  1. Looks to me like someone spilled a jar of barrettes and hair bands .... But I can't think of how we'd live in/on them. At least it looks like they're having fun arranging them into nice patterns. Edit: you know what I just realized, after it clicked the lower one is actually another version of Wiggle (thanks Alyona!), I'm about 75% sure the circles are terrain elevation change markers for roads, and the "barrettes" are elevation change markers for terrain around homes. If that's what they are, the top picture makes me go hmmmm
  2. Wiggle had my dream home, and I was on lockout ⛔ *mutters and stomps off, disappointed but relieved the chase is over for her* Some nice spots, and a very rare mountain setting for traditionals, congrats to new owners!
  3. The beach campers are being developed at the speed of light right now, and the way they're doing them, I'd give up my current camper that I love to be there. But by the time they're available, it will be a sea of campers to swim through and maxing abandons for a few days, lol, Future fun
  4. All that hulabaloo over what was probably one little abandoned camper who had a wheel fall off
  5. Watching the map in both areas for appearing dots to flag what region released, but nothing is happening. Only Huney Junction might be a possibility because it's acting different on my mini map (no parcel borders show). That's on the west side developed. I doubt it though, it's in the middle of unreleased ones..
  6. My theory (and only a theory!) is that they are "finishing" the campers, to get to supply meeting demand, because they are easiest to get to that point, and so there will always be one option for now, then continue working on the other two to get to that point with them.
  7. Oh yes, always a popup even if it's empty, asking to confirm. No one click abandons ever, but sometimes we're distracted and just want to clear a popup off our screen, like when we delete something, or confirm a TP, it's just a habit, not even looking at what it says. It's good there's at least that, though.
  8. You can abandon with it fully decorated. I always do it that way so I get things back in a big clump that I can rez out together another time because I'm too lazy to redecorate! I agree a super-duper sized confirmation would be nice to assure no accidentals
  9. This is definitely a prime time for someone who just wants a home. I haven't been trying to grab them because the one I'm waiting on would be a camper/ traditional same page deal, but I keep watching for it. Just lots of single person releases now.
  10. *coughs* on topic, just saw a HB and traditional same page, thought it was a release!
  11. You can abandon from a region away.. Have done that, cam on the dots waiting for you, click land. I don't think it's creepy for people to wait, I understand it. It's just awkward when they start cheering, and I feel like I'm letting them down, lol
  12. Port Laury, has been the HB that was a surprise keeper for me. I didn't think I'd want any that were on the new pickle, and thought I'd want to be on the shore like my old one in Gangway. ( I only left that one because of a barrier from a neighbor) I thought I *had* to be on the end also, and actually preferred rectangle over square so the houseboat isn't sideways. But sometimes you land somewhere, when you click "go to your new home now" and you take a look around, and it feels like home. My advice is to not rely too heavy on a checklist, and just go with your feelings. I have a thing for wanting new and shiny, being original owner from a release, but that flew out the door with this one. It's been said many times on this forum, one person's castoff is another one's dream. Plenty of good catches outside of releases!
  13. I've gone back several times. My first home was mainland I bought, because the land bug bit me right away, and wanting to create forests, gardens, lakes and rivers. I love terraforming! Since the time it was my place, it's changed with new ownership, there's a farm there now in my spot, but it still has the same feel I remember. That first place I lived on also created a need for the land group I still use for everything 13 years later with the region name Nitida. It has stayed occupied over the years with loyal residents, only a few slices of abandoned last I looked, which wasn't long ago, because every time I want to buy some mainland, I check there first.. Never anything Never had an old Linden home more than a few days, they really weren't my thing. Bellisseria, now that's a different story!
  14. Something that brings me delight in Bellisseria, is inspecting the landscape on the different regions. I've noticed much of the time, it'll be like Alotta did most of this one, then Moonstruck did most of the next, Garden the next, and so on. It seems to help giving each region individuality. But what truly warms my heart, is when I see a masterpiece like this waterfall, when they all seem to have come together to make one thing.. This one near my dream home includes Moonstruck, Missy, Fox, and Yonder all adding bits and pieces. I don't know why, but it adds charm to see one tree owned by someone, the tree behind it another person, a shrub by another. They're like signatures: "I was here", and the collaboration to make especially nice little spots is a great vibe stamped all across the continent. Thank you Moles!
  15. Well bummer Just thought that since they were up for quite a while. I hope your luck gets better!
  16. @Anidusa Carolina it sounds to me like you may have Bellisseria in your drop down.
  17. I actually did an interception on it between you two. I think I'm calling it a day!
  18. if you check ON the box circled in the pic, in about land window, that'll eliminate sounds from outside your parcel, not just your sounds to others. oops, double posted with Pandora, LOL.. oh well, a picture might help
  19. It seems to me that it's not so much that the connection channel will be taken away, but that the connection will be much shorter. While that may take from your enjoyment of long voyages, that's a vast open space that is needed, like it or not, to develop more land. This is one case where they can't keep everyone happy, but they can certainly please a majority.
  20. I've recently decided that it's not the terrain or location that matters to me. I don't care if it's sand, grass, rock, by water or nice landscape. When push comes to shove, the most important thing to me, is the other residents. Who is around me, if they are settled, how they've done up their area, if they're friendly. That's what determines if I am at my dream home. I thought I had my ideal houseboat and traditional, but it's neighbors and feeling like you're somewhere you want to be that makes it home, when it comes to Bellisseria, for me. I'll take the most unappealing parcel there is, but will stay if the neighborhood has that vibe I seek.
  21. My avatar has always been a reflection of who I am inside, not outside, right from the beginning. It's important to me to reflect a down to earth, kind, approachable, casual and natural look. With pointy elf ears! My very first day, I pulled those ear sliders around, and the elf ears shall always remain. What I look like in SL doesn't bear even a passing resemblance to the first life me, yet it's still a very accurate representation of who I am, and feels very authentic. She is me, I am her. Glamorous? NO! Hiking in heels? Oh heck NO! Perfect makeup? No thank you! That is the similarity between my avatar and the other me. We can't be bothered with fashion and looking sexy. That isn't who we are. I'm not comfortable at all with changing appearances, either, other than outfit changes. I'yam who I'yam. Except when I'm something else. Changing into a non-human form is fun, and liberating! But only temporary.
  22. To me, the 5000 day mark is the milestone for "the ancient ones".. I'm at 4937 right now, getting there! I go by that rather than rez days, I guess because the viewer skin I use only shows age by days, not years, so those big numbers stand out to me. Sometimes at live concerts there's a lot of older avis, so I sort on radar by age to see if I'm the oldest there, and am always a little in awe of those who are over 5k
