I check my SL it appears normal on "Midday" light setting. I don't see any white, dark blue lines. I guess it is happening on your SIM perhaps certain viewer version or wind light setting.

I don't think anyone trying to push a war game they are talking about possibilities: Is it really bad thing if we had actual waves in SL water instead of static water picture. Is it bad thing if we had more synchronized user input? Is it bad thing if we had SIM wide auto optimization for texture. Is it bad thing if had some way to encrypt and store SIM (simulation / region or whatever imaginary name it has) assets on to local drive for faster loading time. Perhaps not all of them doable but some of them doable. I think problem with SL people afraid of change.. not sure why.

I heard it before in many other games this game not for anybody. Yes I understand SL contains a development platform and a social platform. But in any platform (game or virtual reality... or any fancy name you pick) you are not forced to do anything. Example in a combat oriented game you can actually get away without doing combat activity. Like herding, farming, crafting, building, or just talking people and having good time without engaging game. You are not forced to do anything. How SL different those platforms? other than offering "advanced" development tools? Any sandbox game or platform can provide lower or higher quality development tools and social interaction.

I guess it depends.. If you are experienced with programming and 3D modelling there is better alternatives exist but requires teamwork. Example: google play, apple app store, steam store you are free to pick any tool you want (unity, unreal, c#, java, c++ etc) and make your app or games. But for normal user yes SL provides nice quality sand box creation experience with objects, you can buy things from market place create "your own SIM" It is decent sandbox creation game I guess

You need think outside box.. SL might provide a marketplace but many platforms actually provides money if you know how to do. I am not sure what you are arguing about but I have to make a correction about my current favorite game Game not forcing you anything. You can ignore everything and build a wizard tower (not a viking concept) or.. gigantic farm. Thanks to this topic I am actually interested in Roblox From my perspective both platforms aims same thing.. they provide tools and platform you make your own product and they take commission for their service. If your product enjoyable it brings more player everyone wins.. I can't see any difference other than Roblox targeting younger audience while SL targeting (I am not sure but most people I meet in SL around 30+ age, perhaps I am wrong and I didn't meet enough people) middle age and elderly audience.

In SL every creator doing max quality 1024x1024 or 2048x2048 this is not a optimized way. This outcome normal for a non coordinated virtual platform. Inside computer games designer usually uses suitable textures for their model 256x256 512x512 1024x1024 etc... design based on visibility. Example: things player often see in high detail, things player rarely see or not worth noticing low detail. Another thing.. games usually uses assets from local drive while SL using server assets and it takes some time to download all assets (called "rez" i think).

Nowadays bots doing same thing in crowded SIMs so people will most likely not pay anything.

High expectations with little infrastructure. Firstly I am sorry if I sound like negative talker.. You don't have to be a programmer figure out SL infrastructure constantly collapsing and requiring assistance Examples: Marketplace often offline, L$ payment infrastructure offline average 1 times in a month, login server constantly struggling and rejecting login. Before setting their eyes on horizon they need to fix important (most important one marketplace and L$ payment failures) infrastructure, expanding with this infrastructure most likely result with a disaster IMO.

It depends how you are using your bot.. if your bot going groups does not belong to you and posting advertisement etc.. yes LL blocks it after multiple AR. But give them more than 9 hours if you are not premium it might take around 1 week to get answer. They can clarify what went wrong. We are using 2 bots in our SL business it informs costumers that short of thing.. none of them banned so far

We had a hosting service on a company called OVH they had a major incident, the fire declared in the building we had paid backup option but turns out they backup files at same location so backups also destroyed. Based on my experience I am suggesting, any service such as digital ocean, google cloud computing, azure, aws etc.. you can set up any OS and any panel you like.. you can send database backups your local drive (or any location you trust) via FTP and crone job. No matter how famous it is always take your own external backups and don't trust service backup. Because when disaster happen they are legally covered and you have no claims even if you are using paid backup service. Here is final state of our servers:

Doable but it will not reliable SIM will restart you have to figure out many workarounds because your in SL service unavailable during restart also some functions sometimes do not work as intended (example llemail). A external database far more reliable than company service (SL or.. database hosting company or API for accessing database... you name it). Sadly I have experienced it and burned few times. Most reliable method your own server your own database backups and you can rest easy knowing everything safe with external HDD

Did you try asking help in their group? Voodoo have a IP check system if multiple users using voodoo from same IP it will ban all avatars. They have also different rules for their games I suggest checking manual if they provide any.

Clone like looking animals does not require alteration in their genes I believe they are perfect match for their current environment they don't need any further alteration until conditions change. Cats does not have much alteration.. their interaction with humans shaped them already they are smaller from their base size and does not posses strong jaws but they still retain their quick reflexes and speed from their ancestors (Jaguar, cheetah and similar cat family.) Dogs have many variants not only color but also skin and skeletal system some of them considered arguably have failed genetic combination and having hard time while breathing. Their jaws and leg size seems changed based on their genes. They are far being from clone. Some of them have to run very long time while others does not require it Some of them require stronger jaws for their food source. It appears some species have to alter their genes to adapt environment and condition but takes very long time (based on human time perspective).

After restriction he used same payment account on all avatars and all of them banned lol I guess LL fishing for these people and he got the bait.
