Firstly, my apologies for perhaps being a bit over-dramatic with my post above. I am not a fan of Experiences, as you can tell, and I took my dislike and mistrust of them out on you to some degree and it is for that which I apologise. I don't know you, but I recognise your name and am aware that you are extremely knowledgeable within our community. The community always needs people like yourself and I recognize that you are trying to help.

I am just an ordinary, common or garden user of SL. I don't like being prompted to Accept an experience, I never Accept, but I don't want to Block Experience either as I wouldn't know how to reverse that decision if I ever wanted to. I just say No. I don't even want to be asked that question in the first place. I don't trust it, just like I wouldn't click links in an email from an unknown source or off some random website. Avoid. Depart. Leave without clicking anything. That's what I do. Wearing an attachment or not would result in the same outcome for me, but I wouldn't want that attachment in the first place. I don't want this experience. I don't see the value of it. Please don't try and explain what they are and how great they can be as I can function quite happily in SL without these experiences. Just leave me alone.

Oh dear, oh dear. Having just purchased the SnowRabbit W01X from the Skin Fair I couldn't help myself... I bought the Maitreya body for my new alt to go with it as well. It's a few months old now but I couldn't hold out any longer despite liking the Altamura a lot. I'm dropping this here because I still intend to keep the inventory levels low as I'm sticking with LaraX clothing only for this alt and intend on not going nuts on outfits (famous last words). Same old story. What starts as another alt due to the opportunities of seasonal gifts and giveaways with the intention of keeping things simple she turns into another fully fledged bells & whistles avatar. I love all my alts so it's not an issue, but the drop-down list of names at login is getting a bit cumbersome.

That Genus Morph pack just looks like an expensive attachment-eater with the extra nose, mouth and ears. Not all my outfits hit the max but many are close. Above the shoulders attachments already involve head, eyes, face-anim HUD, gobble-HUD, hair, bangs, hair clip, teeth, braces, earrings, ninny ring, nose stud, lip ring and collar (for when neck seems are perfect at the back and sides, but not at the front) doesn't leave much for the rest. Add your favourite body, including fingernails, toenails, toe rings, belly ring, ninny ring and genitals, not forgetting your full body sperm kit and associated HUDs and you're left looking like a slapper in the nudie while your clothing inventory goes to waste. Thank goodness for BoM clothing.

I'll be buying the Snow Rabbit W01X head for sure, it's just a matter of choosing which lucky alt will be the recipient. It's times like this I'm tempted to create yet another alt 😬 I notice a few grandma skins out there, which I think are great, although I won't buy. But it is sad that there are no grandpa offerings. I really want to make a nice grandpa avatar for my male alt. So tired of all the male muscles, young hunks, pretty boys and tough guy offerings out there. Again, not my style, but finally a cute kid head from Akeruka with the BabyX.

SL invites hoarding so I try to keep a check on things as I go along. All the body types I know for sure I'll never need, plus unpacker scripts, notecards, LM's, HUD pics and all the other useless content get dumped immediately before moving that new and clean folder into its desired location in my tree. On my new alt (which has an Altamura body - by choice) means my inventory won't grow anywhere close to my other accounts which all have Maitreya, but for some reason I continue to keep the Maitreya versions even though I keep telling myself this alt is for Altamura only. Maybe the LaraX subconsciously put me off another Maitreya body. All I know is all the other bodies currently around do not appeal to me at all, not one iota. On the subject of classic layers, or BoM as we now know it, having a body with only a small following and generally outdated style of clothing means that several of my recent purchases have been Bom/classic layers. There is some fine Altamura clothing still to be found but the inventory will remain much smaller.

