. Easy to rez only a prim wall and use the doors from the content pack. And then, 2 bedrooms or one bedroom and one bath, with minimal work and minimal build experience. If one does not bother with moldings.

Maybe I shouldn't have abandoned the one I got in Alagoon, but heck, it wasn't making me exited, so I just took the content pack and went on my way. I can be Stilt - less to 2021 if the problems continue so LL can't launch the big release. First world problem. 🤨 I would not have time to do much with it because RL takes up so much time now. So no tears. I was flying around a bit, and it is not many Pier houses. I originally wanted one of them. But Pier houses appear to be close and in line, so unless you are on an end, you get a neighbor on each side and nothing in between to give privacy. The land houses had some good locations, especially those up on the small slopes. If one want some feeling of privacy, those are it. But not many of them either. I am not sure what I should try to pick the next time there is Stilts on the page. It is the location in the region and the region itself that really matters, and open view to at least one side. That can be difficult to get. The demo region gave me a much better feeling for the Stilts than the finished ones. Or it is me who's stressed in RL and the excitement is wearing off. They are great, but SL is as RL... Location, location, location.
