  1. *Groans* Inventory inventory inventory. I wish I could detach it and leave it somewhere safe for events. Think detachable suitcase! Please add that to the wish list Linden Labs.
  2. I thought the Oberwolf-Phillip SLB19 chat would not be very interesting, but on the contrary, I found it fascinating. To understand more about how our new owners fit together and organically came to be was heartening. Phillip's integrity, love of community, vision, and gentle style counterbalanced Oberwolf's practical, timely, and sharp business acumen. I appreciated that Oberwolf explained the business model they are betting on, and in my unlearned opinion, think it makes sense. I was pleasantly surprised at their transparency. I may be all wrong, but in my observation, I think we sadly may have lost some Lindens but gained some wonderful moles. Cut costs here, invest there: they did empower Patch to let his active imagination soar resulting in the beautiful Belli continents. I eagerly await 2048 Belli. (Hint hint: very high ceilings/glass wall open concept modern Meadowbrook-like builds would be amazing on 2048 lots!) A couple years ago when we first were told of the sale there was widespread fear that we would be acquired and sold off in pieces. On the contrary, Linden Lab is heavily investing in SL, has cut fat, and looks for ways to give us the most bang ("value") for our buck. Of course nothing is perfect, but I have certainly noticed the difference. I appreciate that they chose to continue Ebbe's successful open interactive style with the residents. Fingers crossed, I left thinking that we are in very good hands.
  3. That's a great way to get the message to the old LH residents! Empty lots among some half knocked down condemned (unoccupied) homes with a bulldozer here and there. Some signage pointing to Belli and what they could have with double prims or even with their regular 512 Li.
  4. I am in. Now I'm looking forward to seeing what the 2024 Linden Homes will look like. Please, please setup a demo region or two! Just an idea - how amazing those big lots would fit modern homes with very high ceilings and glass walls... (just dreaming)
  5. I like it. In a perfect world we would be able to gift components to an alt.
  6. Not to beat this to death; this is a rhetorical question: Linden Homes are on "normal" 20,000 Li sims. I wonder what would happen if the content got plopped down onto one the simulators that support 30,000 Li. Or, better yet, one of the amazing new chips that can hold 60,000 Li along with a ton of avatars? Premium plus... Hmmm...
  7. I think you have to log in the avi on a Tuesday to get the stipend, unless that has been changed.
  8. Wait. Maybe a year or two or more ago, around the time of the pods coming to Belli controversy, I remember posts that she was sick with Covid or something like that. It took months, but she was finally strong enough to come back. So, I don't think Yavanna is dead. In any case her spirit is alive and well on Discord (Yava Pod Riders). I was not comfortable asking them if she was dead.
  9. Pretend? Heck no! If you think I mean that we have to pretend in order to remain civil, I am saddened. I am referring to resisting the urge to hastily post emotionally laden content (because it feels good) without taking the time to reflect on what will be said in hot-button topics. Hopefully we are misunderstanding one another.
  10. Lol! What prompted me to start this sub-discussion around page 19 was the vitriol and hate speech in many of the posts, mostly attached to political ideology. The thread has cleaned up quite a bit. Seems that talking about it has resulted in more mindful posting. Yay for us!
  11. Nothing wrong in my book with upsetting people. A good debate will upset some people. However, it might benefit all of us if we could shoot for a more respectful and perhaps considerate tone.
  12. Free speech has to be respectful. If it isn't conversation will quickly degrade into the disparaging, vitriolic mess that is all too common here and elsewhere.
  13. Hmmm... There is a middle ground here, yet you seem to be making the argument - which I am strongly opposed to - that it is OK to shame, disparage or name call someone because you feel like it and choose to disregard how the target person may handle it.
  14. @Scylla RhiadraIt doesn't matter which political side the fascist accusation is levied at. A fascist accusation is an inflammatory and profoundly unhelpful comment to make. It will encourage the opposite of the open and inclusive dialog you seek.
  15. Anything can be inflammatory depending on how it is said. Nevertheless, it seems we disagree on what is truth. So be it.
  16. @Scylla Rhiadra You asked if there was a point I wanted to make, and if I thought your posts were toxic. Well... Yes. Insinuation of fascism is inflammatory at best.
  17. @Scylla RhiadraYou said, "...and a more liberal acceptance of negativity sets the tone for discourse there." And certainly here. Perhaps you did not condone this thread's behavior, but you did rationalize it. (We misbehave because of the tone Twitter set.) If this tone is what we don't want here, then why are we engaging in it? Because of Twitter's tone?
  18. @Scylla RhiadraRather than what tone you believe Musk sets, which parenthetically you use to condone the behavior here, my comment referred to the vitriol that we, the citizens of this forum, create. I asked if this angry tone represents who we want to be. I asked for personal reasons, hoping my question would lead some of us to reflect and chill. Mindfulness is a great thing. Speaking for myself, I would love to see us minimize the vitriol and just talk.
  19. So much emotion and thinly veiled animosity / hatred is being directed toward Musk by some who are suspicious of or who don't share Musk's views. He is wished ill will, is judged and pronounced guilty of negative motivation, is subject to ridicule, etc. Is vitriol the vibe we want for this thread? I wonder what this thread would look like if the contempt was missing.
  20. Shocker: I thought the open floor plan would make the space look bigger! It didn't! But I still really liked the open Aderly and can't wait to see the open plans in the mailboxes!
  21. Oh! I would love to see that cafe! Would anybody have an lm?
  22. At one point Patch said that Fantasseria was a subcontinent of Belli (corrected thanks to Abner). You can't cam out to see it from bordering Belli lands. It is Fantasseria; a wonderful fantasy land. So, (shhhh, while you can tp in), you have to go through terribly rough waters to reach it by its single magical entrance.
