  1. It is well pausible to fix. It does takes more effort than placing prim roads for sure.
  2. Luckilly the new viewer built-in feature that allows us to see the colission shape does wonders to notice these kind of things. I havent had problems with the straight sections of roads and the angles with them but mesh do seem to be less forgiving on gaps and minor diferences in height between pieces. I can agree that some vehicles are not done with ideal colission shapes to drive smoothly, as general rule vehicles needs some kind of sled or rounded shapes to be able to overcome obstacles. However, the bugs on these pieces in most cases won't be solved with linking ramps under the vehicle, there is more into it including problems with Raycast detection.
  3. There is a noticable problem with continuity. Trailer campers has been made by diferent creators, which is fine, but is extremely noticeable the differences on scale, quality and detail. It affects the look overall, in my opinion. In comparison, you don't see this problem happening with traditional houses or houseboats.
  4. Alright, lets talk about Bellisseria roads and road vehicles for a second. We all have seen nicely done boat rez zones conveniently placed around the continent. They all have reazonable space and are clearly marked to let everyone know you can rez your water vehicle there. We have also seen couple air strips appearing in the area, each one with their own dedicated rez zone for aircrafts (not clearly maked but atleast they are there), but lets talk about Road vehicles and road rez zones... Bellisseria has a problem with road vehicles rez zones. Current road rez zones seems to be placeholder or temporary solutions. They are all currenly found on undeveloped regions arround the developed areas, nothing in between. They are also lacking any kind of marking to let people know of their existance. Newly developed areas seems to also not take vehicle rez zones in consideration as there is none to be found to the date of this post. I am personally hoping that these rez zones has their own space on the developers list of things to have as road vehicles are certainly important when the continent has so much space dedicated to roads alone, and a large community with big interest for road vehicles. Let's make sure they are not forgotten shall we? Is not lag, or your bad driving... the roads are actually broken. Maybe you have noticed that driving around Bellisseria is not exactly a smooth experience. You are not crazy... roads has some issues you can't really see. Bellisseria roads seems to be the first road by the LDPW made out of mesh pieces and they aren't exactly perfect. After some driving, I noticed my vehicles were pretty bouncy, specially on curves. I also had many issues with my vehicles simply refusing to move, randomly, in some areas.. just revving the engine without moving. Upon closer inspection I realized that the road custom colission shapes had various problems that caused various types of issues with the vehicles. These problems has been properly reported and we hope to see them fixed soon. More on that: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-227210 Bellisseria is a great place to take a drive! The continent is without doubt one of the top mainland areas to take a scenic drive. Let's support improvements like these to help polish that experience!
  5. Sorry, the whole idea doen't makes much sence to me. Fortunately, the moles saw earlier in the Bellisseria release, the need for public rez zones, and thankfully created these arround the continent, so there is no lack on these to feel they need to let everyone around know rez is on in this particular place, and with such an eyesore way to do it. Using one flag is likely enough for this purpose, I believe. Is curious that this phenomenon also just happens on with this particular group. I don't recall finding houses with huge flags with "drivers of sl" on the streets letting people know they can rez cars there, and there is certainly many houses owned by members of that group, and they have rez on. I don't identify myself with any group and my own parcel has 10 minute auto return as courtesy. I don't advertise it in any way. Also worth noting that there is plenty of parcels with rez zones all around, not even a rare finding. Not figthing on that if is advertisement or not. This particular case appeals more to the common sence and being contious about other's experience.
  6. It seems so. also.. the yellow flags are actually parody of the flags next door. Thats some cool home owner.
  7. I am aware of a few competitors, I woudnt say i have a monopoly myself. I do try to stay in good terms with others creators on my market, as is so small, is a good idea to simply co-exist and create each one different things.
  8. Saw this at Bellisseria Squishy Pickle. Not sure if this is good or bad, I can't tell with the current definitions. It is an eyesore in my opinion , but sadly that is not in question.
  9. I don't think any second life merchant has a logo with the weight of starbucks logo, but lets say we can scale them to the same level... You cannot possibly compare my logo to a mayor creator in sl... lets say... Roost? Noone f***g knows my brand, honestly.
