You have to remember that a club isn't required to have staff or even to wear a tag. A region is simply someone's personal space to do with what they want. They have no obligation beyond the maturity ratings to do anything or even enforce behavior.

Personally I think you overreacted especially since there is a mute and derender option. Problem solved right there. Hey, there might be someone that likes to get those sort of IM's and are not bothered by it so calling him out in local wasn't appropriate. You can also just close the chat and refuse to engage with the person. I don't even block people. I just tell them I am and then ignore their IM's. I don't want to see the gray figure lurking around and for me derender is too permanent. Also, in the interest of "be who you want to be" maybe he was playing a "creepy guy" shrugs. The OP took the blame for causing drama in local chat not for calling out the creeper. Besides...I doubt that this person is going to stop because someone calls him out on it. I tend to have fun with them but I know not everyone wants to do that.

It could be that you went to a club that pays random people for being there or you maybe played a sploder or played trivia in a place that pays for a correct answer.

The only time this happened to me was when I had two viewers open. One for SL and one for Opensim.

This avatar pic was posted in another thread. Maybe it's just me but I find her look to be very high end and beautiful and the cost was FREE. Not saying that spending more $L won't get you a high end avatar but it CAN be done without spending a dime. (in case any newbies are reading this and thinking that a nice avatar can't be done without spending money)

Got it! Thank you. I moved it over and indeed some of the land was not able to be raised so it looks a lot bigger on the ground. Once up in the air it fit perfectly.

Ok, I am driving myself bonkers here. I bought a 1024 sized lot on the mainland and I want to put a skybox up and just leave the land empty. I bought a 32x32 sky platform that is square just like the lot and it isn't fitting. I can't for the life of me figure out why. I raised the land to make sure that I had all the buildable space showing. This is the second 32x32 platform that i bought that fit the exact same way so I figure I am not understanding why it's not fitting. if the land is 1024 and this sky platform is 1024 why is it not fitting?

Perhaps making a video for the very basics could be a good thing however, the video I posted walks you though the very basics IMO. You had said that you didn't watch it all because you knew how to do the things in the beginning of the video, yet you didn't even know what ways there were to unpack a box. What I would warn against is trying to make a educational video for absolute new people with the knowledge that you possess now. You have some very basic knowledge of how to put together a mesh avatar however you are missing very important details in your understanding of how it all works and I think it will just confuse people more. As Skell pointed out it's not as easy as just getting a body, head, skin and shape. What about only just having a mesh body and not a head? You can go mesh for the body and keep your head as classic as well. If you had even bothered to look you would know that there are a plethora of videos from the very basic to the very complicated already out there. I'm actually a bit surprised someone who had been in SL for 10 years before and only left for four years didn't retain a lot of the information you are saying you don't understand. Maybe it's really not a noobie issue but a you issue. After all most avatar I see in-world managed to get out of their noobie look rather quickly. What you are proposing is already out there 10 times over. You just have to look.

That was why I initially said block them but she didn't want to do that so they must be a friend or at least an acquaintance. Maybe they don't know.

I watched the part that you noted and she explains it very well. Basically you put on the alpha's and then the body parts and then the head. Then you put on a skin and shape. If you had watched the whole video instead of just the part about the bodies you might understand it more. Good luck to you...I feel like you are just whining now and I'm done trying to help you. Maybe someone else will come along that has more patience and can help you. I might make a suggestion that if you do get someone nice enough to help you that you do it in voice and not text.

Honestly I've never had a problem getting a home in the last few months and even gave them back and tried again. Not sure what the secret is. Maybe the time I did it? but I've tried all different times and still never had any issues. The only problem I had was going for the same type of house right after I abandoned one and getting the same one so I've learned to wait a bit.
