LL, IMHO, you should cancel all enhancements for every1, refund every1 for all charges made in the last 2 weeks, and then lets us buy whatever enhancement we want. That of course would be time consuming but I see it as the only reasonable solution at this point. Start from scratch. Oh and lots of my enhancements have been stuck for months -- a couple of weeks or a month of refunds does not begin to cover the amount of Lindens taken from my account without my consent. O.M.G. again! Miss Pam, could you maybe transfer ALL your lindens to another account and keep your main account at zero until all of those stuck enhancements have been cancelled? I feel terrible for you!
  2. Howdy, Toy Dude! I am in total agreement with everything you've said here. Luckily, I haven't used the failed and ridiculous "enhancements" in a long long time so I am unaffected by this latest horrible mess that has taken so many of my fellow merchant's monies. I, too, think everyone should move their money from their main account to another once a specific trigger is reached. This way, the losses which Linden Lab forces on its customers is minimal. Darrius has made some excellent points here too and I agree with him as well. I think refunds are due, in full, to every single merchant who has had an "enhancement" in the past month. This is the Lab's fault and THEY should pay for their mistakes like every other business in the world does! Oh wait...they have a TOS that says if they screw up they aren't responsible for anything. Dang. I guess they don't have to pay for their mistakes after all, huh? @CTL - this is one merchant who will never again give you any money for an "enhancement." You haven't shown me (and indeed, many others) that your "enhancements" are reliable, trustworthy, or even necessary. And now with this current horrible mess you've made, you've just reinforced that tenfold! Good job!
  3. Pamela Galli wrote: I appreciate the gesture; however, although I check this forum daily, I was unaware of the free enhancements you mentioned. But nevermind because I don't need free enhancements; what I need is to be able to stop renewing enhancements that I no longer want but am not able to discontinue because they are stuck in "Charging, Cannot Edit". Looks to me like I have been charged several hundred dollars for enhancements I do not want -- figuring out exactly how much will take hours O.M.G!!

You might check and see if YOU can download yours and if not...there's more going on here than just ANS failing. Marcus, they aren't using the HTTP Header that causes your browser to prompt to save the file to disk. (It's a minor tweak, but obviously something they overlooked.) You'll have to right-click on the link then use the "Save to disk..." or "Save Link as..." menu option to force your browser to save it as a file. Make sure you assign the extension .CSV to each file you save. (I given them the names "orders fromdate todate.csv" and "orders_transactions fromdate todate.csv") Once downloaded the files may be loaded into any spreadsheet or database program that can import CSV files. (Most spreadsheets do it natively while most DBMS Managers .. such as phpMyAdmin .. offer an option to import.) But it will only do you any good if you've also got an ANS-managed database such as the one at the heart of the iGlom RDS. I know a lot of others have "rolled their own" by creating their own web scripts to catch the ANS Transaction sent by the Marketplace. Since the CSV files come from the Marketplace's database, they are guaranteed to include every transaction reported by the Marketplace. (Or at least they bloody well should! LOL) But since there is an external link to a Merchant's ANS system and there is no guarantee that connection will be 100% then there may be discrepancies between the two. (When I pointed out to Glom that this might occur, he added the Import CSV function to RDS.) During the import process on RDS, it will highlight any new customers it finds in the CSV files that it didn't already know about and it will also highlight any new sales transactions too. So I can quickly see if something got missed by the "regular" ANS process. Since I already noticed a missing transaction, the highlighting by RDS' import merely reaffirmed it. /me facepalms I knew that. Now I feel like a d#%&ed fool. LOL! I download my CSV files every month. I dunno where my mind was with that but obviously not on the Lab's systems. Heheh.
  5. Darrius, I just tried downloading the CSV file for this month and all I got was a large page of text all crammed together on my screen and no download proceeded. You might check and see if YOU can download yours and if not...there's more going on here than just ANS failing.
  6. I logged on this morning before work and teleported to one of the Blake Sea rez areas. I rezzed an amphibious vehicle I have (Cogito Bison) and went out motoring. I crossed a total of 9 sims with nary a problem. I wanted to see if I could recreate the crashing problems or region crossing issues you've been experiencing. I didn't remove any scripted items, so I went out as I normally am (97 scripts running). Again, I didn't have any problems aside from two split half second pauses as I was moving from one sim to another. This was at full speed ahead too. Maybe this shows the region crossing problem has been "worked on" or "fixed?"
