  1. Aside from gashing about Wardrobe. Catznip viewer will display a preview of a texture inside a folder, if you hover your cursor over said folder. Helps browsing the inventory quite a bit.
  2. I am doing similar thing, only difference being I have several poses in my stand. The all are similar standing modeling poses, but some work better with different items. (Heels, you might want some good walking-but-not-really poses for them). I've seen some people just upload vendor pictures to their Wardrobe... and it does speed up things, but for me seeing how the item really looks (unedited, not cropped out of the picture if it dares to cover my knees) is worth that extra step. What I haven't done yet, but should is putting my bodyparts neatly in (nostrip) folder and then moving outfits to the Wardrobe. Should make my life just a little more comfortable. added: Here's another example, aside from heels. Middle one has interesting sleeves. Hey, let's use different pose for once so sleepy dum-dum me will notice it next time!
  3. Pass. You are welcome to continue your search for sugar mom elsewhere. 🤣
  4. Speaking of free (or almost free) bodies for new users, has anyone compared Lucybody to Sweet's Ruth? Does Lucybody have any advantages over that one?
  5. I use it, a lot. It is my current go-to when it comes to anything wearables from mesh body parts, physics and such to clothes, to cute little scripted "spells" I have for role play purposes. It is great for visual person, has good navigation through tags. You will have to set your tags yourself and maintain the system, but it is waaay more rewarding than doing the same with just SL inventory and list of folders. Workflow is meh, nothing spectacular, you still have to do most things by hand one item at the time. There's some bulk editing features that make life a little easier. It makes use of RLV, so basic understanding of how to set up RLV folders is needed. Haven't yet encountered any hidden additional costs. It has addon you can buy separately - looked into it, it is more like a toy / quality of life update you might want rather than something you would need. It seem to have some trouble sorting BOM layers in the right order. Which might be a big deal or nah depending on how often you change your BOM layers. I don't think it would work well with non-wearables. Main function of Wardrobe is to let you see your items and then put them on or off yourself. These are tutorials I watched when choosing if I want to buy or not.
  6. Would understand if that would be directed at Legacy body creators. But what TMP situation has to do with Inthium? Two very different groups of creators, no? I am so confused.
  7. Left one closely followed by middle one. In my humble opinion middle one could be improved if you increase nose bridge width just a little bit. But then again, it is a matter of personal taste. 🙃
  8. Background looks very busy and draws attention away from the avatar. You got posing and camera angles work for your benefit. Try looking into tutorials on lighting and possibly projectors - there are many in form of blog posts and youtube videos. Smart lighting really takes pictures on the next level.
  9. Situation I immediately remembered is landing in an info hub on login (as my home region was offline) and seeing a bunch of bots on top of each other. Two of them had lengthy role play conversation. I was intrigued enough to stay and listen. It looked like the triggers were finding a new avatar in proximity (both greeted me) or hearing anything in local. The latter produced random Sci-fi/starfleet related piece of banter.
  10. Sorting the folder with all my Christmas decorations. I know I will need them soon!
  11. This is actually a skin and not a body! Look at the category it is listed under - up top on the marketplace page: If you are into thicker shapes, I would suggest taking a look at Kupra. You can grab a free demo here: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/INITHIUM-KUPRA-HD-BOM-V014-Demo/20582053 And check the threads Echelon linked, those have good info in them.
  12. I'd move to a different platform and would be grumpy for a while. Not that I really need my avatar to have legs or any other specific body part, but underlying reasons are yikes. I don't appreciate this kind of censorship.
  13. Appliers are nifty little scripted items that are used for applying textures. Like skin texture on your body or lipstick on your head. (There's also another way to apply textures on your avatar called Bakes On Mesh or BOM). If you are not sure what you are looking at, it's good to try a free demo of that item first.
  14. Yeah, I could see it in another dystopian young adult novel. But to me it mostly sounds like a playful nod to the early days of console gaming. Remember having multiple lives? It is clever wordplay either way.
  15. Christmas music playing in a café. We haven't even reached middle of November yet! We don't even celebrate Christmas in this country!!!
  16. First impressions: cute, creative. Probably low on performance impact, which is a reasonable choice for a business person. Also I am partial because I like cats. :3 Would I want to do business or not would depend on your portfolio, this cute kitty avatar would have no impact on my decision making. Neither would a human avi.
  17. A bit too early for snow, but I had to check Snowdrops (it's beautiful).
  18. Also could be one or more onions layers (that are still there even if you don't use them) set to alpha blending and glitching out with the hair. I haven't poked around Genus HUD for a while, but try to see in it if you can turn hairbase and/or tattoo layers of the head off or set it to alpha masking.
  19. Taking my work shoes off and cuddling up with my cats. People giving me food or making a cup of tea for me (it's cold here in RL).
  20. Destinations and "Hot now" (or whatever it is called) tab under it meant to help finding where people are now. There are a few music venues and hangouts that have quite a few people around the clock. If I want to check a place on a sleepless night (my TZ is SLT+11, so Europe), I found that putting operating time in the landmark name helps me to remember. I have a folder with lms like "Interesting club, 4-10pm SLT". Joining their group and getting notices doesn't help at all, I just get irritated when I log on and see bunch of events I have missed. And omg yes. My ex had a collie, and the dog was herding us and our guests all the time. You could see his anxiety if people were in different rooms he couldn't observe at the same time and rlthe sense of relief and happiness dog had when we all were clustered neatly. It was adorable.
  21. Here's two reasons why my friends who recently checked out SL and were really intrigued by the concept didn't stay: - one hated controls and couldn't remap them easily, and generally was overwhelmed by preferences menu; - other had difficulty finding places to shop and hangout and lost interest before I was able rush in to help.
  22. Hello! Nice to meet you and welcome back! I actually used your mesh cubes before I could make my own. Made a shell to color inside walls of my linden home (we have a whole new continent with new and shiny linden homes if you feel like exploring) out of them, and then a temporary skybox. Was fun playing with them!
  23. I gave up on using folder system for my wearables and moved it all into CTS Wardrobe. It has images so I don't need to remember how exactly this pair of jeans was called. It has rating system, so if I want to look through my favorites, I can. And most importantly it uses tags, so I can tag something a dress, a top and a sweater simultaneously... because you know how it is with those knits. And when I will be looking in either of those categories, it will show up.
  24. Not really. Not for me at least. My brain "reads" avatars in the similar way it does the clothes people would choose to wear in real life. I might draw conclusions based on what the person is wearing, but it wouldn't make me question if they are human for real or not. I've met both wonderful and absolutely awful people wearing all kinds of avatars. Wear both human and non-human forms myself. And feel most comfortable in crowds where different kinds of avatars (shapes, sizes, species, genders, whatever) can mix freely together.
  25. So how much time do you spend wearing clothes? XD And by this I mean - does clothes compatability matters to you much? Take a look at Ebody Reborn and Kalhene Erika. Signature Alice was praised at the time it came out but didn't pick up designers support. Slink updated to BOM awhile back. Belezza recently updated as well. Super-curvy bodies are on the rise at the moment, but grab the demos and see which ones let you get to desired shape.
