  1. Indeed, they are. My home region (Nuggy) is down right now, despite having been restarted earlier and being apparently healthy (Scripts Run were around 90% average). I don't know if scripts could be saved there or not because I didn't try.
  2. I recommend Live Chat Support. They're usually quick to respond and perform the restart. Ask them to restart the sim on another host.
  3. (please ignore this here, as I have no way to delete it)
  4. Yep, so far it only happened to me in main channel regions. And yes, it only occurred a few times and just in the last couple days. Still, it's a symptom that something is not right
  5. So now the inventory system fails once in a while. Attachments cause a system error message saying that the attempt to rezz an object fails... And of course items do not attach. This has been happening since a couple days ago. [EDIT] Moving to another region and changing to another outfit seems to work.
  6. Thanks for the info, but Nuggy is still buggered and got no response from Support despite having filed a ticket on the 30th, not long after Live Chat closed (+3 PM SLT).
  7. Just adding something that happened when we first noticed the scripts issue, one and an half year ago, and that is somewhat related with KittyCats. At the time, a support representative went there to check what might be wrong. The cause pointed was KittyCats collisions. The list that representative — obviously incompetent — offered had about half a dozen recent collisions. One of the collisions in the "report" even had occurred almost one year before that date. They just wanted to close another support case without doing anything relevant for it... With this I mean that it's easy to go somewhere, have a quick check around and point something that may be causing issues without looking deeper to find out what the real problem is. Of course it's not your case, as you have no access to the info the Lindens can collect, if they are willing to. There's no doubt the KittyCats contribute to lag but so do many other things. Also, there is a limit for KittyCats at a sim, and we could discuss if that limit should be lower or not but it is what it is. If that limit was set is because it was agreed it's a reasonable one. And yes, I know you are aware of performance issues — it's been discussed for quite some time. As for the cause... You may well be right and physics sometimes cause problems during a restart. But the thing is, it's not only bad restarts around SL. Sometimes it feels like the whole structure is crumbling. I am very disappointed with what the Lindens have been doing about the whole thing... The whole SL, that is. And it's kind of laughable that they expect me to extend my premium membership till September 2022 in advance when they offer a discount that still will make me pay more than I did before they played their tricks with prices and fees, and their product is the way it is. It almost feels offensive...
  8. If you go back to Nuggy and have a look at the antenna I have on a warehouse, at a dock, you'll see that the sim was restarted on the 28th (and came back healthy) and again on the 30th (with the result we know). Why was it restarted on the 30th? I have no idea. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Nuggy/199/233/21
  9. I don't think that's the case, Qie. Restarts may affect their cycle a bit, yes, but the cats do get awake on their own, anyway (8 hours asleep, 8 hours awake). This is something that happened before, and restarting the sim on another host always fixed it. The main problem is that LL has closed for holidays after restarting the sim (and who knows how many more). I also had the Leeward Cruising Club finishing and starting Sunday cruises in Nuggy, having the sim full with the max avatars allowed, and it never crashed or anything. You bet there were a lot of physics involved... No, as mentioned before, the scripts issue began one year and an half ago, as far as I first noticed it. I do understand that collisions cause lag, but please believe me, it's always been minimal at Nuggy when the sim is healthy. There is something wrong either with sims software or the hardware their running on, to the point of having people in this very forum questioning if LL was running more sims per core...
  10. Yep, I'm there, alone, no one else in sight. I guess is also due to "maintenance"...
  11. Not true, Qie. The cats have been there for years. Also, the sim was healthy before yesterday's restart. Sure, the cats cause some lag, but this is something entirely different. I've had Nuggy with Scripts Run on 90% average and the cats were there. [EDIT] The cats presence never affected my weekly dance parties. I can't say the same about LL and their mess-ups. So you see, almost 20 hours after I filed my first support ticket I still got no response. Should I be happy about it? It's all beyond a joke...