  7. Arielle Simondsen wrote: alas. still no luck. If I can't move this stuff over I am gonna be in trouble. Is this something I can file a ticket on? Idk if that would even do me any good. Howdy again, Miss Arielle Well, I'm sorry that didn't work for you. You can certainly file a support ticket (and in your case, *I* would) and hopefully they will get you up and running quickly. Since you've logged completely off the website, logged back on (several times), changed your language on your viewer, and all the rest, I'm not sure what to tell you to try next. I can tell you that once you get it working for you, it works beautifully! I have no troubles uploading new items and changing items (which I do quite often) through the Merchant Outbox. Keep us informed, ya hear?! :smileyhappy:
  8. I know this is going to sound silly, Miss Arielle, but, try changing the language on your Firestorm from "Default" to "English." I've heard that that has helped several people. Change the language, then relog. Make sure it is still set to English and then give it a try. /me crosses his fingers for you
  9. Emili, Don't use the Magic Box. Use Firestorm, open the merchant outbox and upload your item through Direct Delivery. Then try creating the listing. Magic Boxes are being phased out and they will soon stop working completely. Try an upload through direct delivery and see if that helps you.
  10. Howdy, Cousin! I think your artwork is fantastic! I would pay to have MY avatar done. :-) I think you should definitely do it! I'd be one of your first customers! :smileyvery-happy:
  11. The region you're trying to teleport into is having problems. That region needs restarted. If you know the region owner, IM him/her and ask them to restart it.
  12. I have 100's of them it seems. Most are WAY over used and the more I see them, the more I hate them. Here are a few: 1) "That said" or "With that said" <-- this is unnecessary wordiness. Delete these phrases from your vocabulary. People only use these because they think it makes them sound smart. Oh boy, are they ever wrong! 2) "Wassup" 3) "Anyways" Spell it right, people. A N Y W A Y 4) "Boi" or "boi" This is a derogatory spelling when referring to male subs and an intentional misspell. UGH! Again...spell it right, people! 5) "Linden Labs" It's only Linden Lab. Not Labs. 6) 'I know right?" 7) "Show some Linden Love" /me rolls his eyes 8) "Ginormous" Whoever first came up with this stupidity needs to be kicked in the jimmy.

Correction - Those of you who sell breedables and don't have full permissions on what you sell and people who do not have have PCs capable of running the DD viewers cannot. ETA: And before someone jumps in and thinks I'm not buying a new PC "just because" (as if...lol), there are reasons. Also, mega-thanks to those of you who have talked with me privately and offered some great suggestions. *Hugs* Howdy, Miss Czari! Yes, if your computer can't run Firestorm or the Linden Lab V3, that's a problem. I'm assuming you've tried both and either crashed immediately or was so lagged you couldn't even bring up your inventory. I wish I had a solution for you on this issue. Have you tried logging into an empty water sim like Koscina using Firestorm? Maybe with nothing to rez the viewer would work just well enough to get things uploaded?
  14. And they just keep pushing the drop dead date back further, and for what? They can't get the merchant permission issue fixed so that the breedables merchants can use Direct Delivery? From what I'm reading and understanding, all failed deliveries are with the magic boxes and not the Direct Delivery system. I have been 100% Direct Delivery since it went live and I've had no failed deliveries since then. In fact, my sales have been great too! Last month was my best EVER since becoming a merchant! I strongly suggest everyone still using magic boxes to convert to direct on the double quick! Those of you who sell breedables and don't have full permissions on what you sell cannot yet, but the rest of you can. Convert them over, folks. There's no sense waiting until the last possible second when everybody and their brothers will be trying to rush to beat the deadline and the load on the marketplace will make it slow as H.E.doublehockeysticks again. And, because I've been accused of this in the past... *DISCLAIMER* I am not now, have never been, nor will ever be an agent for Linden Lab, it's subsidiaries, employees or company. All opinions expressed in this post are mine alone based on my experiences with the Direct Delivery system. :matte-motes-big-grin:
  15. Howdy, Toy Dude! Holey moley I'm sorry you had to go through all that mess! When I first read your opening post I thought; "What in the name of all the gods is Linden Lab DOING out there??" First I read the thread about the unpaid transactions not being credited because the TOS states that they (Linden Lab) do not guarantee a glitch free service, and now this one! I double checked all mine just in case (I'm 100% direct delivery) and I've had no failed deliveries, no cross linked listings, no unpaid transactions and all my listing are showing the correct delivery method. I just don't know what to think about them anymore. :-/
  16. One of the things the Commerce Team did to try to streamline and speed-up the Marketplace, was to install a five minute delay between uploading an item and it showing up in the "Edit Associated" window. I've been slowly converting to foldered items as well and I can tell ya, it's a pain to have to wait five minutes like that before you can finish the listing. What I've started doing is uploading one folder, unboxing the next item, uploading the second item, unboxing a third item, uploading it (making any changes needed) and THEN going to the Marketplace and pulling up the first item. By the time I get three items unboxed and uploaded, the first one is ready to go. Darrius is correct. The list of items in the Edit Associated window is ridiculous. Use the search if yours is too long or you can't find it. Good luck!
