Is "LIFE Properties" owned by Linden Labs?
iamyourneighbour replied to animats's topic in General Discussion
Imo the turn over isn't that high, my little marketplace shop racks in a messy 1.5-2K L$ range a day while one of their held land, beach block too, has been sitting there for sale for over three month. Maybe me jinxing it has an effect, IDK. -
IP don't mean hoot nowdays just renew your MAC address and you get a new IP. Suppose if you cannot figure out how, first step is to stop clicking links and hit yes to everything. Particularly streams.

Someone asking for my password??
iamyourneighbour replied to Rosalia Sands's question in Abuse and Griefing
Wouldn't even bother reporting tbh, anyone who simply gives out password because someone asked have a lesson to learn. You shield them in safety today, next year they would be sending their entire bank account to Nigerian scams. The Nigerian scams are badly typed for one reason, to select the victims with the ultimate feeble naivety; the ones that ask for passwords whether by pretending to be staffs, or promising fortunes, are just doing the same without realizing it. Long story short, the victim and the offender are a match made in heaven. -

Looking for friend(s) to rent land with :3
iamyourneighbour replied to Jixxur's topic in Make Friends
Heya! I have suitable land at budget prices that would love to have your build there. I will add you in world for more info but basically I charge only 0.5 L per prim so if you manage to find another person it would be highly affordable -
Where were you before SL? I came over from IMVU after magically reversing one permanent ban with legal aid, one permanent forum ban and 52 warnings. The merchant tax there is high and only things to be missed are the one size fits all cloth, and system enforced permission system (long story short imagine you can collect a cut from all sales made from your resellers) Apart from that, it is a creator hell. What other places have you visited before SL?

1 star the product, that's what I do. Having said that that's the best you can do. I have seen products with six 1/5 reviews all citing the particular desk sized furniture being 240 prim. Some people don't really heed the warning signs.

Looking for breedable friendly land to rent 300 to 700 prims

Got a roadside 400LI for just 200L$ a week let me know if interested ! -
can breedables be rezed in a Premium/free house?
iamyourneighbour replied to PrismaticFate's question in Land
There is nothing policy wise to say you cannot have breedables on those linden homes. However, keeping horses in a contemporary mansion's lounge room just don't really fit, not to mention the limited space. It's better to abandon the linden home and buy your own 512 plot on mainland and expand from there. There's no change in cost if you do that, just more freedom. -
http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Black Drake/178/7/40 Vacant land for development, small lot, do whatever you want. Look I know you just want cheap land, so I am going to skip the fluff, top one in the picture is 200L a week for 400 prims Bottom one is 100L for 200 prims. I will add a free week after first payment to give you time to settle in. Ground builds prefered but if you are there to build skyboxes, I won't stop you. This is a part of the greater Applewood City project. Look one sim to the north if you want to see what's to come.

The 'lowest' LOD is not optimized that's why the LI count is high. Also you need to consider physics. When you upload, there are two impact factors, download and physics, whichever is higher becomes your LI reference. So say if I have a golden pelican sculpture, and I let SL determine its physics according to the highest LOD, you can enlarge that pelican and walk on its beak. The question is, do you really need that ? Long story short, here are the contributing factors: 1. The physics are unnecessarily complex, usually due to not knowing or willfully ignorant 2. The lowest LOD is unnecessarily high, or poorly optimized. If they are seeing the lowest LOD, they probably shouldn't need to see it. Usually results of wilful ignorance, the type of people who want you to see a 20000 poly chair from 2 blocks away Clothing or avatar items may have really high LOD since avatar items are not meant to be teased on the ground in most cases. Check my shop you will see what is possible to lock into 1LI

Prims actually causes more system stress from experience. There is a sim called anime high school which features very prim heavy construction, my FPS there is lower compared to a walk around Vila Mimosa (which is a mesh build)

Request for Traditional and Simplified Chinese forum
iamyourneighbour replied to iamyourneighbour's topic in Forums Feedback
Hi I know the initial post suggestion sounds like a casual joke, but the activity of Traditional and Simplified Chinese speakers are definitely on the rise, and a lot of those people don't really have means to form a community apart from dead inactive groups. Does anyone know who I can contact about having a new forums setup -
Need help with texturing, particularly with making something from scratch. I am good with copying real life examples, or from a photo where I have reference. I made a helmet out of an artist's sketch, the mesh is pretty nice looking and the artist really like it but I have discovered I am rather poor at dreaming up textures for something that has no previous examples (the drawing was just a line sketch) Any resource would help thanks ?

Look I am a crazy guy I would suggest unfitting commercials to spice it up, like advertise for casperlet just out of nowhere in the middle of the action, or include some Ugandan knuckles in the raid. -

- Wear the group tag you want to buy land for - Ensure enough tier is donated to the group. - right click, go about land and hit buy for group - The tier needs to be manually contributed. Since from a technical sense, if you have five board member, the system won't just go about picking someone to shoot up their payment per month, since that would cause drama. I own 40K sqm over three sims I know ?
