  1. That makes sense @Teresa Firelight. I think it is likely that some people still don't know about Belli; some like how empty and unlaggy the old homes are; some just want a place to dress and unpack a box or two; some are creatures of habit; others may want the space to invite residents for game play; some prefer solitude to socialization; some may misunderstand tier, others may not care for decorating or are intimidated by the thought; some may not like the "policing" that goes on in more rule-driven areas; and some may just be plain ol' nuts lol! Personally it took me a very long time to move because I didn't like how confining the homes felt.
  2. Nah. Much easier to just let the dead deal with it themselves.
  3. Ouch! This alphabet soup is giving me a headache! Open GL, Closed GL, SL uses mostly GPU or is it CPU, or mostly RAM? Whichever, I understand just a little. Please help me identify specs for a relatively high-end laptop for SL that's not a heavy, lit up gaming system - and which will still support SL graphics in a year or two. All I use now is a 14-inch ThinkPad with an 11th gen i7, 16 DDR4, and no video card. Though it works pretty well, there is lots of room for improvement! So far I know to look for: at least 32 gigs of DDR5 RAM 12th gen Intel i7 (now there are letters after the i-7?) some sort of NVIDEA RTX card that won't sound like it is taking off (fat chance) - or Quatro? in a relatively light weight body (4 or 5 lbs?) with which is the fasted SSD now, M2? 16" (preferably) or 17" brilliant screen whose native resolution may be higher, but that can be run at 1920 x 1080 for better performance. Does anybody make non-OLED brilliant screens these days - like MSI used to years ago? Any suggestions are very appreciated.
  4. A little off topic, but there was talk a while back about how the homes had to be set in a certain spot to prevent Linden landscape from poking through the house. That problem should be less of an issue on a larger lot, thus homes could have dissimilar footprints and may even be able to shift direction, both requested features. Since vics are a beloved theme, I will venture that maybe some sort of vic will be part of the picks along with other requested styles like mid-century, modern, trads, and various "ranch" styles that could coordinate, as they do in RL neighborhoods. If vics are included, the artistry will be to coordinate the amazing, romantic landscaping with the various home styles. Maybe there will be sims regions landscaped to compliment home style a, b, c and others to compliment x, y, z. Counterintuitive perhaps, but I would be delighted to have a contemporary high-ceilinged "ranch" with vic landscaping. (A girl can dream.💗)
  5. On 2/13/2023 at 9:42 AM, Abnor Mole said: 2048 Premium Plus homes will be an all new theme. There are no plans for 2048 parcels for older themes at this time. ----------------(had to copy and paste this one)--------------- Well, OK then. Time to start a new thread speculating what style(s) will be available. 😁
  6. Hmmm, using the same criteria, isn't it fair to say that it is classist to discriminate against those who choose to use PIOF? *quickly runs out of here*
  7. @Patch Linden When the NUX bodies release, consider referring users to a help thread here in the forums where we can help the newbies. Doing so will introduce people to the forums as well as offer support. The more people here, the better.
  8. Pet Delight: It warms my heart @Love Zhaoyingthe way so, so many simple things make your day. Great reminder to find the joy in life's little triumphs. Keep it up!!!
  9. Give him a break. He's ultra involved in everything Belli. And if I remember correctly, he said something about being at death's doorstep or something like that.

  11. Beautiful, beautiful landscaping in Fantasy, but the homes were too large, too thick and too heavy, taking away from beloved outdoor space. The second problem developed over time. The teal landscape started giving me a headache. Despite that teal is a favorite color, I wanted the world to be a greener place.
  12. Wasn't there talk at some point that the 2048s might offer a selection of homes from various themes?
  13. Looks like it was supposed to be presented around Christmas given the decor. But Patch got sick and it was pushed back?
  14. Very happy to see Patch back too. He was feeling kind of icky at the last of his Christmas processionals near the end of December. But despite voice issues, he plowed through. For anybody who has not experienced these shows, I highly recommend catching one next holiday season. Welcome back @Patch Linden!
  15. I'm glad all you guys are happily divesting yourselves of your beautiful homes. That just gives me more good stuff to grab. 😝 Just kidding! I won't be picking up anything more until the 2048s arrive. When that happens, I will need one more alt to pick up group tier elsewhere. So, for now, I will skip the Twelve Steps and stay addicted. *Takes a good swig of something very addictive.*
  16. Be the Perfect Pet or ask your partner to be it, LOL! KittyCats put out two free KittyCat heads for the taking. I love it! (Not sure if you need the group.) 😆 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/KittyCatS/132/41/26
  17. I think I saw the information somewhere in the forums, but cannot find it. It was pretty recent. Anybody remember anything?
  18. Thank you for that @Marisa Starbrook. Nevertheless, I ended up using the old 17 Li lights on my Westminster since they were already fitted, and I preferred the look. After a few script error blips, I manually positioned them with no other problems.
  19. The new HBs look like trads on a barge to me, and not in a good way. But, now that I finally decorated it well, I LOVE the open plan trads! I was planning on dumping one of them to wait for the 2048s, but I upgraded an alt instead.
  20. @StytchwytchThank you for the information on winners. For those of us, like myself, who are not group members of the aforementioned groups and are unfamiliar with where to find the information, would you be willing to provide the url where in the Christmas Expo website we can find the winner information? (Or any other website where that information may be posted.)
  21. Oh dear, I hope not! No high ceilings and no huge windows! @Marianne Littlecan I borrow the sledgehammer when you're done?
  22. Thank you Moles for the naming protocol - where the open version starts with the same letter as the original. Now maybe I can keep up. Was this done in Fantasy too? (I was gone by then.) I upgraded a Winchester. And I hate it! There is nothing wrong with the updated model. It's me. It was cohesive before and now it's not. There's something to be said in favor of what happens after months and months of constantly tweaking a build!
