The Non Linden Home Picture Thread - Mainland Only
Stephanie Misfit replied to Ingrid Ingersoll's topic in Mainland
Oooh, what house is that? It looks amazing. I love the Heterocea Atoll too. -
SOLD http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Horizons Sirius/27/188/24 1024m parcel, 24.4L/m, won't find cheaper. Live on it or flip it. Close to Supernova infohub.

Exactly, thank you. Most of the land I own is on General rated sims, and after 13 years of renting and owning mainland (and being a grown up that whole time), my preference is to live in General rated areas. I am not a family role-player. I just find, from long experience, that G rated sims offer me a better living experience. And yes, people will treat you like a pariah when you bring that up.

The link in this thread still works, I am pretty sure it is what I used, it has the full avatar with 3 materials -
Placing shading on body texture?
Stephanie Misfit replied to xKaylaHallison's topic in Building and Texturing Forum
I used to, been a while though. I had a 3d object of the whole avatar to paint on, with separate upper and lower textures of course. So I could just paint across seams. I don't know where I got that full avatar object but it will be obtainable somewhere. -
I've made one of my waterfront places that is near an infohub similarly welcoming, and it has bumper boats and bicycles that people can use to explore the surrounding area. I get most of my fun stuff from Culprit but I would love to know where to get more.

Do you use voice chat?
Stephanie Misfit replied to Gopi Passiflora's topic in General Discussion Forum
Most of the time I completely forget that SL has a voice feature, I've had it turned off since voice was introduced. I make sure to turn it off in the parcel settings whenever I buy land, and that's as much thought as I give to it. Until I went to an event on my alt last weekend, and a group of people had a go at me for having voice turned off, apparently they were annoyed because it made it harder for them to harass me. Griefers these days, I tell ya. -
I'm not quite ready to get a Linden home yet so I don't know what options are available, but I prefer living on G rated sims. Are all the sims, er sorry regions, in Bellisseria mature rated? Thanks.

Bakes on mesh allowed me to check out one of the skins from my old skin store, I think I made this in maybe 2009? I've put it on Lelutka Piper and it fits! Remember the days before tattoo layers, when you bought skins with makeup already on them, that's what this is. Anyway, my avatar really looks like me today because I wore this skin for ages, maybe in a paler tone though. I don't know if I have the PSD file for this skin, maybe on an old hard drive somewhere. Obviously the uploaded textures are only 512 pixels so the quality is poor. That's Magika Billie hair which is nice and natural looking.

Stunning shot.

13 years and 4 months. The number of friends who are older than me is decreasing, though I still have a few who have been around for 15.

Placing shading on body texture?
Stephanie Misfit replied to xKaylaHallison's topic in Building and Texturing Forum
These sound like the sort of thing you were trying to make, they were quite popular back in the day when I was making skins. Whether they are any better than the results you got though, I have no idea. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Fake-Bake-Shaded-Avatar-TGAs-Tutorial/140146 -
Do you incorporate RL aspects into your Avy/SL
Stephanie Misfit replied to MaxineWarridious's topic in Your Avatar
Not in the slightest. I sometimes feel like with the success of all the mall style clothing stores like Blueberry, and the drab offerings of the big events, I must be in a minority. -

The Non Linden Home Picture Thread - Mainland Only

My waterfront parcel at Miru with a sweet little building by 8f8. I haven't put too much out on this property because it's where I have my sky platform and I need the prims for working on stuff. I have a dock with some cute little bumper boats by Culprit. The area is actually not bad for boating because it's next to The L-Shaped Lake and there's a ton of other Linden waterways surrounding it. Land never goes up for sale in this sim, I've had the same neighbours forever, it's pretty great.- 984 replies

Hi fellow Bay City residents. I'm guilty of owning one of those empty parcels in Bay City. I use it for prims for my main parcel but I'd like to put a building on it that is in theme. I have a bit over 1000 prims spare ( but obviously don't want to use all of those) and the parcel is 20m x 30m canal front, no road access. Anyone have any great ideas?

give me a photoshop app for create clothes free
Stephanie Misfit replied to joumene111's topic in Fashion
It sounds like you are looking for a free alternative to Marvelous Designer. I'm not aware of anything completely free but there are some affordable sewing plugins for Blender, like Cloth Weaver, that you might want to look into. Perpetual licenses of MD also go on sale regularly, at quite a huge discount, so keep an eye out for that. -

This is my place in lovely Iris (as it currently looks, I change a lot). You can see the Moth Temple info hub in the background, and of course all of the wonderful work done by the SL Public Land Preserve. I was very lucky to find a parcel to buy here last year at a reasonable price. I can remember spending time around the boardwalks of the preserve in my early days and really enjoying it so it is nice to live there now, although I must say I end up spending too much time on a boring work platform and not on the ground. It wouldn't be a great place to live if you needed privacy, I get people wandering in from the info hub and generally have a quick chat with them. I put out speed boats by Culprit for people to use, I see that they sometimes are so that's good. Oh, the fishing shed is by AustinLiam Resident, in world or on the marketplace.- 984 replies

I have 2 avatars with well in excess of 150k items in inventory each. Kind of glad I never bothered getting rid of all those old system skins and clothes with BOM being released, I have some great stuff. But I also have hair and shoes from 2006......... On occasion I have tried to go through and clean things up, everything is sorted in sub-folders at least.

Special needs user
Stephanie Misfit replied to Annabell Wandsworth's topic in General Discussion Forum
IF he has a legal guardian and lets you know who his guardian is (it could be a parent or other person given legal responsibility through the courts), then you may be able to do something by contacting them. If he is an adult without a guardian there appears to be nothing in the TOS to stop him doing this, and nothing you can do without breaching his privacy. If people are breaching the TOS in their exploitation of him you could of course encourage him to report that, but from what you say he is doing this willingly. There are lots of people in his situation unfortunately. -
List of Creators Producing BoM-Compliant Goods
Stephanie Misfit replied to Scylla Rhiadra's topic in Bakes on Mesh
LeLutka has begun updating their heads to BoM. The heads will be updated in batches, currently only Aida, Guy and Korina have received updates. Info is available in their update group, but basically the BoM button now works properly on those heads. -
I don't know about the willow trees sorry, but for affordable low LI garden stuff, Dysfunctionality [DDD] is really good. They have an in world store, easy to find in search.

Any stores with high quality unique/fantasy hair?
Stephanie Misfit replied to Lentissimo's topic in Wanted
You could see what Adoness has, they fit the goth style. Tableau Vivant has a small selection of fantasy hair. Vanity Hair has some pretty outrageous looking hairstyles.
