  1. Haha. I may be down for that. There are a few ways. Either sending them over Discord (max 8 MB per file for non-'premium' users, I think), or using a temporary upload site, such as imgBB or Gyazo.
  2. I was also given a boat. Waiting around for some scripts to install in it, and changed to my boating hat!
  3. @Beth Macbain it's just a short drive from my place though! Or a short boat trip, but I don't know if I can rez a boat on the shore .. I'll go try it right away!
  4. There isn't a backseat, I'm afraid! But we could always try and see what happens if more than 2 people try to sit in it. Sure could!
  5. Someone bought me a new car, so I set up a little parking spot outside of my home and went for a Sunday dri-- Wait, it's-- Tuesday. Well. I went for a drive - and as we all know, to drive you need to wear a flat cap. May have to find a better texture for the parking spot, the concrete one that comes in the default library leaves some to be desired!
  6. It was nice. I've skimmed through it before (it's available on the Gutenberg project) whilst at work, but it was nice to sit down with it and give it a proper read. It is quite evident from its writing style that it's an older piece of literature, but the story is excellent and I do like the Gothic Horror type of writing (I know a lot of people these days find it's too slow and detailed). As a piece of literary history it's great though, and it's very apparent that Bram Stoker took some inspiration from it (and even winks to Le Fanu in the prologue to Dracula). It was also very familiar to me, as one of my favourite vampire movies ever is the Hammer Horror 'Vampire Lovers', which is based on that story (close behind the 1992 Dracula and Polanski's The Fearless Vampire Killers).
  7. Shhh, don't tell them..! Haha. But yeah, if you're being hired as a model, the photographer should be paying you - if you want a photographer to make you a profile pic or something such, you pay the photographer!
  8. Whilst visiting my family last week, I read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (yes, with the 'Murrican title - it was a pocket someone had picked up whilst traveling!) and Carmilla. I also skimmed through a few other books, but I felt two works of fiction in a weekend had to be enough.
  9. BoM allows you to use system layers on attached meshes; i.e. wear a system skin, tattoo or clothing layer on a mesh body. This has the advantage of not needing multiple body layers (mesh bodies usually have at least 4 mesh layers; one for the skin, one for tattoos, one for underwear and one for apparel - they're just slightly larger than the next, to allow you to simulate layering textures - but if two or more layers contain alphas, things tend to go bad due to the classical SL 'no can render alpha on alpha' issue). But it comes with the disadvantage of not supporting materials (although, material layers can still be applied - but there's no way, as far as I know, to use two different normal maps on top of each other).
  10. 1: Signature Gianni, as mentioned. Belleza Jake a close second, and it seems Legacy is getting a lot of support as well, even if it doesn't have the backlog of stuff that the others do. 2: Yes. 3: Signature have sales quite frequently, usually 50% off - if you join the group or the Discord, you can try to snipe one (there was one quite recently, but I think it's over). But, I would advise you try both the Gianni and the Jake, and pick the one you like best, rather than which one you can get cheaper. Gianni is a lot more muscular by default (although this can be toned down by putting the torso muscles in the low double-digits, I think mine's around 18 or 19).
  11. 1: I shall try not to frighten friends and co-workers, whom I know to be caulrophobes, by sending them clown gifs. Try. But it's so much fun! 2: I shall clean my inventories of old things that I no longer need, and reorganize them - I've gotten sloppy these past months, and it's no fun muddling through it. 3: It is my goal to produce one full set of poses every fortnight, and a free 'pose of the month' for my store. But, as we all know, things happen, so there's no point making a proper resolution about it. But I suppose 'find a plot of land and build a store' can go on the list. ... Meh. I'll leave everything else as-is, I don't really have any vices to tackle. Maybe 'commit more sins'?
  12. Genus comes with a built-in normal map option for wrinkles, which you can use on any skin (and change the severity of). For a skin textured on the diffuse map to look old though, I'm afraid I have no experience.
  13. Oh yes, Seicher, play with that head ... ... I'm-sorry-what?
  14. I've never actually tried Jake, but I very much like my Gianni and Geralt bodies - compared to my alt's Maitreya, I'd say it's generally better both in function and appearance (if one can compare a male and female body - meh?). Most complaints about the Gianni is that it's too muscular, but it can be toned down a lot (to the point where you could easily be mistaken for wearing the Geralt), and is also an issue of what skin you're using. Most creators cater to both Gianni and Jake (but unfortunately, not Geralt!), although there are some Gianni-exclusives (and a few Jake exclusives, although I rarely saw any). Legacy is TMP. We do not talk about TMP.
  15. Starts plotting Belinda's 2020 rezz day extravaganza. In secret, of course.
  16. The doctor believes it may be gallstones, I'll have to go back and have an ultrasound after the holidays.
  17. After a night of excruciating pain and a trip to the ER, with little sleep to speak of, I'm looking forward to half-sleeping on a train for two and a half hours. Gone until Friday!
  18. I've barely lift a finger today. .. It's been awesome. Watched some mini-documentaries on YouTube, and some mini-biographies. Now I'm just listening to some calm music (well, relative to me, anyway - Lordi!) and sipping my julmust whilst waiting for the laundry machines to do their thing. Contemplating whether to do a shoot for a Christmas card, or if I should do that when I come home on Friday instead. Meh.
