So this VR smart coder, peter kappler, started a project that makes SL work in VR with Steam and Firestorm. Odd that you had such a bad shopping experience. I just bought the Legacy body again for an alt in FS and was in in out within 30 seconds.

I posted this in another thread but will also put it here so it might benefit others who aren't connected to that other. Basically I am amazed at how easy it is to edit the layers and completely customize the look. The more I work with it the more happy of the buy I am and will likely switch my alt out from belleza - as someone else mentioned, Lara's lower half does look like blocky puddy so the only time I wver wore her was when I could cover most of it with exclusive clothes. So today I wanted to see if I make desired changes just from the materials hud and shockingly I was able to add custom detail like abs, pubic hair, tan lines, rib bones, breast veins, and other detail for realism and it was so easy. Just export my creations from Gimp, upload to sl, and apply via the materials editor. NO need for omega, it was so simple. If I liked tattoos I could easily have done that as well. So far the only complaint I have about the entire setup is that if you have a 4K monitor you can see fine lines on various places on the body at any altitude close up. Not a big deal. One of the things I love is the shape of the butt thighs breasts and feminine regions, incredibly well sculpted. Even if they dont update the body, I'm already a happy customer and will buy one for my alt as I cant stand to take photo's anymore with a lara or belleza based set. I might take some flcikr images and post them if I can tear myself away from Legacy play time.

Btw essence makes some legacy skin and a genus skin to match. I tried it and wasnt sold since the default legacy skin is astoundingly the best skin I've ever seen in sl with the way you can enhance it with the HUDs bump and shine settings. The butt, breasts, legs, stomach areas are incredibly nice, blended well, and realistic in appearance so much so that I doubt any skin will come along soon to beat what comes with the body. I have the new L'Etre for my lara and belleza which I loved most and Legacy's skin murders it in comparison.

If you use the feet deformer it is absolutely amazing in the way you can use just about any lara based shoes/heels I've tried without any oddity or blemish. This aspect has impressed me tremendously. There isnt any current rings or nails yet but the nails that come standard with Legacy are very pretty dont make you feel like you've got to run out and cover them with something better just to look complete. Punch has some navel piercings that fit and are gorgeous- one set is for legacy the other tmp and happen to fit great.

I wonder if that works like omega. That would be fantastic if so.

5k is only 20-ish $ in rl. Is 20$ really that big of a deal to you?? I've donated 5 times that amount in sl over my 12 years and don't understand your silly grief over 20 bucks.....unless youre a kid or dont have a job, in which case you should be out job hunting and not playing games or in forums busting others arses over what they are entitled to spend.

I've had none of the drama lined out in this post. Maybe some folks just need a reason to be negative, which is fine for me because I dont mind looking better than 98% of those around me. But I'm also happy to help anyone who cares about visual fidelity and I get that there's a lot in SL or in rl that do not care about this at all ❤️

I should follow up after trying all the features of Legacy this weekend. The body proves to me that its worth a mere 20$ ish dollars, to me. With the deformers I can wear all my lara shoes, most tops, and even a lot of the shorts look good with some small gaps. Pants fit great - I was blown away with this feature. The default skin with bump and shine options is the best I've seen in sl period. Those who do not care about realism it may not be worth it to you, but those who have guys or partners who are visual may appreciate it. My partners are amazed and love my new body over any of the others I've ever owned. The shape is absolutely remarkably gorgeous. As I read through this forum I wonder how many have unbiasedly tried the new body. I too experienced what many have with the poor customer serivce but gave them another chance, not from the goodness of my heart, but because I wanted a better body and skin then Lara and Belleza curently offers. To me Belleza is superior to Lara if you're into realism, and I wont go into why I think that, and Legacy is one of those bodies that I can't wait to RP in as it adds so much more in emotional and fun value just by the visual superiority alone. Right now no one makes a bikini for Legacy that I can find so if I want to go to the beach in one I either put Isis back on or use the deformers to wear a lara bikin, which wont fit perfect but close enough to be surprising. I suspect, if they continue to support the product they'll improve the deformers to near perfect - I hope so but even if they dont suppprt or improve anything further I'm happy with the 1.1 release. What makes me even more happy is the fact that all the best and most talented creator's are creating for it right now: candy doll, addams, blueberry, nerido, spirit, amd many more. If I do go to the beach in my Legacy body, nude, if the sim promotes such attire, or bikini clad, I will most likely be the most attractive avatar on the beach without exception. For me, it's fun and important and why I play. Other's may not give a fig about that sort of thing. To each....you know the saying So those with doubts and grudges, those with tight purses, those who dont care about realism, please have fun with your old bodies and continue to discourage everyone who bends ear to your dissatisfactions, warranted or not. I and my friends and others I've seen on the grid wearing Legacy will be gleefully frockling along in our sexy fun photo ready new mesh turning heads and eliciting wonder. Say what you want about me or Legacy but I dont care what anyone thinks, and Legacy will continue to be progressive, where it dies or not. I just came to share with any open minded readers a contrary and perhaps controversial opinion that may get them to at least try it out. If they try it out they may feel about it the way I do which can help fuel creator's like maitreya to at least update their bodies more frequently or other healthy competition, benefitting us frequent buyers. I'm not affiliated in any way, and I wish the Legacy team would read all these complaints and assuage and address them professionally, make things right with discounts and promotions. They would be wise to listen this time because obviously many many eyes are watching and waiting

I guess by this topics estimation I am utterly foolish because I did spend 5k on the new legacy body after demoing it. I have every body except for slink as I dont like the lack of realistic feminine curves and other unmentionables, and in my opinon the new Legacy body is hyper realistic and beautiful, the best body currently available. I frequently use Lara and Freya sometimes Isis and love those bodies but the default skin, shape, and realistic butt/genital area are superior. This will be my primary body from here forward and I'm estatic to see already a number of high quality creators supporting it. I have the cutest shorts from Spirit and the sexiest top from Nerido that pair with an old pair of heels that make me a stunner when I go out. I did have the old tmp and agree with the crapshow that was for support and reliability and and trust but I love SL and want the best playing experience and am willing to invest in another run with this company for my playing pleasure and am tremendously happy I gave it another go. Hate the company, hate the past treatment, hate the money spent, but try a demo and see if YOU look and feel better in a body you find the most appealing SL has seen in 15 years. I want reaslism and fun and this body has already given me more of that and is already worth double the pricepoint even if it flops, which given the high quality I discovered for myself, I doubt. If you hate it, only your time is lost, but if you love it more than any body you've ever worn like me, you'll be glad you did.

Are there any talented individuals one or professinal services that provide paid help with making a high quality avatar look? I have one i created that i love but am bored of the look and haven't been able to make anything else I really love. I'd like to pay a talented person to help me create another beautiful high quality head/face/skin combo. I've tried numerous shapes they sell on the MP and in world but those never look as advertised to me. I prefer to use lelutka unless there's a way past a certain look with catwa that i dont find appealing. Please reach out if you can help :) Thank you

After searching I found some instructions on how to create a normal/bump map: and when I create a normal from GIMP for mesh body skin it looks very unclean and off putting on the avatar. I've tried various settings and it's not pretty like I know it can be with some guidence from any of the pro here. So I'm reaching out on what settings folks use and find success with AND how to create a specular, please. Thank you.

Is there a way to have mesh avatars, such as with a Belleza body, have collision. I want to not have my avatars go through each other or furniture when posing if possible. Thanks -SV
