  1. Hi:) I don't even know how to explain this bizarre occurrence, but I'll give it a go:) Built a furnished house including one mesh sofa and was double checking to make sure all the bits were linked and in place. I made a little mesh sofa for the bedroom, and I thought I had forgotten to put the positioner script into it the first time I rezzed the house, so re did and copied, etc. and watched the sofa when I re rezzed and it rezzes for about 5 minutes and just disappears. Just to give more info on the item itself, it's 7 prims comprising of 3 "elements" - 2 basic prims, 2 sculpty prims and 3 mesh prims. I am using the MLPV2 scripts and animations in the mesh seat of the sofa. In the first 5 minutes while it is rezzed, the poses work fine until it disappears. I also have the MLPV2 scripts in two other pieces of furniture, but they are not mesh and work and rez fine with the Rez Faux. So this is what I've tried so far, btw I hv contacted the creator of the Rez Faux but I am waiting on a reply. So, I've done the following: 1. I relinked the entire sofa and made a basic prim the root prim instead of the mesh seat, it disappeared. 2. Relinked in 3 pieces, basic prims, sculpty prims and mesh prims. Rezzed with the Rez Faux and the mesh prims disappeared. 3. Tried again with the rez faux in 3 pieces and this time, when it rezzed, I unlinked the mesh items and the seat with the MLPV2 script and animations disappeared, every other prim stayed rezzed. 4. I thought then there must be something between the MLPV2 scripts, the Rez Faux scripts and the mesh object that somehow just didn't work, so I decided to create a flat alpha piece, put all the animations and MLPV2 into that instead. So no scripts in any piece of the mesh sofa and I linked again now using the alpha prim as the root prim with the MLPV2 and Rez Faux positioner in it, rezzed it, and guess what? Poof, disappeared!! I really have no idea what is causing this, I don't receive any error messages like too many prims on parcel, or distance and can't link (although for Rez Faux this shouldn't be a problem), just nothing at all, it simply disappears. I also checked the prims on the parcel before and after I rezzed it, and it shows the amount available, and when it disappears, there are 7 more prims on the parcel, so it is definitely gone from the parcel. There are no issues with the sofa before putting the Rez Faux positioner into it, it works fine on the land, and doesn't disappear or anything like that..............................so any ideas of where I go from here would be sooooooooooooo gratefully received:) Thanks:)
  2. Hi:smileyhappy: Just wanted to say thanks for all the replies. I've shortened almost all the animation names which should help somewhat and a more up to date box of scripts, so far, no stack heap collision message! Thanks again, Saoirse
  3. Hi:smileyhappy: I've started building and creating furniture and using the MLPV2 script for beds. After purchasing a preloaded MPLV2 engine, I decided to invest in more animations and bought a large bundle which cost me quite a few linden. I added most to the bed, only to get the infamous "script run time error. stack heap collision" message. I've tried almost everything recommended from the MLPV2 Wiki pages, shortening button names, deleting animations, etc. and it's still happening. So I looked at the MP to see other beds advertised with 300+ animations and had an inworld browse around. The ones using XPose engines seem to be capable of having hundreds of animations, but I believe the engine isn't available to buy in SL anymore. When I looked at other beds using the MPLV2 engine, the amount of animations used all seems to be about the same, 9/10 buttons on main page with 9 buttons per page, so between 81 and 90 sets, total animations between 162 and 180 or thereabouts. So, my question is, is this really the maximum about of animations that an MLPV2 scripted bed can have? It seems quite low when you see beds advertised with as many as 600+ animations included. I just want to get a rough idea before I spend another week tearing my hair (wig) out!:smileyhappy: Any advice would be greatly appreciated:smileyhappy: Thanks, Saoirse
  4. I must join the MLPV2 group as you suggested, I had no idea it existed:) Thanks:) Saoirse
  5. Thanks very much:) I actually sorted it out in the end by using MORE More--> as well as autoback and automore, which seemed to have sorted it out very well:) Thanks again, Saoirse
  6. Sorry, I wasn't too sure which forum to post in, but have now posted in scripting one. Thanks, Saoirse
