  1. Oh it is a little necro'd isn't it? Well, I never saw it before, or the mention, so thanks!
  2. started as elf (2006) annnd still an elf in spirit (today) although usually the ears are under hair
  3. I've met more people at Japan Tempura by far, than anywhere else in SL. There are always people who want to talk there, and all types. Just hop on a tai chi ball, and if there isn't chatter in local, it doesn't take long for an IM. I guess it really depends what sort of venue you prefer. I never seem to make friends at clubs.
  4. Your Overt, Unwavering Noobness = GREAT! hmm finally read back to origins of this in the thread and I guess I'm doing it wrong. *goes with it anyway*
  5. Enterprising Vampire Eventually Nibbled SUSHI
  6. Well, I've read through the thread, and I'm really quite grateful for the first few pages. I try to always be positive and never a downer to people I talk to in SL, because the one single time I brought up depression in a conversation, the person was infuriated and insisted depression is a choice, that if I'm depressed, I choose to be. This really hurt, and still does, and makes me afraid to ever bring it up. Ashamed. Not feeling so alone in it helps so much, so I thank all who have written meaningful things, and also those sharing things that bring a smile! Smiling and laughter really is wonderful medicine, even if we only do it on the inside. I am not, and never will be, to a point I wish I wasn't alive, I actually love life. At least I've convinced myself I do. It just feels very empty and pointless a majority of the time, like I'm always doing it wrong, but unable to change anything. Basically a failure at it. Thank you to the OP, who had the guts to say how a lot of people feel, in their own unique ways. I hope the thread will keep going in a positive or informative way, because for some of us, SL is the only place we have to communicate, express ourselves, and get a glimpse into how other people feel. Particularly entering the holiday season being alone. The shame is so deep in me, looking at the submit reply button, or clear the post.. That's how it is!
  7. Thank you!The wall decal made me think of where the wild things are, a place to escape into a dream as I drift off. The decal was a full perm off a random MP store though, didn't know Trompe also had it. Edit: linkie https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Out-of-Wall-Space-View-Wall-Decal-Full-Perm/18137469
  8. I've decided to keep both of my traditionals. The one on Sario was never in any doubt, but the Nicholasville one was a happy accident, and there's just no way I can give it up now. Since they are keepers, I'll post them here. I'm quite content with how they turned out. I never really change anything once I set up. A few pics of each: Sario, my Katmandu used so much prim allowance outside, there was about half left for inside, so it's not as full as I'd like in other rooms, but bedroom is my favorite. Now for the stepchild house, Sunshine Shack sorry for picture spam, took a lot more than this, lol
  9. I personally am not going to make my own micro-climate, just some lights and a wreath is enough for me, but for those who must have snow, [DDD] makes a very affordable snow dust ground cover that has alpha edging, easy to stretch and modify, and also includes a few drifts. Using stuff like that looks way better than a ground prim.. and a very very light gray tint on it softens the jarring contrast with everything else around it.
  10. When I think things can't possibly get any better.. they do. I'm so appreciative we're able to see the stages of development, too. That rocks!
  11. The mailbox in the front of the house outside the parcel, you have 4 styles to select from that you can change any time you like. Just click the mailbox for the menu.
  12. Going way back here, but BIG Boots used to be everywhere in SL.. It was definitely a fad, and one I still think is kinda cool. This is from one of sandi Mexicola's videos, she has some great captures of that era on her channel.
  13. I think I'm your neighbor, and I'm really struggling with keeping it.. I didn't want such a cute parcel, was only window shopping! LOL.. But the spot is so adorable, landscape, park across the street.. Can't let it go just yet.. But the alt there was my designated beach camper person, and I love the Sario traditional my main has.
  14. My guess is, that if my theory about elevation change markers is right, those markers along the top would be in front of clifftop or hillside homes, overlooking the valley or river canyon below *swoons* I can almost picture how it'd look. Gawd I can't wait to see what it'll be in person. Have a hunch It'll be late Jan to Feb, til that happens.
  15. Huney Hosses fur rent! Re-purposed the re-purposed horse trailer back to it's original purpose Horse rezzer in front, if anyone would like to ride through the campgrounds who doesn't have their own. Yes, the trailer got modded inside, half for horses, half for human sleeping! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Huney Junction/60/50/42
  16. I know this isn't a first, but it is for me! All 3 at once, was a sight to behold. Alt will camp out on the lake over the weekend, she nabbed a nice little spot on Huney Junction, and would go to jail if she left. I'm just travelling waiting on a beach camper, seeing what I get in the meantime.
  17. Ghost train, took it back to the twilight zone. Spookeh.
  18. some new regions not on the world map yet in the south.. this area on SSPE342 looks like maybe a tunnel going there? Could just be a canyon (also cool) but a tunnel.. wow!
  19. It seems like too obvious to be a "hint" but then I checked the background of the picture while enlarged, and it does seem to be a neighborhood of homes that don't look like current trads, although they're mostly obstructed by trees. I was really hoping for something a lot different from current, but victorian really is a lovely theme that will be popular! Would I switch to it? We'll see..
  20. Orion falls did have *one* traditional.. alt nabbed it, letting it go. Neighbor house is from original release. (this is it, still in pool 2:56)
  21. nope, all you can do is take a chance at coordinating an abandon and have the other person refresh like mad, It's total chance and risky, but some pull it off. Not advised to attempt really, odds are too much against it working.