  10. Intention has never been advertising, but I appreciate your wishes.
  11. In my opinion merchansts serve in various ways. Yes, they generate profit. It is an honest job, people have jobs and this is one of them. Merchants create content, this means, creates things for people to use, to enjoy, to experience. Second Life would be a really boring minecraft if there only were prims to enjoy. Not all merchants has their minds set on simply profits. There are merchants that genuinely create to enjoy themselves, be creative, be usefull, let others enjoy. They create things that are not necesarily profitable but they do it cause is needed. My business is not particularly profitable, I do believe i could generate more money if I were to make stuff everyone makes, but I don't. My aim is a smaller community that does not get many good products their way cause is not that profitable. There's everything for everything.
  12. That would be fully valid if all these groups on the SL16B were official non-profit organizations, but to my beleive, that is not the case. The SL16B is full of all kinds of groups, many relies in donations to keep lands, others usually host parties and events where they asks for tips in a way or the other. Profits are all over Second Life cause expenses are all over Second Life. I fail to see the logic here.
  13. Here is an update for all of you to see: This is just wrong as is not hard to understand that even community groups do generate profits, some actually sells products, others generate profit by donations or fundraisers.
  14. Wise words there, I totally agree with this and seems is a better example of what I was trying to bring up.
  15. A good public relationist will tell you that you are a brand and that you must sell yourself like a product. Hey, just look at lawyers... no better example there.
  16. I was told literally about couple minutes ago that landmarks are allowed to be given if something is touched to get it. I assume it doesnt matter what the landmark is for. I still have other questions tho. I don't know if i can have a sign that says to not only get the landmark if touched, but other things like group invite and link to the marketplace. That does seems like advertisement, but like you said, that used to be fine as is not an invasive or agressive way to advertise. The guidelines does makes it seem like absolutely no advertisement is allowed but certainly there has to be some level of it since they also mention people can touch as sign to get things, wich, makes it in some way an advertisement object.
  17. I wish it was that easy in my case. I have a logo on my exhibit not any more used as any other logo on the rest of the event, with the ony difference that my logo is from my store, and is not from a group. The problem there falls on that detail as the mole at first read the rules as if stores cant have a logo but groups can, but then again, there should not be any difference betwheen these two in any way, and that the mole seems was aware of. There is were my personal problem with this issue rests.
  18. Honestly, i am just hoping we all get good information regarding this matter. I am not the first nor will be the last with this same problem. Is happening on the SL16B, and will likely happen on Bellisseria as well. Belliseria is full of advertisment of all kinds. Yellow flags, drivers logos, store logos, all kinds of group elements. This can go in many directions if people starts to dig.
  19. This was handled directly with a Mole, who directly went to Linden Lab with the question. that is not what is in question here. Hipotetical I find wrong to assume that placing something in question is evidence of shady intentions. I dont mention anywhere intentions to use my Bellisseria property to advertise. And as to my reason, like mentioned before, I have an exhibit which is currently pending on an aproval cause there is lack on knowledge from the event staff, regarding the use of logos and if they are Advertisment or not, wich is what I put basicly in question here.
  20. I am actually waiting for an answer from Linden Lab related to branding on the SL16B as I am an exhibitor, and a Mole in charge of these did not have enough knowledge on the subject. And now this new post related to belisseria that specificly mentions that you cannot put anything on your parcel that advertises your brand, seems like a similar case where the specifics are actually not clear enough when it comes to ruling them. But now that you mention it, several loop holes can come to mind.. for example.. just having others to have my logo on ther parcel and not on mine. That way they have no direct business with it. I can also pay people 1 linden per day to have a flag with my logo on their boathouses. Or, create a group that i can advertise, and use it as proxy to direct people to my store.. have flags of that group instead. Of course, these are hipotetical as I have no intentions on recurring to these shameless tactics.
  21. In your specific case you are not generating money with it, but, there will be case where the person will do, and there is no pausible way to know if the person does or does not get any profit off this.
  22. Let's say the group does collects money somehow, not directly with your flag, but others will be encouraged to check that group out, teleport to a group headquarters, find a donation box, and will give them money, effectively generating revenue off your innocent flag. How is this any different from me havign my store logo, and people checking my store and purchasing something?
  23. But you can bet i'll get them some good profits only with the fees.. is a win anyhow!
  24. Giving the recent changes on Second Life server handling.... is there any reason still for this?