  17. Howdy, Darrius! I'm really glad to see you posting again, Buddy! I've not been nearly as active recently either but I have been busy. As others have said, most all the issues that were present when you went on hiatus are still being "investigated." We get no updates from the Commerce Team and I'm to the "so disgusted I can spit" phase. Luckily, I do not have any of the cross linked listings that have been such a disaster for the past several months, my sales have been fantastic, my Merchant Outbox operates flawlessly, and I only had two customers who contacted me about not receiving their items during the maintenance that prevented those items from showing up in the Received Items folder until after a relog. So things are going just fine for me! I hope you're doin OK too!
  18. The Merchant Outbox in Firestorm works perfectly, Saoirse. Why anybody would want to continue adding their new items to an outdated system like the Magic Boxes when they know that system is being phased out is beyond me. There are a couple of things you need to do the first time you use the Merchant Outbox. First...click Avatar/Merchant Outbox and let it initialize. If it keeps telling you you need to "open a new store" (or words to that effect), log out of your marketplace store on the website, log out of your viewer, log back in to your marketplace store and then log back inworld. Open the Outbox again and it should initialize fine. With Direct Delivery, it is no longer necessary to box your items for sale. So, just drag the folder that everything is in into the Outbox and allow everything to load. There will be an arrow next to the folder in the Outbox. Click it and double check that everything got moved over. Click "Send To Marketplace." You can still box your items if you wish. The difference is that your customer will no longer have to find a place to rez a box and unpack it if you use a folder rather than a box. It's very convenient for new residents who may not have land to rez things on. You will get a pop-up saying "Upload Successful" if everything went as normal and your Outbox will change to "empty" again. Now you can go to your store on the marketplace and go to the "Unassociated Items" section where you will see your new item ready to be listed! Click the Action button, select Create New Listing, and off you go again. Linden Lab has stated that they will give at least 30 days notice before they shut off the Magic Boxes and there are several things they have to fix before they can do that. Namely, getting Direct Delivery to accept No Copy items to the merchant. eg, Breedables items are all no copy even to the sellers and the Direct Delivery system doesn't accept the item if the seller doesn't have copy permissions. That has to be fixed first before they can turn off Magic Boxes. Try adding just one of your new items to get a feel for how the system works and the process you have to go through to get something new listed. See what you think. After one or two, I think you'll love it! If you have any other questions or need help, you can contact me inworld and I'll help talk you through the process.
  19. I've noticed this too, Josh. I wanted something to be mod/copy and when I brought it back into my inventory, it was at trans only. Everyone would be well advised to double check the permissions on any new items you make while they are in your inventory.
  20. It's not that they are Non-Deliveries, Kurt. The lab has been doing some maintenance on the Marketplace the past couple of days and the orders are arriving, but just not showing up in the Received Items folder until after the buyer logs off and back in again. Once they do that...there's all their items. They say in the grid status that the maintenance will be complete today and orders will go back to showing as normal.
  21. I've had a couple of those too. This just posted on the Grid Status: Marketplace Maintenance [Posted 3:19pm PDT, 10 July 2012] There is maintenance going on with our marketplace, that will cause residents to have to relog into the viewer before they see their orders in the received items folder. The updates will be completed by the end of the day tomorrow, at which time deliveries should appear as normal.
  22. Hypatia Meili wrote: I never did get why LL thought the addtionof display names meant that last names were no longer needed . The orginal last name sytem must have been implimented for some reason, likely all the same reasons everyone complains now. I don't get why making up your own last name rather then choosing from a list(like it use to be) was not done. . My suggestion, if i could talk to newbs before they made there names would be to do like the following example. - User Name: johnsmith - Display Name: John Smith With something obviously more unique then "John Smith" tho. ^^ THIS!!!!
  23. Yeah, but I consider those display names "play names" or "aliases." And so have them turned off. They mean nothing to me and I don't want to see them. So, off they went a LONG time ago. They are a poor option what with all the ascii characters so many people seem to want to use. X-P Ugh.
  24. I know I'm gonna get flamed for this, but I just can't take it any longer! The avatar names that noobs are selecting now are getting more and more ridiculous! I saw a dude the other day with a name that was just a string of numbers! It started with 046XXXXXX. How do you even address someone with a name like that? "Howdy, Zero Four Six!" There's another person below this thread with 1RXXX as a name. Again...same question. I have never seen anybody out in the real world named as a string of numbers and letters like that. I know it's because the sign up system is terrible and they don't tell noobs that that string of numbers is gonna be hovering above their heads forever more. But, if it were ME and the 1st time I logged in and saw that my name was the string of numbers and most everybody else had a REAL name, I would log out and start again. When I see people with those ridiculous "names" I just want to yell out to them; "Go get a REAL name will ya!" Of course I am all for them bringing back last names. But, we know now that it will never happen. Noobs need to know that they can likely get a name in this format: FirstnameLastname. No spaces.
  25. Well howdy, Dresden! Good to see ya, Man! Yeah, I thought about that too. Manually copy/paste. That would be a huge pain in the you-know-what though. Hopefully, the OP is using Firestorm.
