Are you afraid of the future?
Silent Mistwalker replied to Tama Suki's topic in General Discussion Forum
History is written by the victors. Who writes it when there has been no war? 😉 -
See? I'm so dumb I never know what I'm talking about. 🤭

Saturation -- Too many events -- Survey of sorts

I stopped doing events when they started charging for the hunt gifts. That was what, 10 - 12 years ago. -
Are you afraid of the future?

Humans tend to need to learn to crawl before they can learn to walk. -
The purpose of sending a copy of your ID to regain an account is not the same purpose as age verification. You aren't verifying your age. You are confirming you are who you claim to be. So yes, if you can't answer any of the questions they may ask to help verify, sending a copy of your ID will be the only recourse.

Sometimes you need to dig deeper. I don't disagree but this kind of thing was going on long before there was any such thing as imperialism. Lots of sacred sites in the middle East have been completely destroyed in recent years. Imperialism wasn't the cause. Religious fanaticism was. It all boils down to [some] humans lacking empathy and compassion.

It might be a footnote to you, but it is a scared place to the indigenous peoples of the US that was defaced against our will. That sacredness of the place will not change but the beauty and serenity of the mountain, which are an integral part of its sacredness, are forever lost. Imperialism my ass, it was humans.

You don't necessarily have to provide a copy of your ID. There are other questions they can and will ask like name 3 people on your contacts list that will confirm you as you. Been there, done that, got the account back.

We haven't learned that lesson in the past 50,000 years or so. I doubt we will learn it by then, if ever. -

What good is Earth history going to do them on an alien world? None. They are creating their own history that only has its origins on Earth and will never involve Earth. They will be completely on their own, no support or rescue from Earth because it won't exist (yet). It can't because humans wouldn't have made it that far. We won't have outposts established until we build them. -

Don't forget: https://www.history.com/topics/world-war-ii/japanese-american-relocation They don't' even accept those who were already here. https://www.history.com/topics/native-american-history/trail-of-tears Plenty more where those came from. -
Are you afraid of the future?

There never was an era where the US saw space as a "new frontier", it's always been about money profit. That is what every "new frontier" has always been about and always will be about. Conquest = profit. Humanity's greatest enemy is itself. -
You mean 'inworld' exchange rates and not international exchange rates for currencies then? If your answer is yes, then I apologize for misunderstanding. I'm used to people meaning international exchange rates for currencies when they say "exchange rates". Like going to a bank in the Netherlands to exchange US dollars for Euros or, before Euros existed, guilders. Or going to a bank in the US and exchanging Euros for USD. Or are we both now completely confused? 😆

Ah so you are trying to throw the blame on me for posting an image that shows England has invaded all but 22 countries, for various reasons, in reply to someone else, yet you have no understanding of what my point was and, by your own admission, are not interested in understanding. That concludes this 'conversation'.