  7. Hi**Only uploaded images may be used in postings**://secondlife.i.lithium.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif" border="0" alt=":smileyhappy:" title="Smiley Happy" /> I've been adding extra animations to an MLPV2 bed, and need to expand the menu to two pages. I have read the tutorial page in Wiki, but I just can't seem to get a second page to show. This is what I've done on the menu configuration card: TOMENU - // 10 (total) blank spaces for modular configs. Unused entries are automatically deleted. TOMENU - TOMENU - TOMENU - TOMENU - TOMENU - TOMENU - TOMENU - TOMENU - STOP //remove poseballs TOMENU OPTIONS // options menu TOMENU MORE--> //next page TOMENU - // 10 (total) blank spaces for modular configs. Unused entries are automatically deleted. TOMENU - TOMENU - TOMENU - TOMENU - TOMENU - TOMENU - TOMENU - TOMENU - STOP //remove poseballs TOMENU OPTIONS // options menu BACK I have 12 submenus created already and want to create probably another 3 to 5, but of course, the extra 2 already created are not showing in the menu. I have reset the menu script as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated**Only uploaded images may be used in postings**://secondlife.i.lithium.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif" border="0" alt=":smileyhappy:" title="Smiley Happy" /> Thanks Saoirse

  9. Thanks to both of you for your replies! A lot of very helpful info which I'm going to try out. Fingers crossed it works ok. Thanks again!
  10. Hi:) I wanted to add some new items to my MP listings and having read about the problems with Merchant Outbox and DD, I'm a bit confused. I use Firestorm viewer and I guess what I need to know is should I add my new items via the Merchant Outbox or should I wait till I'm pushed, that is when we can no longer use Magic Boxes. Does it look like this may happen in the near future or way off in the distant future? I have to confess I have not read all the info on the Merchant Outbox, so regarding old listings being removed from the MB and placed in the MO, do I have to re enter all the details in the MP as if it was a new listing? I am a bit worried that if I do start removing from the MB and the MO doesn't work for some reason that I won't be able to go back to the MB, that would be a nightmare!
  11. Thanks for your help, I realised that myself after I posted the thread, I think my brain is fried from too much building!
  12. I have just started building (furniture and houses) to sell, and my problem is about the group editing on objects. I think in fact there are two separate issues, but briefly this is what is happening. I have land under a group name with my partner and began building using that group tag. When I decided to start selling, I formed a new group just for that purpose. I wanted the items created to show my name with the new group as creator, so I used the wrench icon to change. I spent quite a few hours doing this, only to discover once I took a copy for inventory, it reverted back to the original group tag. If I leave the object out on display, it remains changed to new group, but is there anyway to retain the edited change of group when taken into inventory?? I have tried wearing the new group tag when editing and copying, it made no difference. Another issue relating to this is creating. I switched off autoreturn on the land in order to build using new group tag, but no prim appears while i wear the new group tag, but when I switch back to old group tag, that is the group owning the land, the prim appears with the old group tag, not the new one I want to use for building. I would really like all my creations to have the proper group name on it, but I can't see a way around this. I don't see the point of having the ability to change the group name on an object if it doesn't stay changed. Btw, I'm using the Firestorm viewer if that makes any difference! Any suggestions would be very greatly appreciated! Thanks, Saoirse
  13. Thanks again for all your replies:smileyhappy: Millennium, it's a good thing I'm not a vegan, great "recipes" though! Finally, I'm no longer an egg, thanks to Canorro for the de bugging solution, which seems to have done the trick, or perhaps it's because Easter is over and SL was just playing a silly joke!:smileyhappy: Thanks again!
  14. Thanks so much for your replies:smileyhappy: I'm going to try and have a go and see how well I get on. Thanks again, Saoirse
  15. Thanks:smileyhappy: I haven't had much time to try, and I think I did adjust the neck and head a bit, but I'll have another look and make some more adjustments see if that helps. I'll have to give Poser a go as well. Thanks again, Saoirse
