    As it turns out, the answer to my question was "no". I even had to read all but the last paragraph to find that info. I had to read stuff that didn't really pertain to my question. Thanks for the help.   Oh and that last paragraph was one sentence.  The source of the pet peeve (see inner quote) is in another post? Didn’t see anything the original referred to. We are entering the world of MetaPetPeeves!

    If someone’s personal politics are against celebrating another nation’s holiday, then to them it would seem political. A parade in SL seems like an awesomely chaotic idea. On the other hand, anyone can shoot fireworks on their land, anytime.

    Doesn’t that mess up some kinds of HUDS (such as used for mesh avatars), because the user won’t know which scripts to “re-enable”? It would be great if instead of “set to not running”, there was a way to treat an object (and its scripts) as if it’s in a “no script zone”.
