Is there anyway I can log into SL / Firestorm via CMD prompt? I just want to idle in a sim without any background stuff like the game's engine running. Just pure text in a console. Thanx!

I was all excited... I thought I built a nearly perfect machine for SL but my frame rate totally is well.... poopy (2.8) CPU = AMD Threadripper GPU = Radeon Pro Duo (2 x 16BG) MB = Aorus X399 Gaming 7 RAM = Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB I crank ALL my settings to MAX... expecting to be able to process this without a problem. To max out everything across the board, what am I missing? Just want my framerate up now without losing any quality. Is it the RAM, or a setting I need to adjust elsewhere?

Hi all, just a quick question on my CPU temp when running SL when I can get it working on good days while I wait for my replacement parts as mentioned in a previous post. I have just done a deep PC clean, using my air compressor wondering if it was the CPU's fan which was blocked with dust. I am running 4 fans, one on the back, 2 on the front, and one on the side. The 2 front and side are intakes, the back is the rear exhaust fan. My Current cooler is an "Intel Original E97378 LGA1155/1156 Aluminum/Copper CPU Heatsink, P/N # E97378 " when running secondlife, i hit temperatures of 46C When in my skybox, but in sims with more than a simplistic skybox I hit around 64C (With shadows on, I hit 70C) I hit these temperatures before cleaning along with hitting the same after cleaning, I took off the CPU fan when cleaning and made sure it was correctly installed. The Thermal paste was very dry, so, would it be a safe bet that i need to replace the thermal past, or, is the fan for the CPU not a good fan in general. On a side note, I did stress tests with Prime 95 and running ARK *the game* Results as as such: Prime 95, 8 agents running, I hit 75-85 C on the CPU with all fans running ARK on high, the CPU hits a 70C with all fans running, 80C with the intake fans on the front off.

So I logged into SL yesterday after being off of it for about a month. I noticed that my client is extremely laggy! Just having on my last outfit is making me lag. Taking it off fixes that but only slightly. I haven't done or changed anything in the last month! I did some testing and found out that my graphics settings only effect fps by 1-5 frames. I can go from low to ultra without a change in the now normal 10-20 frames. Any suggestions on what it might be? I'm on Firestorm 5.0.1 and have reinstalled it and cleared all caches. CPU is being utilized normally and so is my GPU. I should also note that when I now go to any place that isn't an empty sim I get major FPS drops. Average 15 when it use to be at least double that in a 50% crowded sim or just an empty one with lots of objects. I know this because I went around and did some benchmarks after getting my 1070 and i7. My specs: Windows 10 gtx 1070 i7 6700k
