  1. I still don't understand why people argue about it. 2FA usually optional in everywhere (google, digital ocean, amazon) you can turn it off if you don't like it.. Is there a specific reason for not wanting it? It is useful for some people.
  2. Shower always.. bath using too much water and not practical
  3. You do pay more compared to other countries. Stream have fixed exchange ratio values for some countries (and different exchange ratios for countries). If I send (gift) a game some one in EU they will have it at low price. TBH not sure this related with taxes. https://steamdb.info/app/1222670/ Game price tag 4,79€ in EU. Turkish price tag ₺33,59. (1€ = ₺9,66) Real value of game in Turkish Lira ₺160,89 For your example lets compare it to USA 4,79€ = $4.79 you are still paying more because € and $ not equal. Games still subject to tax with no fixed exchange values with their in game currency and in game market. If you check in game cash shops they will charge you more than other countries because of taxes.
  4. I suffer from exchange rates also.. This is how Skrill handled exchange rate: I withdraw money from LL first USD converted to EU and EU converted to my local currency. You are actually lucky if you are in EU Lol.. Not sure how they handle it while purchasing L$. Luckily they are no longer active in my country so LL pull their service and working on a alternative (so far better). They took my USD 80 and gone silent after blocking account.
  5. It is possible I think you can block text input from a user if you are moderator. They can still see chat but can't write. But I think your problem related with chat problem.. I can see chat messages but my friend can't see.
  6. I know some people hate it but i think it is necessary.. Especially you are holding L$ in your account and have to pay expenses. Having a 2FA puts your mind a little ease against keylogger etc... This must be optional for the people who needs it.
  7. I am still not sure if we are allowed to do it.. Even estate company does not know But.. i don't see any problem for LL.. It is like purchasing a SL service from a third party provider. If estate rental includes paypal etc.. in their website I am okay with it. Not sure if it is allowed. Besides it is more secure than paying L$ (charge back if things goes awkward).
  8. This is not related with SL. Same thing exist in steam and google play. This is what they should do they comply with your country's law. They provide a service and your country includes a tax.. asking for a discount because your country demands high tax.. kinda strange. You are getting service in your country for the tax you are paying for (Health, Unemployment, Pension, Care care etc..).
  9. I am not sure why people doing it.. but my friends in SL usually buys L$ when they see something they like.. clothing, skin, hair etc. Personal observation they usually have L$ under 100. They only buy L$ when they need something and they buy around required amount and.. most of them homeless no premium
  10. It is politics government does not want imports from China.. so they apply fixed taxes for every single item.. even cheap ones. Asking company send item via envelope and paying with bitcoin seems only solution LOL.. Is it legal? No.. but its a remedy for annoying politics.
  11. It has it uses I think. Sometimes our government problematic.. brings up ridiculous amount of paper work or absurd taxing (20 USD tax for 1 USD item).. Cyrpto thingy a workaround for those minor annoyances IMO.
  12. You need a stream with Auto DJ function I believe.. those streams can play mp3 files (you can upload mp3 with website.) and it will play mp3 with loop. Ask stream owner if they have auto DJ (upload and auto play mp3 files feature). Or you can keep your computer open and stream it yourself via DJ software. If you are looking for just music but you don't want to stream yourself.. you can find a list here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Music_streams (not sure if its up to date.) You can also visit SIMs related with music and check if their stream address open to everyone.. you can use their adress in your parcel / SIM if you like their music.
  13. I am not saying anything against LL fees / commission.. ofc they will take commission for their platform even if they provide or not provide any improvement.. its how business works. I am simply showing your personal preference does not reflect reality. Unless you are doing it as hobby and not expecting any income. Market place already enough competitive with those "subjective preferences (ads)" there is not much any designer can do without ads, their product will be buried in marketplace and only discovered by a few lucky residents.
  14. There is more than LL's commission paypal (or skrill) and government taxes also you will probably use marketplace and probably have a SIM for your store. 27 USD market place AD fee (monthly calculated with L$ 240 / USD 1) for per product, marketplace sale 10% commission per sale. 120 USD sim rental (Homestead SIM monthly). Selling L$ in lindex 3.50% fee. Transferring funds to your account USD 5 + 5% (Tilia) + 2% (or 4% paypal skrill commission more if you are not in USA due exchange ratio) + 15% government income fee (might be different for you). Here I made a summary for you
  15. You can do it in theory.. I mean no one going to stop you if you decide sell L$ for some other currency in RL (silently). But LL will block account if they notice you are making L$ transfers for no apparent reason 😛 The way LL wants it sell your L$ (aka TOS) via Tillia cash out with USD. They make income from L$ sales and purchases.
  16. I have a question but I am afraid to ask Because I don't understand LL ToS and I don't understand alternate currency in SL. I provide stream rental service in SL for this service I have a homestead (only needed for rental scripts). I am thinking moving entire business to web with PHP interface.. close homestead and provide same service with pay pal payment. Costumer wins, I win. But my question am I allowed to do this?
  17. I usually check traffic also visit place my self see if its bot traffic or actual players. I am not sure what is best place.. it depends.. Adult content have different places to advertise.. Music and DJ's usually using different places (usually club's or stream service's rental boards).. I have see a few "Looking for work / Hiring ..." advertisement locations. From what I experienced different places have their own advertisement categories.
  18. SL often requires external services for database hosting, stream hosting, sometimes external website hosting for some services. It is only reliable way to provide grid wide service. External services cost money. It is not luxury but necessity SL does not have build in database function or streaming service. Edit: Probably I misunderstood your post.. I am talking about content creators. Please ignore this post.
  19. Same. Tired of dealing random estate owners. I prefer get a premium if LL can give us "homestead without SIM" option.
  20. Then they should prevent misuse all together: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technical_limitation Preventing software misuse usually software designers (UI designer's) job. UI designer usually limits UI based on software limitation and build UI based on this limitation so user can't abuse anything. Ofc.. if you want keep your support center busy 7/24 you can ignore this step Note: I am not criticizing LL but they already know when something problematic people will abuse it. This is why LSL have so many safety throttle (HTTP request limit, IM sleep, llEmail sleep. etc.), they probably have their own reasons about group chat.
  21. Nowadays only using Cologne with 80% alcohol ratio due covid. It will remove any other scent I have so I don't bother with perfume. When it returns normal.. I will pick random perfume from demo and try it all I admit I am using mini perfume demos not paying for it
  22. I did some "googling" to understand existence of royal family (trying learn, understand) found a source not sure if it is legit. https://www.royal.uk/role-monarchy "In a monarchy, a king or queen is Head of State. The British Monarchy is known as a constitutional monarchy. This means that, while The Sovereign is Head of State, the ability to make and pass legislation resides with an elected Parliament. Although The Sovereign no longer has a political or executive role, he or she continues to play an important part in the life of the nation. As Head of State, The Monarch undertakes constitutional and representational duties which have developed over one thousand years of history. In addition to these State duties, The Monarch has a less formal role as 'Head of Nation'. The Sovereign acts as a focus for national identity, unity and pride; gives a sense of stability and continuity; officially recognises success and excellence; and supports the ideal of voluntary service." Too much complicated for me, I'll show myself out.
