    LOL Totally agree. I also find it interesting that some of the same people that complained that it would show Premium Plus status on their profile or POF have no issue at all revealing what their computer set up is like and how much it cost. Also the original post question has nothing to do with SL at all so not sure why it's allowed.

    I rarely look at reviews. Most have only 1-5 reviews and those are the ones that are suspect. Anyone can create 5 alts and submit a review. The only reviews I "may" take seriously are ones that have 20+ -40 reviews. You can be sure that ones that have VERY high positive reviews the store has given out an incentive to post a review, such as a newly released TV.

    I looked (not at yours cause I'd no way of knowing how to find it) and all you can do is "flag photo". You have no way of knowing if it was someone here or a random person on Flickr.

    Personally I think LL handled it by releasing their statement. Any other information should be kept confidential, including how they handled it. The only thing I would expect them to do is reiterate the TOS on what is and is not acceptable behavior in Second Life.

    I do this as well. Sometimes I won't block them on the forum but I have them blocked in-world. I've shut off the ability to message me here so there really is no reason for me to block anyone here.

    You can be addicted to alcohol and still l have it not affect your life. There are plenty of full functioning alcoholics. A habit is a series of things you do all the time. i.e. put your keys in the same place, always order 2% milk, put your socks on the left foot first and then the right. As far as SL being considered a game, clearly some people see it as a game and some don't. Why people get so annoyed when people call it a game is beyond me. If you don't see it as a game then so be it. What does anyone care what another person calls it? It's the same way when people say SL is not a dating site. Again, I know people that have been in SL with the express interest of finding someone to spend their RL with and they have been successful. To them, SL is a dating site.

    I think also that people that depend solely on Second Life for their social interactions should also start exploring alternate platforms. Find another you like, make some friends, invest some time. That way if SL does poof, which will inevitably happen at some point, people aren't feeling as lost or as angry if they had nothing to replace it. I invested a lot of time and made friends in The Sims Online. There were not as many ways to keep in touch when it went down and eventually we all lost touch. It really did feel like a void for awhile. I can't imagine how some will feel that have been here 20+ years when it finally implodes. I, in no way think it will happen soon but it's always good to plan ahead.

    Thousands make a living from SL? I do think that is pushing it A LOT. Maybe thousands make some money but very few actually make enough to make a living out of it. If they do, they shouldn't be putting all their eggs in the SL basket. SL who offers no severance, no unemployment and could be gone by 8am tomorrow morning. Not smart at all to rely on on SL for your income.

    Not all bad in my opinion. I'd love to see some of the smut and disturbing things I've run into on people's profiles removed from Second Life. THAT can only be a win in my mind.

    Surely people have other places they can go to for adult content. Maybe not? For those that are sure that this announcement means that adult content will either go away or be highly restricted you should start your research now on what you need to replace it. I am taking the "wait and see" approach. After all, we have no control over what happens. Why worry and speculate now?

    Come on be honest. Everyone who says they have someone blocked doesn't really, they just like to announce it because it's easier to say that than "I think you're stupid. If they do have you blocked they can't help but read your posts anyway. You know you do. It's like wanting to push a button that says "don't push" Lastly, the block only hurts the person doing the blocking because if they have you blocked then they can't *shouldn't* respond to you because they said they blocked you. Even when people say they aren't going to respond anymore to a thread, most of the time they do. Anyone can feel free blocking me. No need to announce it. Just do it. Now @BilliJo Aldrin don't reponed because I know you have me blocked. Be courteous and don't quote this post. LOL * I know. Someone will do it.*

    Pedantic is an insulting word used to describe someone who annoys others by correcting small errors, caring too much about minor details, or emphasizing their own expertise especially in some narrow or boring subject matter. Don't be so Pedantic @Love Zhaoying it apparently annoys people.

    Actually the later is a sex offense in some states depending on the age of the other person.