  12. When I try to explain people what SL is, I tell them it's not a game. But I gotta start adding "it's a joke!" After filing two support tickets (the first one was yesterday, a bit past 3 PM SLT) I'm still waiting a response and eventually a restart to my home region (Nuggy). The GSP says that live support is under maintenance. But is it really? How convenient... (/me pictures a poor Linden alone in the office trying to deal with hundreds of support tickets)
  13. My home sim has been unusable for more than half a day due to an unnecessary restart (it had been restarted 2 days before) and Support is unresponsive. Definitely not a nice ending for 2019.
  14. Nuggy has just been restarted although it was fine. And it was restarted 2 days ago. Now it came back completely unusable. Scripts Run won't go above 4%. Support ticket filed, as Live Chat Support is closed. Really, LL may try all marketing tricks they want — and that seems to be their main focus — but the truth is... Well, you all know what it is, unless you barely get in-world. [EDIT] Almost 10 hours after I submitted a support ticket, nothing has been done — no response. But the sim's Scripts Run are now going up to 25% average, which is still too low. [EDIT 2] Scripts Run have dropped again, now at about 6% average. It feels like the Lindens just set some random restarts (Nuggy had been restarted on the 28th and then again on the 30th) and closed for holidays at 3 PM SLT.
  15. I posted about it minutes before you did. Check the thread I opened ("Friday mess - again").
  16. "Login failed. Despite our best efforts, something unexpected has gone wrong." And blah blah blah check the GSP. Of course the Grid Status Page says nothing about it. I can't login, after having issues with inventory and editing rezzed items. It must be something to "help keeping SL's economy heathy". I'm sorry, but I can only be sarcastic about the state SL has been in for a while. [EDIT] I've just contacted Support and they confirmed that there are some connectivity issues.
  17. @Aishagain Back in 2011 (and 2012) when I joined SL, it was normal having over 60K in-world. And yes, SL is declining due several factors, and the Lindens mess-ups are only one cause for it but surely and important one. @animats Having region crossings fixed isn't a matter of priority on the Lindens side, it is a matter of knowing how to do it with the existing structure. I'm sure the Lindens work hard but I'd rather have them working EFFICIENTLY and take the right choices concerning "shinies", providers, SL's economy, etc. [EDIT] I gave up sailing/flying too, and these days I spend most of my time in SL at my own parcels.
  18. They better not write about it just yet, as the issues haven't been fixed properly. My partner was logged out while trying to take back one of her trees 50 minutes ago. When she tried to log back in, she couldn't, and since then she's been showing as online on my dashboard page (which I reloaded several times) but offline on the viewer's contacts list. I tried sending her an IM and the response I got was that she's offline — but still showing online on the dashboard page. I have no idea what the Lindens have been doing these days, but it's obvious they haven't been doing things right.
  19. Check the Grid Status Page: https://secondlife-status.statuspage.io/incidents/82f56mnkm8lt It's mess after mess after mess, these days.
  20. I'm sorry having to write this... But the thing is, I pay the Lindens, and the service isn't exactly cheap for my finances. It's not my job to find solutions for their problems or any SL problems. They won't be offering much sympathy? Oh well, it's reciprocal.
  21. Don't worry, it only shows how confusing the whole thing is...
  22. Ha! I thought it was only me... Yes, inventory slowness seems to be back, again only once in a while, although not as often as before.
  23. I didn't have any slow inventory operations during the weekend nor today, so far (I'm at SLT +8). Yesterday, as I do every other Sunday, I joined a fishing contest, which had me receiving and deleting a lot of items, and had no issues at all. Typically, I would have experienced several slow inventory operations a day... As I didn't change any settings nor my routines (I kept doing all I usually do, and the way I do it), I guess there must have been some tweaking at your end — thank you so much for that.
  24. HAHAHA! I already reported it to Support. [EDIT] It's apparently fixed now but only apparently — when browsing events for 2 PM the error comes up at some point.
