  1. I know where the landscape thread is. I post there frequently. Maybe I missed the part in the initial post that said it was clothes only. As I read it, it was colors.
  2. The modern camos used by the US military is a mix of different greens. Marpat is what the Marine use today. The old olive drab (OD) green of the WWII era was this If you used Marpat you would come close the swatch I think.
  3. Puke green would be an interesting color
  4. Well, Live RL DJing is somewhat different than SL back in those days. Even now with the right software inserting a song isn't hard to do in RL. Now if you're using real turntables, I can see how that's hard.
  5. If I go to a club, I'll tip the DJ almost always. the exceptions are, playing music I don't care for, or a DJ who blabs too much. They don't get my tip. I occasionally request songs and tip extra for that. Oh and if a DJ doesn't take requests (I always ask)? No tip.
  6. Maybe. But we're still in a quandary about the infrastructure to run electric cars. The more E-Cars there are the greater need for electric power to charge them. The more stations the more power to be created. The more power created means more power plants. Which would you prefer? Coal? Nuke? It's already clear wind and solar can't do it. And you still overlook the underprivileged who can't afford a new car. So what do we do? Just pass a $8 TRILLION bill to give everyone an E-Car? Add to this the number or immigrants that are pouring into the nation. It's not like they are going to get jobs that pay in the middle class income range. Or will we just pas ANOTHER 8$ trillion bill to subsidize them too. Ignoring people already here who are under the poverty range. Overlooked by everyone is that as bad as our emissions are, they have gotten better over the last 20 years. We can do everything we can but WE CANNOT DICTATE TO THE REST OF THE WORLD. What looks good on paper often does not look good in reality.
  7. Good luck with that. Going electric disadvantages the people who can least afford. The liberal mind set of "helping the little people"? Well, they won't be by going electric. Again, as per usual, everything they want to do hurts the people who can least afford it. I won't say it's not an admirable thought, but we are no way close to going 100% electric in the next 4 years. Cars are too high and the infrastructure to sustain total electric is not feasible. Additionally, how do you create said electricity to power all these electric cars? You don't want coal fired, you don't want nukes, wind and solar can't create that much power. Lastly. No matter what we do as a nation, or even a group of nations (the EU), China alone is building coal fired power plants at a enormous rate. They alone, will overcome everything we do. Sadly, there's not a thing we can do about it. China does what they want, because they are allowed to. They've already unleash a pandemic on the world with no ramifications beside complaining, which they could care less about. Just my input.
  8. You DO understand it's a movie. Right? It is highly unlikely a extraterrestrial being would have similar traits to humans.
  9. So what you're saying is that function no longer works without an additional app. That kinda sucks.
  10. I use the destination guides in SL.com to scout out sims At one time you could click the teleport button and get a notice inworld to TP to said location. This function no longer works for me. Is it just me or everyone?
  11. Good point. I just don't like it. The opening screen, not your point
  12. Probably not like it used to be. I do it for enjoyment and for the experimentation in editing photos. I have made profile photos for people, but so much anymore. More than anything I post photos in here and in groups to get feedback, and exhibit when the opportunity occurs.
  13. Well, whoop-ti-do for you. If you had an argument in favor of the opening screen I would be ok, but instead you just decided to be catty about it.
  14. To your point, I highly doubt a communist country would be less restrictive than a capitalist country. It's been my impression than artists aren't as concerned about copyright violation like they were in early heady days of massive file sharing on Napster . They make far more in concert sales and everything related in the periphery of concerts now. I mean, how many people even buy CDs or albums anymore? Even in the time when that's all you had you'd buy a CD with 12 songs and only listen to 3. And they can't be making a killing selling 99 cent songs on WalMart. com. But, if people are getting songs for free through converters and the like, it's because there's an interest. And when that artist comes to town they are more likely to pay $100 to go see that concert. This is speculation on my part and based on nothing but anecdotal evidence
  15. This I hate the eyeball one. The others are fine, if not anything I've ever seen in SL.
  16. Girl runs into the house and yells, Mommy, Mommy, little Billy paid me 5 dollars to climb a tree!" Mom sternly tells her, "All billy wants to do is see your panties. don't do that anymore!" The next day the girls run in and yells, "Mommy Billy paid me TEN dollars to climb a tree!!" Mom, somewhat agitated told her, "I told you why he did that, Why did you do it again?" Girl says, "But Mommy it's ok. I didn't wear any panties"
  17. Maybe, but 1st impressions mean a lot and I don't think that's a good 1st impression. And to your point, yes it can be intimidating, BUT they have to enroll to find that out.
  18. Got my 2 about a month ago. at 35 I'm not really in the mix, but in my state teachers are considered essential so we were able to get ours. Moderna and only had some soreness on both shots
