  1. I like this but I think you also might be underestimating how creative some builders are who would use that as a loophole to create some existing structure around or even incorporating that landscaping into a build somehow 😁
  2. This is also the reason for getting involved in some of the active groups in Belisseria... your best experience of neighbors likely wont be your neighbors in your region but of the overall continent. Join one or both of the 2 big groups, maybe find 1 or 2 of the smaller groups that interest you. Then maybe come to some of the house parties that are actively promoted and you will meet plenty of friendly neighbors. I highly recommend too, get out of your own region and go explore around a bit you will find plenty of people out there.
  3. Sorry but if people paid money for their premium account and decided to get a house and do nothing with it there is no problem with that... If anything THANK them... their choice not to fill their boat or house with stuff just reduced lag on your region
  4. You are awesome Abnor and thank you for what you and the Moles are doing!!! For anyone still confused... think of it this way... I have this big juicy red apple... if I eat it as is I eat 1 apple... if I slice it in quarters I eat 1 apple... if I slice it into 8th's it's still 1 apple... if I dice it into 100 pieces it's still 1 apple... if I juice it and drink it it's still 1 apple... People... just let it go, you will get a house eventually but no new creative distribution process will make 1 apple into 2 apples or 1 Linden home into 2... They will be built when they are built.
  5. Now we can all be waiting until the day that Beefy Mole is a thing 🤣
  6. Although my spider sense is telling me there may be less and less abandoned houses as a result of this... Once people realize that auto refresh is not a feasible option anymore they wont feel as confident that they can find a new location as quickly as they could with auto refresh.. therefore they will hold onto the location they have rather then dumping back into the pool and trying for a more desirable location. Will have to see how this effects the process going forward although I am interested to see how they streamline the web page I still am a firm believer that the best thing is not a new process or a tweak to the old process... but rather beefing up their Mole team for the coming months and possibly years of building and do everything they can to speed up the actual production of homes. EDITED: Speed on homes of course WITHOUT compromising the uniqueness of each individual region they build (IE no cookie cutter copy-pasting of regions)
  7. no quotation marks oat would work boat boathouse If you dont really care which kind of house comes up just want a better chance of getting a house then use bellisseria
  8. Now THIS is a Thread I can get behind! Thanks @PrudenceAnton for starting it!!! I can attest this method does work... you must have patience with it because the results will likely not be immediate... don't get discouraged if you are too slow the first several tries... practice makes perfect and you can and will get faster at clicking through the screens. AND I also encourage you to try it while sleeping 😃 yes you heard that right... SLEEPING... i got mine in the middle of the night while I was asleep and had to jump out of bed real quick and get through all the screens Just get the computer close to where you sleep and turn that volume up on your computer so it will wake you up fast!
  9. YaY for the Moles going about their business building homes... Hugs for all of them!!!
  10. Wow what an absolutely terrible assumption to make of someone's father. This should get an award for the most mean spirited comment of the day
  11. And your lottery method still creates NO NEW HOMES What it does create is more unnecessary coding and work for the Lindens in a way that does not increase the rate in which people get homes... and with that i am done because both you and me are now just repeating our exact same points...
  12. then my guess as to when you would get your lottery method... soon
  13. And the answer that Patch already gave is no... and in all fairness... refresh is already a lottery and everyone is free to take as many chances at that lottery as they can... some do it smarter than others by using an Auto refresh tool that allows you to comfortably go about your Second Life while it runs in the background... Asking the Lindens to go back and code something together just to change the process of how people get homes and not actually increase the rate at which those homes are made.... sorry its just a waste of personnel resources on the Linden side of things... If anything I would hope the Lindens are looking to hire more Moles in the coming weeks and months and increase the building labor pool... Now THAT would be an idea I would get behind The BEST thing people can do now is continue on their Second Lives... Houses will eventually be made... refresh anytime you want but there is still a lot going on in Second Life while people wait for a house... And for those of you who want to participate in the Bellisseria Community we really are not an exclusive club... anyone can come over and join in the activities anytime you want... there are 2 very large groups you can join and a wide assortment of smaller groups covering various interests most of those activities don't happen at our own homes anyways. Many of us spent weeks roaming around Bellisseria getting to know people, participating in social activities long before we even had homes... It made our homes feel that much more special when we did luck our way into one because we were already part of something by then.
  14. Any change to process does not change the number of houses... all it does is reorder who gets the next one that's all... and probably would slow down the creation of houses... the more houses that roll out the more people will abandon too... just keep trying. But clamoring for a different process is not going to get anyone closer to their house. We also already have dozens of threads like this already.
  15. If you want a quick Linden home that is already copy pasted out for you... may I suggest a Meadowbrook
  16. No... we do not want cookie cutter continents... no copy paste... we want nice hand made regions that are unique... the 2010 Linden homes failed because there was almost nothing unique about those regions on top of their already painful size... Lets just let the Moles do their job and stop trying to be backseat drivers
  17. Somebody PLEASE make the Bellisseria Raccoon https://giphy.com/gifs/cat-funny-DgXnCrua99pPW
  18. Nobody here is disputing whether the fairgrounds are open for use by all groups... We are however asking for clarity on the specific policy of TIP JARS and why this seems to have been communicated by the Lindens to SOME but not ALL of the groups in regards to TIP JARS
  19. My 2 cents to add to this Granted I was not one of the main organizers for the 4th of July Event on Thursday... I was one of the builders though. I don't recall our group ever being told that our DJ could rez out a tip jar (although i could be wrong on this too as I was not involved in on all the conversations). So there definitely needs to be some clarity on this... I'm not going to dispute that they were told on Saturday they could rez out tip jars, but it certainly was not consistent nor was it made publicly known as a fairground policy. At this point I mostly feel bad now for our wonderful DJ for 4th of July who did not have the benefit of having a tip jar out for his time.
  20. I think the lesson in all this is, and I realize not every neighbor is ideal, considering that your neighbors have the ability to ban you and effectively create ban lines for you... Maybe as a rule of thumb just try your best to be a good neighbor... the best way to never see ban lines is simply that, be magnanimous, try to resolve things peacefully... it will benefit you in the long run. I try to get to know my neighbors on the sim, especially those directly next to me... it just helps for a better Linden Home experience.