It's always the free LeLutka head giveaways and general Xmas freebies (12-days) that prompt me to make a new account, but on my new alt of around 2 months old I didn't want to just do the same thing again and again. This time I wanted a different body from Maitreya, which I really like, but I wanted more shape to the legs where I could get a 2-hours-a-day-down-the-gym type of look, particularly for the legs. I demo'd all the usual body suspects but just like before the more modern bodies are so far from the look I'd like that they were instantly discarded I did try the Dev Nana and I liked it alot, but the almost zero clothing options available went against it. What I went for this time, after numerous goes with the free giveaways of the past, was Altamura. I've always liked the body but the head/face was never what I wanted, so I joined the group to get the discounted 'headless' BoM body at the main store costing a total of L$900. Although clothing is a bit thin on the ground it can still be found, but it is limited and takes effort. Many full-perms available so can texture myself, but on this alt I don't want or need an enormous and ever-growing inventory of clothes like before. Altamura fits SLink shoes too so plenty of options out there. Yes, it is an old body now but combined with a muscular skin it looks really, really good and I like it alot. No regrets whatsoever. I hope Altamura continue and perhaps update their bodies in the future.

I didn't want to quote your whole post because it was long, but every word (besides that around creating content) could have been written about me, but you wrote it much better than I could have. I re-read my own post above. I sound so miserable, disconnected and on the verge of suicide. I am none of those things. I guess I am somewhat selfish and introverted and just like doing my own thing. At my most comfortable, relaxed and happiest like that.

I spend lots of time alone on SL. Not trying to sound unfriendly, but I just prefer my own company. I add people daily to my Block list before they've even said a word. The lack of effort in their avatar tells me already they are not my type of person. Easier to nip it in the bud. Other people can sometimes bother me without them actually doing anything, just by being there. Occasionally I put some semi random word in the 'Places' search and see where I get taken. From time to time I discover some intriguing or new place where I can see that thought and effort has gone into its creation and I want to appreciate it by exploring. As I always have my 'Nearby' list showing I can see someone else is there too. I look at their profile. I zoom in to see the red cloud and I carry on for a bit. Then I look at them again to see if they've rezzed. They have. It's a terrible looking avatar 16 years old looking like they've had a 15 year sabbatical from the game. They're still stood standing in the same place. Haven't moved a pixel. Their presence gives me the creeps. I decide to leave. Nice place wasted. Next interesting place on the 'Places' search results here I come. My alts are my best friends.

Enter a store. Pick up a demo. Cannot open it. Leave to go to sandbox. Forget to return to store.

Right, this will NEVER happen, but .. (I know, I'm living in a cuckoo clock) What if 'Entry Detectors" (or whatever they're called) detected the body type of avatars instead of the height: - All the usual adult bodies (Maitreya, Legacy, SLink, Reborn etc. = Adult size Unable to adjust height below (incoming arbitrary number) 5'0 All children and youngster designed bodies (Tweenster, DoodleDo?) = Non-Adult size All below (another incoming arbitrary number) such as 4'11 Other (classic bodies) = Instant ban 🤣

Please, please, please .. keep to yourselves how to do this. If you do let something slip please ensure it is unfathomable.

My friend's list is tiny, fingers on one hand tiny. Reason being is that I don't like to be bothered the second I log on, I want some 'me-time' as I commonly have something in-mind that has me logging-on, such as a freebie or something interesting I saw online somewhere that I want to check-out. I don't log-on 'cos I feel horny. Also, people I know or may chat to fall into various categories based upon the venue. If I'm in that venue then chat to me, if you like. Chat to me if you see me, not just because I am online. I'd hazard a guess that the word 'friend' has a different meaning to many people as it does for me. What many refer to as friends are, at best, acquaintances. I don't particularly like my me-time being disturbed. SL is my world, my escape, my time. Don't force me to socialise.

On the subject of group tags. Why can't the current active group appear at the top of the list, above or below None, I don't care, instead of having to dig down and find it everytime.. Imagine what you could do with all those collective seconds saved during your 12 days of Christmas rounds for your numerous alts. Group hopping can be so tedious. Perhaps even ordering them in such a way so the list ignores all the silly symbols, underscores, slashes, dots and squiggles group makers think will top the list or make them stand out.
